Android is a software stack for mobile devices that includes an operating system, middleware, and key applications. Android is a software platform and operating system for mobile devices based on the Linux operating system and developed by Google and the Open Handset Alliance. It allows developers to write managed code in a Java-like language that utilizes Google-developed Java libraries but does not support programs developed in native code. The unveiling of the Android platform on 5 November 2007 was announced with the founding of the Open Handset Alliance, a consortium of 34 hard-ware, software and telecom companies devoted to advancing open standards for mobile devices. When released in 2008, most of the Android platform will be made available under the Apache free-software and open-source license.

In this thesis, we present a new kind of active tangible call an Actible. Actibles are an open source hardware/software platform for designing and implementing active tangibles for Tangible Embodied Interaction (TEI) applications. Web technologies and a smartwatch core are leveraged for ease of development, and enables the active tangibles to act coupled to a server, or act as their own server. This kind of connectivity enables the use of the Actibles independently or in combination with other devices and displays ubiquitously. We derived an expanded set of input and output interactions based on previous work on active tangibles, including tilting, shaking, neighboring, stacking, on-screen gestures, and integrated LED feedback. We describe the design and technical implementation of these interactions, and demonstrate it's use in a multitude of published example applications.

The Open Source Environment and API’s Android not only created a boom in the market but also attracted large number of people to turn in to application developers. Android not only changed the technology but also help people how to get better with the means of technology This paper mainly showcase kernel level development with the help of java native interface technology; and FFmpeg (open source codec project) tool and associated libraries and at the end android based codec application is designed and implemented with the help of c/c++ and other languages.

Due to the android platform is open source, more and more developers and manufacturers to use it. At the same time its security attracts more and more challenges, it is vulnerable to mobile phone virus attacks. In order to solve these problems, we should detect the files in the phone. Because the Boyer-Moore algorithms efficiency is higher than others, so we use it in android application intrusion detection. First we should set up a virus signature library, and store these signatures in the SQLite Database. Then scanning system of documents carries on the analysis and extraction corresponding feature codes, and use the BM algorithm to match them with virus signature, and we can find the viruses. What is new and original in this paper is that the efficiency of intrusion detection is higher.
