Benefiting from the rapid development of global economy, a growing number of post-industry products spring up. In comparison to the population in the suburb, the urban population presents a significantly increasing tendency. Undoubtedly, the efficient lifestyle, the convenient way of traveling and the industrial products have caused irresistible threat and damage to the nature. The soil desertification, saline-alkali land, forest degradation and else environmental issues occur as an obvious warning from the nature to us. Therefore, it is an imminent research subject at the moment to seek for symbiotic and harmonious relationship between the human and the nature. The urban landscape is a type of highly artificial design. In it, the urban corridor develops to steer the development of the overall urban landscape pattern. In the process of urban corridor design, the landscape ecological theory is essential in practical application. Spirited by ecological design, the natural ecology landscape is added on the basis of artificial restoration. This paper profoundly studied the sustainable development of the urban landscape setup, thus providing healthier and livelier design on the green ecological corridor for the urban dwellers.

With the advancement of China’s modernization process, the Chinese government and citizens are paying more and more attention to the development and progress of landscape design in the new era. Based on the actual construction process of garden landscape design will also cause a series of ecological environmental problems, so it is particularly important to strengthen the landscape ecological design in landscape gardens. For this reason, the paper made a simple analysis of the importance of landscape ecological design, design principles and measures to realize landscape ecological design, hoping to provide enlightenment and help to the development of landscape ecological design in Chinese landscape architecture.

The landscape industry has become one of the industries with higher resource and energy consumption, and the implementation of urban low-carbon landscape construction is of great significance to improve the ecological environment. In this study, the method of low-carbon landscape construction was studied from two aspects including the carbon source control and carbon sink, as well as both direct and indirect effect. The results showed that the low-carbon landscape construction can be controlled from five aspects including landscape planning, landscape design, low-carbon landscape technology, low-carbon landscape behavior and low-carbon policy. Through a series of low-carbon measures, carbon emissions can be controlled at a reasonable level during the urban landscape construction, which also promotes the sustainable development of urban ecological environment.

The purpose of this study is to extract the indices of Aesthetic preferences for visual quality of urban landscape in high-rise buildings which contribute designers to make better decisions for designing urban landscape. As the research focuses on the high-rise buildings, this study goal address the question as follows: ‘What are aesthetic preferences in high-rise buildings? How can these preferences be developed and categorized?’ To achieve this objective, the Derak district of Shiraz city was selected as a case study area using Photo grid method and then all high-rise buildings in this area were identified and analyzed. Aesthetic preferences data were evaluated by Q-SORT method with the psychophysical approach. Eventually, aesthetic factors have been presented in two main categories: 'primary and distinctive'. Findings lead to the development of APPD model which suggests that when the landscape design of a building moves toward distinctive factors, the degree of its aesthetic preferences increases.

With the rapid economic development of our country in the 21th Century, the plant landscape design of city has changed. The scale of plant landscape design in city is improved into more large level gradually in its developing process. In this paper, we explore the green plant landscape ecological design methods and have the analysis of plant landscape situation and existing problems. Combines the city region characteristic property and culture, the arbor is backbone's biological community, abides by law of nature shown by this locality forest plants vegetation zone middle. From a macroscopic planning angle, we make clear and definite the notion of city plant landscape in the level of theoretical research, separate the plant landscape in city from in countryside or in the natural protection area, and reveal the characteristic of plant landscape in city which is a special ecological environment.

The basic design course, a 1st semester curriculum course at the Department of Landscape Architecture, forms the basis of design education as a part of landscape architecture education.  The landscape design course, provided as part of the 2nd semester curriculum, is a continuation of the basic design course and allows basic design concepts to be transferred to landscape design. Similarly, courses for other semesters are also developed based on the knowledge and acquisitions attained through the basic design course. This article is based on the educational experiences that have been obtained in the basic design course administered at the Department of Landscape Architecture in the Faculty of Agriculture, Ankara University, between 2005 and 2010.  The content and objectives of the basic design course, and the educational methods and the process used in the course are described; the challenges and problems faced with respect to the theory and practice of the course are presented.  Additionally, instructions for education related to basic design are discussed, based on experience.

Urbanization is a necessary trend of human development. Urban landscape design, as an important means for improving people's living environment, plays a significant role in social economy, ethics and cultural heritage. Rural landscape can not only provide wider and more flexible space configuration, but also offer diverse perspectives for regional cultural heritage. The study of ecological green landscape in urbanization is beneficial to people's landscape aesthetic, the improvement of the sustainable development of landscape design in urban beautification as well as creation of harmonious and favorable modern city environment. Through discussing the artistic aesthetic of rural landscape from the perspectives of ecology, ethics and culture, this paper manages to cultivate the values and functions of rural landscape's urbanization and to provide feasible transformation plans for the environment during the process of urbanization. Creating rural environment in cities can meet people's demand of being closer to the nature and at the same time can strike out the geographical features, cultural heritage and moral ethics environment as well as bring the returning of humanity, establishment of new social order and the creation of harmonious ecological environment and ideal homes.

In the overall urban environment the urban waterfront landscape area plays a dual function of landscape and culture, and is an important incubator for the natural ecology of the city. Therefore, the shaping of the locality of the urban waterfront space is not only to create a beautiful city card, but also to improve the ecology of the city and the inevitable requirements of waterfront landscape construction. This paper first analyses the basic theory of urban waterfront landscape, and then conducts an in-depth study on the principles of urban waterfront landscape design under the ecological design concept. Solutions are proposed for the current problems of urban waterfront landscape design, and feasible landscape design methods are proposed in conjunction with the concept of ecological urbanism. The urban landscape is seen as a resource, guided by the theories of ecology and landscape ecology, and the principles of the ecological design concept, with a view to establishing a harmonious and symbiotic relationship between the environment, the landscape and people, and meeting people's needs and spiritual aspirations.
