Abstract. This research aims to find out the difference of students’ creative thinking skill using the PjBL learning model and conventional learning model for environmental pollution material. This research is a quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The population were all the students of class VII and the sample were 34 students of class VII A and VII C. Data collection techniques used an essay. Data analysis in this study was conducted by t-test. The results showed that (1) creative thinking skill of students taught using PjBL learning model of environmental pollution material are in the moderate category with an average value of 58.23; (2) creative thinking skill of students taught using conventional learning model of environmental pollution are in the low category with an average value of 46.70; (3) there is difference of students’ creative thinking skill using PjBL learning model and conventional learning model of environmental pollution materials where students taught through PjBL learning model have higher creative thinking skills than taught by conventional learning model. Keywords: creative thinking skill, project-based learning, coventional learning.

C Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model supports students to focus on learning and skill processes. CPS learning, students could select, process, and develop their responses in solving a problem creatively. Metacognition plays an important role in CPS since it could monitor students in selecting and using strategy to improve further cognitive performance. This research aims to find out effectiveness of CPS learning model on mathematics creative thinking skill reviewed from students’ metacognitions. This mixed method research used sequential explanatory design. The population consisted of VIII graders at SMP N 4 Kudus. The samples consisted of experimental class with CPS learning and control class with discovery learning. The first stage of thr research was quantitative data collection. It were done using test and questionnaires to categorized the subject. The next stage was qualitative data collections which were done by using questionnaires and interview. Data of  quantitative data were triangulated with the qualitative data to gain the goal of the research. The findings showed that CPS model was effective to improve creative thinking skill reviewed from students’ metacognitions. Students with high metacognition in the experimental class are more creative than the control class. CPS learning can improve students' creative thinking through the stages of idea finding to acceptance finding, because students can find new ideas and choose the right solution from some of the ideas they have. Mathematics  creative thinking skill of the students with high metacognition shown form the students’ ability in writing problem solving skill of creative questions logically and could provide other notions. Students with medium category have the similar achievement but can correct errors; meanwhile students with low metacognition can wrote problem solving skill of creative questions quite logically and still have problems in giving ideas.

Abstract The purpose of this study is to determine the increase of creative thinking ability and creative thinking skill in mathematics learning with mathematic in context approach. The technique analisys used is the average comparative test for pretest and posstest data. To see an increased creative thinking skill, researcher compare the average value of creative thinking skills from the first meeting, the meeting II and III meeting. The result showed that there is an increasing of creative thinking ability and crtative thinking skill in mathematics learning with mathematic in context approach.

The learning model is basically a form of learning which is illustrated from the opening to the closing that is typically presented by teachers or lecturers. While the method of learning is the way used to implement the plan that has been prepared in the real activity for the objectives that have been compiled achieved optimally.Direct instruction model can encourage students' skill to build their own knowledge through learning activities. The learning activities provided are by giving the exercises directly. Giving the tasks directly by providing a problem that must be solved by students so that students are expected to be active to deepen the material provided. The implementation of direct instructioncan improve students' creative thinking skill. This is evident from the the students’ skill in presenting the results of observations that they have done. They have broader thoughts and insights because they have learned from the firsthand. Direct instruction can provide a meaningful experience in learning. Keywords: Creative thinking, Direct instruction, Learning model
