The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of compensation on the teacher performance in vocational school. This research used a quantitative approach. Data collection technique was by distributing a questionnaire using a five-likert scale. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Samples taken from each school amounted to 3 teachers from each department, so there were 42 respondents from 5 schools. Validity test used the Pearson product moment. The analysis technique used to answer the research hypothesis uses simple linear regression. The results showed that teacher compensation had an effect on teacher performance in vocational high school.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh budaya organisasi dan motivasi terhadap kinerja guru dengan menggunakan metode survey explanatory. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan skor yang terentang antara 1 sampai 5 model rating scale. Responden adalah guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di Kota Bandung. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa budaya organisasi di sekolah dan motivasi memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Oleh karena itu, kinerja guru dapat ditingkatkan melalui peningkatan budaya organisasi dan motivasi. Implikasinya adalah adanya kebutuhan untuk Kepala Sekolah atau pemimpin lainnya dalam mengambil tindakan yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan kinerja guru.Kata Kunci: kinerja guru, budaya organisasi, motivasi ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE AND MOTIVATION AS PREDICTORS OF TEACHER PERFORMANCE AT VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLThe purpose of this study was to analyze influence organizational culture and motivation to teacher performance. Teacher as a professional educator should has the academic qualification. Academic qualification required for a teacher is he or she at least should be educated of bachelor degree or diploma four.</p> <p>Fundamentaly, teacher performance is determined by the expertise and ability of teacher concerned. These achievement factor is so thick and so critical in its relation to competence, compensation, and also job satisfaction that may become the obstacle in the enhancement of teacher performance.</p> <p>Population in this research was the teachers of the State Vocational High School Teachers in Surabaya, amounted to 317, educated in bachelor degree or diploma four, had have service of minimal 5 years. Data analysis used the simple random sampling, structural equation model (SEM) analysis, by the assistance of PLS 2 software, conducted on 92 respondents and able to explain the effect of competence and compensation on the job satisfaction and the performance of the State Vocational High School Teachers in Surabaya.</p> <p>The results of research indicated that: Competence and compensation significantly influential on teacher job satisfaction;  Competence and compensation significantly influential on teacher performance; Teacher Job satisfaction signifiacntly influential on the performance of the State Vocational High School Teachers in Surabaya.</p> <p>The largest effect of the three variables hipothesized on teacher performance in this research was the direct relatedness between compensation and teacher performance.</p> <p> </p> Key Words: competence, compensation, teacher job satisfaction, teacher performance

 ABSTRACT         Effect of Competence, Work Involvement and Employment Compensation on teachers on teacher performance at Batam State Vocational High School. This study aims to determine the effect of teacher work competency and work involvement and compensation for the performance of Batam State Secondary School Teachers. Sources of data found are primary data obtained directly from the answers from the questionnaire concerned with the research with the above qualifications. Coupled with several references from the researchers themselves. Based on this study, the Competence of Teacher Involvement and Compensation on the Performance of Teachers of Batam State Vocational Middle School Teachers has a significant effect both partially and simultaneously at a 100% confidence level. The value of R Square in this study is 0.644 which means that only 64.4% changes in employee performance levels can be explained by Competency, Teacher Involvement, Teacher Performance and Teacher Compensation at Batam Vocational High School while the rest are influenced by other variables that are not observed. in this research. This research intends to observe how transformational leadership and interpersonal communication affect teachers’ performance at the State Vocational High School of East Jakarta II. Researchers use the survey to collect quantitative data and multiple regression. Using the Slovin technique and closed-questionnaire, the researcher got 78 teachers of 353 people to become the research sample. The hypothesis is obtained from the t-test and F-test. The result shows that transformational leadership and teachers’ performance have a positive and significant effect, which means that the principals’ roles substantially improve teachers’ performance. Interpersonal communication and teachers’ performance also have positive and significant effects. It means that communication between principal and teachers’ can have a significant impact on teachers’ performance. Transformational leadership and interpersonal communication have a positive and significant effect with a coefficient of determination of 0.205 or 20.5%, meaning that transformational leadership and interpersonal communication contribute to an increase in teacher performance of 20.5%.
