Comparative analysis of in-line monitoring methods to determine the boundaries of the mixture region of petroleum products transported by serial transfer has been carried out. It has been found that the most promising method is infrared spectroscopy (IR spectroscopy) based on the absorption, reflection and dispersion of infrared energy. Currently, the use of IR spectroscopy for analyzing petroleum products is limited by an insufficient number of indirect methods for identifying and determining the structural fragments of hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon compounds. Experimental studies to assess the possibility of applying IR spectroscopy as a rapid method for determining the boundaries of mixture regions of various grades of petroleum products have been conducted. The purpose of the research: quantifying variations of IR spectra obtained from the analyzed test samples depending on the concentration of a certain grade of petroleum product in a petroleum product with a different hydrocarbon composition. The subject of the research: samples of AI-95 commercial motor gasoline (AB), inter-season diesel fuel (DT), TS-1 aviation kerosene (AK), and 1:1 ratio paired mixture thereof. The experimental results confirmed the high sensitivity of the IR spectroscopy method in determining changes to the hydrocarbon composition of petroleum product mixtures depending on the concentration thereof, which means a key conclusion about the possibi-lity of its use in controlling the mixing process of petroleum productstransported by serial transfer can be drawn.

Yumoto and Dmochowski (Cancer Res.27, 2098 (1967)) reported the presence of mature and immature type C leukemia virus particles in leukemic organs and tissues such as lymph nodes, spleen, thymus, liver, and kidneys of SJL/J strain mice with Hodgki's-like disease or reticulum cell neoplasm (type B). In an attempt to ascertain the possibility that this neoplasia may be of viral origin, experiments with induction and transmission of this neoplasm were carried out using cell-free extracts of leukemic organs from an SJL/J strain mouse with spontaneous disease.It has been possible to induce the disease in low-leukemia BALB/c and C3HZB strain mice and serially transfer the neoplasia by cell-free extracts of leukemic organs of these mice. Histological examination revealed the neoplasia to be of either reticulum cell-type A or type B. Serial transfer is now in its fifth passage. In addition leukemic spleen from another SJL/J strain mouse with spontaneous reticulum cell neoplasm (type A) was set up in tissue culture and is now in its 141st serial passage in vitro. Preliminary results indicate that cell-free material of 39th tissue culture passage can reproduce neoplasia in BALB/c mice.

The problem of losses of oil products from leaks during their storage and transportation at oil supply facilities is considered. The influence of oil product leaks on the environmental situation around oil depots and gas stations is shown. A detailed overview of existing methods and tools for detecting leaks of petroleum products from storage facilities is presented. The evaluation of their effectiveness. Two methods for detecting oil leaks and devices based on them are proposed. The first device monitors the movement of liquid in the tank, the second-detects petroleum products in wastewater. The problem of recovery of petroleum vapors and environmental pollution from the release of vapors of light fractions into the atmosphere is also considered. An overview of existing methods and means of recovery of petroleum vapors is presented. Two methods and devices for capturing oil vapors and returning them to the reservoir are proposed, based on different principles: vapor absorption in the cooled oil product and vapor recovery on the principle of the Carnot cycle. It is shown that these devices can provide effective detection of oil leaks and recovery of their vapors, as well as improve the effectiveness of environmental protection at modern gas stations and tank farms.

At the stage of water treatment for irrigation systems, the efficiency capture coarse and fine mechanical impurities, as well as oil products and organic compounds affects the reliability of the equipment of the irrigation network and the safety of energy exchange processes in irrigated agricultural landscapes. The violation of work irrigation system can cause disruptions in irrigation schedules of agricultural crops, crop shortages, degradation phenomena on the soil and ecological tension. For the combined irrigation system, a water treatment unit has been developed, representing a hydrocyclone apparatus with a pipe filter in the case. For the capacity of 250 m3/h the main geometrical dimensions of hydrocyclone have been calculated. To organize the capture petroleum products and organic compounds, it has been proposed a modernization of a hydrocyclone unit, consisting in dividing the cylindrical part of the apparatus into two section. The first is section is for input irrigation water, the second one is for additional drainage of clarified irrigation water after sorption purification by the filter, placed on the disk and installed coaxially with the drain pipe and the pipe filter.

The article presents a clinical case of successful treatment of a patient with prolonged asthmatic status. The pathogenesis of purulent-septic and other life-threatening complications developing as a result of the above critical condition is described. The positive effect of a differentiated approach in conducting respiratory support depending on the stage of the disease is justified: at the beginning, when airway obstruction is in the foreground, and in the future, when restrictive respiratory disorders develop. When conducting respiratory support, the most reasonable methods for ensuring airway patency were selected. The necessity of neurovegetative blockade and myoplegia for the prevention of pulmonary barotrauma during respiratory support by aggressive ventilation modes and with the goal of antihypoxic protection of the brain is emphasized. During the treatment of the patient, it was confirmed that the optimal regime for obstruction of the bronchi is forced volume-cyclic ventilation of the lungs to provide the necessary minute volume of breathing, and in severe pneumonia, in the case of relief of bronchial obstruction, respiratory support is carried out in pressure control mode for better air-oxygen mixture distribution in the airways. The need for early tracheostomy and daily therapeutic fibrobronchoscopy to ensure airway patency and treat pneumonia has been confirmed.
