The main lithological characteristics of riverbed facies of alluvium of the sixth terrace above the floodplain of the Dnister-Stryvihor Rivers (Loyeva level) near Sambir were analysed. The granulometric and petrographic composition of the gravelly-pebble material, its roundness, form and the orientation of grains were characterised. Lithological analyses helped to determine that investigated layer of alluvium are poorly sorted. The three main components of alluvial strata (pebbles, gravel and sand-loamy filler) are present in approximately comparable proportions. Boulders are least common in the composition the alluvium. Coarse material is preferably well and medium rounded. Poorly and very well rounded fragments happen considerably rarely. The preferred direction of transport of fragment materials was Northwest–Southeast. Its direction is approximate to the current of modern Stryvihor. The fragments of the Carpathian rocks (sandstones, siltstones and silicates) dominate in a petrographic composition of coarse-grained alluvial deposits. That means that the Carpathians were the main source of supply of clastic material during the formation of investigated strata of alluvium. The rocks of local origin, which is involved from the bed of alluvium during the cutting of paleoStryvihor in the thickness of pre-Quaternary rocks of the Carpathian Foredeep, were mixed with the fragments of the Carpathian rocks in small amounts. The results of lithological studies show that paleo-Stryvihor accumulated the alluvial strata of Dubrivka section after that time when it had cut into the socle of Torhanovychi terrace up to 8–10 m before the deposition of alluvium. In other words, the preserved fragment of Loyeva level between the villages Torhanovychi and Dubrivka that is on the Dnister-Stryvihor interfluves consists of two terraces of different ages. One of them is a hypsometric higher and older Torhanovychi terrace, which was formed by paleo-Dnister River, and the other one is a hypsometric lower and respectively younger Dubrivka terrace, which was formed by paleo-Stryvihor River. The main lithological characteristics of the channel facies of the Susidovychi terrace, which correspond to the high (situated over the canyon) groups of Dnister terraces, were given. The investigations in the gravel pit at Kulakivtsi proved that the alluvium of the terrace has been formed in two stages. During the first stage, the lower 1.5 thick bed of the alluvium was deposited. The upper one, nearly 4 m thick alluvium bed was formed in the next, second one depositional stage. The stages of the alluvium formation were recorded in the changes of the granulometric and petrographical composition of the alluvium, and of the roundness of the coarse-grained clasts. The transition between these two alluvial beds is outlined by the voluminous intercalations of the sand lenses, and also by a change in the colour of the alluvial deposits. Granulometric composition of the alluvium of the channel facies, in general, changes little in the section. Only in the transition zone from the lower to the upper part of the alluvial deposits, there is a sharp, abrupt increase in the content of gravels and a sharp reduction in the content of boulders. Generally, in the composition of the alluvium two dominant and two subordinate components are clearly identified. The pebble grains and the sandy-clay matrix are the dominant components, whereas the gravel grains and the boulders are less common. Petrographic composition of the coarse-grained fraction of the terrace alluvium proved to be the richest of all the so far investigated sections of the high (situated over the canyon) terraces of the Dnister River (at Kunysivtsi, Ivane-Puste, Repuzhyntsi, and Lysychnyky). The pebbles 40–100 mm in diameter show particularly diverse petrographic composition which includes fragments of nine types of rocks: the four of the Carpathian provenance (sandstone, aleurite, cherts, and quartzite), and the five of the Podillian provenance (red-coloured Devonian sandstone, Albian cherts and sandstone, and lithothamnian and cryptocrystalline chemogenic limestone). More precisely, the richest is the lower part of the alluvial deposits where the fragments of all the nine rock types occur. The upper part of the alluvium is markedly poorer because only the five rock types occur there. Diversity of the petrographic composition of the alluvium decreased by reducing the local Podillian types of rocks, which are represented only by the red-coloured Devonian sandstones. The composition of the Carpathian types of rocks remained unchanged. The detected changes in the granulometric and petrographic composition of the alluvium of the investigated terrace permitted to show that the principal providers of the local (Podillian) debris of rocks was played by the Podillian tributaries of the Dnister River. The Dnister alone transported mainly the Carpathian material and only the small volume of Podillian rocks represented by the debris of the red-coloured Devonian sandstones. It was also found that the accumulation of the alluvial deposits of the Susidovychi terrace in the Kulakivtsi section took place in the conditions of restructuring of the Dnister palaeodrainage system. In the initial stages of this terrace formation, the palaeo-Dnister was directed from the village Dobryvliany further north than today, and it entered into the present-day Tupa River valley at environs of the village Bedrykivtsi. In the vicinity of the village Bedrykivtsi, the palaeo-Dnister was turning sharply eastward and proceeded along the present-day river valleys of Tupa and Seret. In the later stages of the Susidovychi terrace formation, the palaeo-Dnister left the portion of its valley stretching between the villages Bedrykivtsi and Schytivtsi, and it shifted several hundred meters to the south and has stopped practically within its current canyon valley. The desolate portion of its palaeo-valley located between the villages Bedrykivtsy and Kasperivtsi has been inherited by the Tupa River and the lower portion of this palaeo-valley located between the villages Kasperivtsi and Schytivtsi – by the Seret River. The main lithological characteristics of the alluvial sands, gravels and pebbly deposits in the particular layers of the six terrace of the Dnister River (the Loyeva level) near Sambir, Lviv oblast, west Ukraine, are given. The textural features of these beds, the granulometrical and petrographical composition of the alluvium, roundness of the gravelly and pebbly material, the orientation of pebbles (imbrication), and the other features are characterized. On the base of the obtained results of the lithological investigation the conditions of sedimentation of the alluvial sands, gravels and pebbly deposits of the six terrace of the Dnister River (the Loyeva layer) at the environs of Sambir are interpreted. The main lithological characteristics of the alluvium of the sandy-gravelly bed of the sixth terrace of the Dniester river (Loyeva level) at environs of Sambir was analysed, in particular textural elements, granulometric and petrographic composition of the gravelly material (enclosing coarse sands, granules, pebbles, cobbles and boulders), its roundness, and the orientation of grains. The conditions of sedimentation of the studied alluvial sandy-gravelly bed of the sixth terrace of the Dniester river (Loyeva level) were reconstructed. Based on research studies was fixed time of relict form formation in environs of Manevychi – Late Pleistocene (from 17,0 + 2,6 to >12,0 thousand years ago). The deposits lithological features of form and its base was analyzed, particularly gives detail characterization of granulometric deposit composition. Predominant deposits in relict form forming are medium-grained (Mz = 1,04–1,38Ф) mediumgrade (σ1 = 0,67–0,83) sands. In sections on different depth be found lenses and layers of coarse-grained sand with small capacity 1,0–1,5 cm. in medium-grade sand deposits predominating fractions 0,50–0,30 mm. They total content is about 43,22 to 57,40%, in coarse-grained lenses and layers predominated are fractions within 0,8–0,5 mm and forming 39,38–50,64 %. The pore spaces in sandstones are the result of the original depositional fabric and the degree of post-depositional alteration that the rock has experienced. The largest pore volumes are present in coarse-grained, well-sorted materials with high sphericity. The chief mechanisms which alter the shape and size of the pores are precipitation of cementing agents and the dissolution of soluble components. Each process may operate alone or in combination with the other, or there may be several generations of cementation and solution.The scanning electron microscope has ‘been used in this study to reveal the morphology of the pore spaces in a variety of moderate porosity, orthoquartzites.

During a routine examination of the microstructure of rapidly solidified IN-100 powder, produced by a newly-developed centrifugal atomization process1, essentially two distinct types of microstructure were identified. When a high melt superheat is maintained during atomization, the powder particles are predominantly coarse-grained, equiaxed or columnar, with distinctly dendritic microstructures, Figs, la and 4a. On the other hand, when the melt superheat is reduced by increasing the heat flow to the disc of the rotary atomizer, the powder particles are predominantly microcrystalline in character, with typically one dendrite per grain, Figs, lb and 4b. In what follows, evidence is presented that strongly supports the view that the unusual microcrystalline structure has its origin in dendrite erosion occurring in a 'mushy zone' of dynamic solidification on the disc of the rotary atomizer.The critical observations were made on atomized material that had undergone 'splat-quenching' on previously solidified, chilled substrate particles.

Background: Pigmented tumour of the skin is one of the common tumour in human including the benign pigmented tumours (more common) called Nevi tumours and the malignant one called melanoma which was less frequent but the most poor in prognosis. In addition, the others not belonging to these group had the same clinical appearance, so the application of histopathology and immunohistochemistry for the definitive diagnosis was indespensible. Objectives: 1. To describe the macroscopic features of the pigmented tumoral-like lesions; 2. To classify the histopathologic types of the pigmented cell tumours and the other pigmented tumours of the skin. Materials and Method: Cross-sectional research on 55 patients diagnosed as pigmented tumoral lesions by clinician, then all definitively diagnosed by histopathology combining the immunohistochemistry in difficult cases. Results: There was no difference in gender, the disease was discovered most common in adult, especially with the age over 51 years old (58.1%). the most region located was in the face accounting for 60%, following the trunk and limbs (14.6%, 12.8% respectively). All 3 malignant melanomas happened in foot. The most common color of the lesions was black (65.4%), the other ones were rose, grey and blue. Histopathology and immunohisthochemistry showed that the true pigmented cell tumours were 52.6% encompassing benign ones (Nevi tumour) (41.8%), melanoma (5.4%) and lentigo (5.4%). 47.4% was not the true pigmented cell tumour including pigmented basocellular carcinoma (36.4%) and the others less common as histiofibromas, acanthoma and papilloma. Conclusion: the pigmented tumoral-like lesions of the skin could be the true pigmented cell tumours and the others, so the application of the histopathology and the immunohistochemistry after the clinical discovery helps to determine and classify the disease definitely and for the best orientation of treatment as well. The sweet drink amazake is a fermented food made from Aspergillus oryzae and related koji molds in Japan. There are two types of drinks called amazake, one made from koji (koji amazake) and the other made from sake lees, a by-product of sake (sakekasu amazake). The sweetness of koji amazake is from glucose, derived from starch broken down by A. oryzae amylase. The other, sakekasu amazake, depends on added sugar. The main components are glucose and sucrose, but they also contain more than 300 other ingredients. Koji amazake contains oligosaccharides and ergothioneine, and sakekasu amazake has a resistant protein and α-ethyl glucoside, which are characteristic ingredients of each amazake. However, there are also common ingredients such as glycosylceramide. Functionality is known to include anti-fatigue, bowel movement, skin barrier, and other effects on human health. In particular, the bowel movement-improving effects have been well studied for both amazakes. These functions result from ingesting approximately 100 mL per day, but human clinical trials have clarified that this amount has no effect on blood glucose levels and weight gain. In the future, the identification of substances associated with each function is required.

The efficacy of seed treatment and foliar spray with fungicides in controlling black point incidence of wheat seeds was evaluated in the field. Two seed treating fungicides, namely Vitavax-200 and Homai-80WP were used @ 0.25% of dry seed weight and foliar spray with Tilt-250EC (0.05%) was applied in six different schedules. Untreated and unsprayed controls were also maintained. Seed treatment with either Vitavax-200 or Homai-80WP significantly increased plant population and grain yield, but none of them was found effective in reducing black point incidence. On the other hand, foliar sprays with Tilt-250EC under all the spray schedules except spraying at 70 and 90 DAS significantly minimized the disease severity over unsprayed control. Among the different spray schedules, spraying at 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and 90 DAS appeared to be most effective, which was similar to spraying at 30, 45, 60, 75, and 90 DAS in reducing black point incidence and increasing grain yield. Economic analysis on yield advantage showed that the highest additional gross margin of Tk. 6120/ha with BCR 2.57 was obtained from five sprays applied at 30, 45, 60, 75, and 90 DAS. The Candida antarctica lipase B-catalyzed reactions of five β-amino esters with neat butyl butanoate and with 2,2,2-trifluoroethyl butanoate in diisopropyl ether were studied, as were the reactions of the same β-amino esters and their N-butanamides with neat butanol. The possibility for sequential resolution, where the amino and ester functions of the substrate both react with an achiral butanoate, became less likely with increasing size of the substrate from ethyl 3-aminobutanoate (1a) to pentanoate (1b) or larger. On the other hand, the alcoholyses of N-acylated β-amino esters successfully proceeded in butanol with E > 100. Gram-scale resolution of the N-butanoylated 1a was performed to demonstrate the usefulness of the method. Key words: lipase, interesterification, acylation, alcoholysis, resolution, β-amino esters.
