Due to the android platform is open source, more and more developers and manufacturers to use it. At the same time its security attracts more and more challenges, it is vulnerable to mobile phone virus attacks. In order to solve these problems, we should detect the files in the phone. Because the Boyer-Moore algorithms efficiency is higher than others, so we use it in android application intrusion detection. First we should set up a virus signature library, and store these signatures in the SQLite Database. Then scanning system of documents carries on the analysis and extraction corresponding feature codes, and use the BM algorithm to match them with virus signature, and we can find the viruses. What is new and original in this paper is that the efficiency of intrusion detection is higher.

This paper studies the development trend of intelligent mobile phone, confirmed the necessity of research on intelligent mobile phone malicious code. Study on the detection technology, proposed intelligent mobile phone regular networks and random networks based on malicious code propagation model, propagation mechanism is studied. Set up a perfect malicious code discovery and defense system model, at different levels is put forward that different, prove the necessity of scanning algorithm and Semantic Detection Algorithm for eigenvalue. To improve the security of the whole communication network.

In this technological world, smartphones can be considered as one of the most far-reaching inventions. It plays a vital role in connecting people socially. The number of mobile users using an Android based smartphone has increased rapidly since last few years resulting in organizations, cyber cell departments, government authorities feeling the need to monitor the activities on certain targeted devices in order to maintain proper functionality of their respective jobs. Also with the advent of smartphones, Android became one of the most popular and widely used Operating System. Its highlighting features are that it is user friendly, smartly designed, flexible, highly customizable and supports latest technologies like IoT. One of the features that makes it exclusive is that it is based on Linux and is Open Source for all the developers. This is the reason why our project Mackdroid is an Android based application that collects data from the remote device, stores it and displays on a PHP based web page. It is primarily a monitoring service that analyzes the contents and distributes it in various categories like Call Logs, Chats, Key logs, etc. Our project aims at developing an Android application that can be used to track, monitor, store and grab data from the device and store it on a server which can be accessed by the handler of the application.

ObjectiveAn intranet portal that combines cost-free, open-source software technology with easy set-up features can be beneficial for daily hospital processes. We describe the short-term adoption rates of a costless content management system (CMS) in the intranet of a tertiary Greek hospital.DesignDashboard statistics of our CMS platform were the implementation assessment of our system.ResultsIn a period of 10 months of running the software, the results indicate the employees overcame ‘Resistance to Change’ status. The average growth rate of end users who exploit the portal services is calculated as 2.73 every 3.3 months.ConclusionWe found our intranet web-based portal to be acceptable and helpful so far. Exploitation of an open-source CMS within the hospital intranet can influence healthcare management and the employees’ way of working as well.

Many Indonesian people, especially in Bali, make pigs as livestock. Pig livestock are susceptible to various types of diseases and there have been many cases of pig deaths due to diseases that cause losses to breeders. Therefore, the author wants to create an Android-based application that can predict the type of disease in pigs by applying the C4.5 Algorithm. The C4.5 algorithm is an algorithm for classifying data in order to obtain a rule that is used to predict something. In this study, 50 training data sets were used with 8 types of diseases in pigs and 31 symptoms of disease. which is then inputted into the system so that the data is processed so that the system in the form of an Android application can predict the type of disease in pigs. In the testing process, it was carried out by testing 15 test data sets and producing an accuracy value that is 86.7%. In testing the application features built using the Kotlin programming language and the SQLite database, it has been running as expected.

Digital preservation activities among law libraries have largely been limited by a lack of funding, staffing and expertise. Most law school libraries that have already implemented an Institutional Repository (IR) chose proprietary platforms because they are easy to set up, customize, and maintain with the technical and development support they provide. The Texas Tech University School of Law Digital Repository is one of the few law school repositories in the nation that is built on the DSpace open source platform.1 The repository is the law school’s first institutional repository in history. It was designed to collect, preserve, share and promote the law school’s digital materials, including research and scholarship of the law faculty and students, institutional history, and law-related resources. In addition, the repository also serves as a dark archive to house internal records.

Abstract Quantitative structure activity relationships (QSAR) modelling is a well-known computational tool, often used in a wide variety of applications. Yet one of the major drawbacks of conventional QSAR modelling tools is that models are set up based on a limited number of experimental and/or theoretical conditions. To overcome this, the so-called multitasking or multi-target QSAR (mt-QSAR) approaches have emerged as new computational tools able to integrate diverse chemical and biological data into a single model equation, thus extending and improving the reliability of this type of modelling. We have developed QSAR-Co-X, an open source python−based toolkit (available to download at https://github.com/ncordeirfcup/QSAR-Co-X) for supporting mt-QSAR modelling following the Box-Jenkins moving average approach. The new toolkit embodies several functionalities for dataset selection and curation plus computation of descriptors, for setting up linear and non-linear models, as well as for a comprehensive results analysis. The workflow within this toolkit is guided by a cohort of multiple statistical parameters along with graphical outputs onwards assessing both the predictivity and the robustness of the derived mt-QSAR models. To monitor and demonstrate the functionalities of the designed toolkit, three case-studies pertaining to previously reported datasets are examined here. We believe that this new toolkit, along with our previously launched QSAR-Co code, will significantly contribute to make mt-QSAR modelling widely and routinely applicable.

This paper introduces the basic principle and its applications of the mobile phone Bluetooth Printing technology. By analyzing the ESC/POS commands, the technical implementation principles of text print, photo print and one-dimensional / two-dimensional code print were presented. A software application applicable to Android platform was designed and developed, which accomplished the goal of text print, photo print and one-dimensional / two-dimensional code print via Bluetooth. This printing technology can be used for receipts and label printing, which contains good portability, extensibility and application value.

AbstractThe development and availability of personal computers and software as well as printing techniques in the last twenty years have made a profound change in the publication of scientific journals. Additionally, the Internet in the last decade has revolutionized the publication process to the point of changing the basic paradigm of printed journals. The Macedonian Journal of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering in its 40-year history has adopted and adapted to all these transformations. In order to keep up with the inevitable changes, as editor-in-chief I felt my responsibility was to introduce an electronic editorial managing of the journal. The choice was between commercial and open source platforms, and because of the limited funding of the journal we chose the latter. We decided on Open Journal Systems, which provided online submission and management of all content, had flexible configuration - requirements, sections, review process, etc., had options for comprehensive indexing, offered various reading tools, had email notification and commenting ability for readers, had an option for thesis abstracts and was installed locally. However, since there is limited support it requires a moderate computer knowledge/skills and effort in order to set up. Overall, it is an excellent editorial platform and a convenient solution for journals with a low budget or journals that do not want to spend their resources on commercial platforms or simply support the idea of open source software.

GPS-equipped smartphones provide new methods to collect data about travel behavior, including travel survey apps that incorporate automated location sensing. Previous approaches to this have involved proprietary or one-off tools that are inconsistent and difficult to evaluate. In contrast, e-mission is an open-source, extensible software platform that consists of ( a) an app for survey participants to install on their Android or iOS smartphones and ( b) cloud-hosted software for managing the collected data. e-mission collects continuous location data, user-initiated annotations, and responses to contextual, platform initiated survey questions. New studies can be set up using the existing University of California, Berkeley, infrastructure with no additional coding, or the platform can be extended for more complex projects. This paper reviews the requirements for smartphone travel data collection, describes the architecture and capabilities of the e-mission platform, and evaluates its performance in a pilot deployment. The results show that the platform is usable, with over 150 installations in a month; stable, with over 85% of users retaining it for more than 3 days; and extensible, with interface and survey customizations accomplished in a little over a week of full-time work by a transportation engineering researcher. We hope that e-mission will be a useful tool for app-based data collection and will serve as a catalyst for related research.
