This study aimed to investigate intention to stay among officers in the City Traffic Police Lahore in relation to their perceptions of organisational justice and career growth. Using a quantitative research approach, a sample of 224 traffic wardens working in 30 sectors in the city of Lahore were selected through stratified random sampling. Data were gathered using a questionnaire containing Likert-type scales relating to all variable of interest. Apart from procedural justice and professional ability development, all dimensions of organisational justice and perceived career growth were found to significantly influence traffic officers’ intention to stay. Moreover, promotional speed emerged as the strongest predictor of the intent to stay. The findings of this study may guide police authorities in dealing with issues on turnover by initiating policies which can strengthen employee retention intention. Additionally, it provides empirical insights on the contributing factors of high turnover in the City Traffic Police Lahore. This paper enhances understanding of turnover issues by investigating retention intention of traffic police officers in an Eastern culture. Specifically, this research contributes to literature by examining the predictive role of organisational inducement factors (organisational justice and career growth) on attitude (intention to stay). Additionally, both the exogenous constructs of interest are used at the dimensional levels.

The article examines migration moods of the residents of the Tyumen region, in particular, such aspects as: the relevance of migration in the public consciousness; intercultural features of moods of the general population towards migrants; migration strategies of the residents. The work is based on the results of a survey carried out in the fall of 2020 among the general population and students. It is shown that the problem of migrants for the inhabitants of the region is not actualized. The respondents are poorly informed about the structure and nature of migration flows and the impact of newcomers on the socio-economic situation in the region. At the same time, there is an understanding of urgency of the problem of depopulation of the rural areas in public opinion. In relation to internal migration, the most relevant topic is movement between the neighboring regions, including due to the continuing relevance of rotational work method, which is characteristic for the northern regions. It has been demonstrated that a significant part of population thinks or does not exclude the possibility of moving from the region. At the same time, moving to a greater extent remains only in plans or is in the zone of delayed decision-making. The main motives for possible mobility are associated with the choice of a more convenient permanent residence, the possibility of higher earnings and career growth.

This study examines the impact of both transformational leadership (TFL) and transactional leadership (TCL) on employee intention to stay (ITS) in deluxe hotels. It also examines the mediating role of organisational commitment (OC) in the relationship between leadership styles, i.e. TFL and TCL, and ITS. A pre-tested questionnaire survey was self-administered to front-line employees in deluxe hotels in Egypt, where these leadership styles were prominent. The key findings showed that TFL has more positive impact on OC and ITS than TCL. Affective commitment (AC) and normative commitment (NC) were found to partially mediate the relationship between both leadership styles and ITS. Employees exhibit higher ITS when they perceive proper leadership practices, especially TFL. Hotel executives should place more emphasis and investments on TFL to effectively achieve OC and positively influence ITS which is critical for the hotel industry that often suffers from high employee turnover.
