This paper is an innovative concept in the field of learning, especially Indonesian in elementary schools. The Shuttle Flow Model is an invention, the result of contemplating experiences during and after teaching, observing, and training teachers in learning practices. The existence of a ‘shuttling’ movement between values and competencies during learning and prioritizing the elements of connectedness, wholeness, and beingness are the main features of this model. The purpose of this model is to help teachers teach Indonesian in an integrative-holistic manner as well as a solution to teacher constraints in integrative learning in primary schools. This model displays the flexibility in integrating the four aspects of language skills with the core competencies in the 2013 Curriculum which flow back and forth in the direction formed by the flow of competencies. This direction shows the relationship between aspects of language skills from and to core competencies. That is why it is called the Shuttle Flow Modle or the Shuttle Flow Model. The presence of this model is so important to guide teachers in developing the self-potential of students holistically. By using this model, teachers will never run out of material in teaching, they can even find out what aspects and competencies the students are weak in. There are five strengths of this model and four weaknesses. Strengths are intensified to minimize weaknesses. It is recommended that this learning model be an innovative choice in learning in elementary schools.

The purpose of this research is to examine how training transfer is influenced by management support, training motivation, intention to transfer, affective reaction, utility reaction, supervisory support. To achieve this purpose, this study used the employees in Indonesian Ministry of Finance. A sample of 258 employees from level III and level IV leaders completed questionnaires that include measurements such as training motivation, supervisor supports, affective reaction, utility reaction, intention to transfer, training transfer, perceived training transfer, training retention, managerial transfer support, motivation to learn, training self-efficacy, and demographic characteristics. Hypothesis testing was done by using three steps of hierarchical regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there are significantly positive relationships between the aforementioned independent variables and training transfer. Implications of this study were discussed.

Drama techniques such as role playing or structured drama are widespread and frequently used methods of supporting the activity and participation of students in learning. Less known method which combines elements of drama education with global social issues is a Scottish method called Global Storylines. Within a three-year partnership project entitled "Expanding Participatory Teaching of Global Issues in the Primary Schools by Global Storylines Method" in whichthe Centre for Global Education NaZemi and the Institute for Research in Inclusive Education of Faculty of Education of Masaryk University participated, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,three principal research goals were followed: Global Storylines effect on the participation of students in education; Global Storylines supportive role in teaching global issues, and inclusive potential of Global Storylines method. In the first cycle of the method implementation the research sample consisted of 6 teachers from two elementary schools and one kindergarten, in the second cycle of 16 teachers from seven elementary schools and one kindergarten. To fulfill the research project the following qualitative research methods were used: repeated direct observation in classes (3–4 observations in each class), individual and group interviews with teachers and students, analysis of written teacher’s reflections of the story episodes and the analysis of other outcomes such as students’ works and photographs taken by teachers. The survey showed a high motivational influence on the activity level of students and their participation in education. Building a fictional community, which is the basis of work with the story, positively contributed to the development of imagination of students, strengthening their cooperation, self-esteem and interpersonal relationships. A linking has been detected between the level of participation and the inclusive potential of the method. Creating a new identity allows students and teachers to secede from existing social roles and gain a whole new perspective of each other. Students appreciated the privileges associated with adulthood, especially decision-making power and respect, while teachers welcomed the opportunity to leave the role of authority and become part of a community of learners.

Based on resource carrying capacity, this study used the revised theory of relative resource carrying capacity (RRCC) and introduced an innovative concept of relative fossil energy carrying capacity (RFECC), which evaluates the degree of fossil energy sustainability based on the relationship between economy, population, and environment. This study took China and the United States as the study objects, took the whole country as the reference area, and calculated the RFECC of population, economic, and environmental resources from 2000 to 2018. Therefore, based on the comparative analysis, the following conclusions were drawn: (i) there is a big difference in the RFECC between China and the United States, which is manifested in the inverted U-shaped trend in China and the U-shaped trend in the United States; (ii) the relative fossil energy carrying states in China and the United States are different, mainly reflected in the economy and environment; (iii) the gap in RFECC between China and the United States has gradually widened; in general, China’s economic RFECC is better than that of the United States, while environmental RFECC and population RFECC in the United States is better than that of China; and (iv) coal and oil should be used as a breakthrough point for the sustainable fossil energy and sustainable development for China and the United States, respectively.

This study aims at investigating the relationship between spiritual intelligence and organizational commitment in male teachers of elementary schools in Quchan in the 2013-2014 school years. This is an applied research. Since the researcher sought to study the relationship between the two components, this is correlation research. Considering the variables studied, statistical population was all male teachers in grades three and four at elementary school in Quchan in the 2013-2014 school years. Total number of teachers obtained from Quchan Department of Education was 98 and due to the small size of study population, sampling wasn't performed and the sample was considered equal to the population. Data collection tools were Meyer and Allen's organizational commitment questionnaire and Abdullah Zadeh's spiritual intelligence questionnaire. Having completed the questionnaires, the researcher used mean central statistical indicators and standard deviation dispersion measures and variance for data analysis in descriptive statistics level and in inferential statistics level, they used multivariate linear regression statistic method.The results showed that there was not a significant correlation between total spiritual intelligence and total organizational commitment. There was not also a significant correlation between spiritual intelligence and its components with continuance and normative commitments. However, there was a significant correlation between spiritual intelligence and its components with affective commitment.The findings indicated that spiritual intelligence has been effective in maintaining and improving organizational commitment and it should be tried to improve spirituality and spiritual intelligence in employees and teachers.

AbstractObjectiveTo define and delineate the nontechnical core competencies required for disaster response, Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) members were interviewed regarding their perspectives and experiences in disaster management. Also explored was the relationship between nontechnical competencies and interprofessional collaboration.MethodsIn-depth interviews were conducted with 10 Canadian DMAT members to explore how they viewed nontechnical core competencies and how their experiences influenced their perceptions toward interprofessonalism in disaster response. Data were examined using thematic analysis.ResultsNontechnical core competencies were categorized under austere skills, interpersonal skills, and cognitive skills. Research participants defined interprofessionalism and discussed the importance of specific nontechnical core competencies to interprofessional collaboration.ConclusionsThe findings of this study established a connection between nontechnical core competencies and interprofessional collaboration in DMAT activities. It also provided preliminary insights into the importance of context in developing an evidence base for competency training in disaster response and management. In the digital era, the success of the professional development of future specialists in the process of obtaining higher education largely depends on their professional orientation (PN). Despite the significant interest in the subject of the study, the problem of identifying the factors that affect PN remains poorly understood. The purpose of the study is to determine the factors of the formation of PN of students enrolled in training and retraining programs, and the features of PN in the digital era. The article reveals the content and structure of the PN of future specialists in the era of digitalization. According to the results of the empirical research, the relationship of students' PN with indicators of life-meaning orientations, motives for choosing a profession and training was revealed; the relationship between students' life-meaning orientations and indicators of motives for choosing a profession and training at the stage of digitalization of education. The factors influencing the personal condition, and the factors of the formation of the personal condition of students, who are trained according to the programs of training and retraining of specialists, have been determined. As a result of an empirical study, it was concluded that a negative impact on the formation of PN is created by factors caused by various life circumstances, lack of independence of decisions in choosing a profession, low reflection of life goals, prospects for the future, rigidity of volitional and personal qualities, internal conflict in the structure of personality relationships, low pleasure training and the like. At the same time, the level of PN is significantly higher among students who receive a second higher education and who understand its importance at the stage of digitalization of education.
