This research is a quantitative study. The data used is sourced from CSA (Central Statistics Agency) North Sumatra and FSA (Financial Services Authority). The analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis with method Ordinary Least Square using program EVIEWS 8. The results showed that: 1) the Real Sector significantly positively affected the Regional Economic Growth of the North Sumatra Region with a probability value of 0.0000 less than the significant level (5%) or 0.0000<0.05. 2) Islamic Finance significantly positively affects the Regional Economic Growth of the North Sumatra Region with a probability value of 0.0000 less than the significant level (5%) or 0.0000<0.05. 3) The results of the study simultaneously show that the Real Sector and Islamic Finance have a significant effect on the Regional Economic Growth of the North Sumatra Region with a probability value (F-statistics) less than the significant level (5%) or 0.0000<0.05. It can also be seen in the regression of the R-Square value which shows that around 0.724519 or 0.72% of the Real Sector and Islamic Finance variables can explain the Regional Economic Growth of the North Sumatra Region in the 2015 – 2019 period, while the remaining 28% is explained by other variables. Keywords : GDP, Islamic Banking, Islamic Fianancing, North Sumatera, Real Sector, Regional Economic Growth, Trade sector

Positive economic growth indicates an increase in the economy of a country or region, whereas negative economic growth indicates a decline in the economy of a country or region. The indicator used to measure regional economic growth is the growth rate of Gross Regional Domestic Product at constant prices (real GDP). In increasing the economic growth of a region, not apart from the role of government in providing funds to finance regional economic development activities. Costs incurred for public service activities and development both economic and non-economic are often referred to as government expenditures. These government expenditures are allocated annually in the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget. Excavation of potential sources of income to support local expenditure and regional independence needs to be intensified, especially those originating from local revenue sources optimally will be able to contribute significantly to the improvement of Jambi Province's Regional Income and Expenditure Budget. The purpose of this study is to determine the financial capacity of regions derived from local revenue in supporting the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget, and to determine the rate of regional economic growth and analyze the influence of regional spending on economic growth in Jambi Province. This research was conducted in the scope of government of Jambi Province. The research method used qualitative descriptive method and linear regression analysis of econometric model of Ordinary Least Square method (OLS). The results show that during the period from 2010 to 2016, the financial capacity of regions originating from local own revenues has not been fully reliable in sustaining the Jambi Provincial Revenue and Expenditure Budget, as its contribution is still relatively low at an average of 34.13 percent per year . The economic growth of Jambi Province during the same period grew by 6.28 percent per year. Government expenditures significantly and positively affect the Economic Growth of Jambi Province. The conclusion is that an increased regional government spending will lead to increased economic growth of the region concerned. Keywords: Regional Finance, Government Expenditure, Economic Growth.

This study analyzes the determinants of regional economic growth and local government revenue (PAD) based on tourism, taxation, and budget policies in Kuningan District. This study uses the monthly data from 2015-2019 with 60 numbers of observations in total. Using the structural equation modeling partial least square (SEM-PLS), this study found that tourism, taxation, and budget policies directly affected regional economic growth. Neither does PAD affect regional economic growth nor mediate the indirect effect of tourism and taxation policies on economic growth. On the other hand, the budget policy can not moderate the influence of PAD on economic growth. This study also proves that the taxation policy reflected by the online-based tax collection system and the local tax increase budget positively affects PAD, while tourism can not affect it. This study implies that the local government of Kuningan need to focus on maximizing tourism sectors by directing the investment, budgets, and policies to develop its supporting industries.

This research aims to determine the effect of Fiscal Balance Funding on regional economic growth in East Java Province period 2015-2017. The data used in this research are Local Own Revenue (Pendapatan Asli Daerah), General Allocation Fund (Dana Alokasi Umum), Specific Allocation Fund (Dana Alokasi Khusus) and Village Fund (Dana Desa), Capital Expenditure (Belanja Modal) and Regional Gross Domestic Bruto (Produk Domestik Regional Bruto) from all district in East Java Province. The data used are obtained from the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance and the Central Bureau of Statistics. The sample in this study was 30 districts/cities in East Java Province and analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis. According to the calculation results based on the magnitude of the direct influence coefficient of the five variables shows that there is an indirect effect of District Own Revenue and General Allocation Fund on Regional Economic Growth through Capital Expenditure. Based on these results, the researchers provide suggestions that it is expected to allocate Special Allocation Fund for expenditures that have high impact on productive activities such as capital expenditure that can support regional economic growth. - This paper presents a new approach that measures and analyses the economic growth of regions in relation to a macro-system. The primary findings are that southern and central regions of Italy have different spatial patterns and magnitudes of relative economic growth in comparison with the North of Italy. More specifically, the morphology of the growth shows that several regions have a negative disproportionate economic growth (allometry) when compared to the North of Italy. These are important results for policy makers, who should balance these regional inequalities. In particular, economic and industrial policies should boost regional economic development through an increase in regional productivity, which is positively affected by R&D activities, human capital and infrastructures of neighbouring regions. Keywords: Regional economic growth, regional inequalities, italian regions.JEL classification: O10, O47, R11

The Republic of Indonesia consists of 34 provinces in 514 districts with diverse economic characteristics. The objective of this research is to analyze the association between agriculture sector and regional economic growth in Indonesia. The data source was from the Indonesia Database for Policy and Economic Research (INDO-DAPOER) of the World Bank. The study covered the period between 2001 and 2008. The province total gross domestic product (GDP) excluding oil and gas was used as the outcome variable. The covariates were grouped into agricultural and development variables. The agricultural variables were total agricultural credit, number of people employed in agriculture, forestry and fishery, and agriculture function expenditure. Meanwhile, the development variables were percentage of household with access to safe water and literacy rate for population age 15 and over. The data analysis method was the generalized least square multiple regression with random effects. The results of the study indicate that the Indonesia’s province GDP increased every year. In addition, higher economic growth was associated with higher total agriculture credit, larger number of people employed in agriculture, forestry and fishery, higher agricultural function expenditure, higher percentage of household with access to safe water, and higher literacy rate for population age 15 and over.
