The author conducts a pilot study to investigate whether the benefits of global marketing and the purported liberal policies of the Government of India have percolated to the Indian middle-class since the year 2014, when the present government came to power. The author collects data through online surveys from Indian citizens, and then conducts a qualitative analysis of the same to test six propositions based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Model and the Theory of Reasoned Action. The author finds moderate to strong support for five of his propositions and sets the stage for a more robust research study that the author is planning to conduct on this highly relevant topic. Keywords: globalization, consumer experience, marketing strategy, political marketing

This paper is a study of the question of how can human beings carry out a call that 'becoming like God'? To answer this question, a construction model of ideas referred to as 'self-actualizing' is mentioned in this paper. It will be presented in two main theses. First, Aquinas's epistemology-metaphysical concept can be a solution to the unclear in understanding the idea of 'becoming like God'. Second, with the participation of Heidegger's thinking on the concept of dasein, mankind can find concrete steps in trying to become like God, namely by actualizing all the potential they have. This paper uses a literature study by examining and analyzing the literature related to the relevant topic. The conclusion in this paper is that the potential that humans have is always in a continuous process to pursue their actuality. This is similar to God Himself who is a pure act.

Impulse buying continues to be a relevant topic for retail management, yet few studies have examined the role of online impulse buying. This study analyzes the effect of impulse buying tendency on online impulse buying behavior through the mediation of normative evaluation and the urge to buy impulsively on the Internet. As a secondary objective, we aim to identify whether gender and generation influence the model. The research was conducted in Mexico with millennials and centennials who had previously bought products on the Internet. We used quantitative, explanatory, non-experimental, cross-sectional research. We applied an electronic survey, and, for the statistical technique, we used PLS. According to the results, impulse buying tendency both directly and indirectly influences online impulse buying behavior through the mediating roles of normative evaluation and the urge to buy impulsively on the Internet. Moreover, we found that gender does not have an effect on the model. Regarding generation, two significant differences were found between centennials and millennials.

This work analyses energy expenditure in outdoor sport environments with augmented reality technology. Battery efficiency is becoming a relevant topic in the context of the varied outdoor end-user services, among other realms. It is a key to the acceptance and use of mobile technology. In outdoor environments, battery efficiency can be low, especially when information based on close-to-real-time requires internet access and the use of sensors. Such requirement is today evident with the growth of internet dependence and multiple sensors, which perform both actively and passively via fitness gadgets, smartphones, pervasive systems, and other personal mobile gadgets. In this context, it is relevant to understand how energy is spent with the accelerometer, global position system, and internet access (Wi-Fi or mobile data) providing smart data for outdoor sports activities. Through a prototype, an analysis is made based on the current battery autonomy, and an algorithm model for better battery efficiency is proposed.

The aim of the new Particle Therapy MasterClass (PTMC) was to develop an educational and training environment in which anyone can learn about fundamental and applied research in particle therapy. The PTMC was recently integrated into the International MasterClass 2021 online programme that attracted 1500 students from 37 institutes in 20 countries, worldwide. The PTMC focuses on the topic of cancer treatment, a particularly sensitive and socially relevant topic. The main idea is to (a) provide a basic understanding of cancer radiation therapy, (b) demonstrate that fundamental properties of particle interactions with matter, which are used for detection in physics experiments, are also the basis for treating cancer tumours; and (c) show that the same accelerator technologies are used in both, research laboratories and therapy centres. For the hands-on session, the open-source professional treatment planning software matRad is used, developed for research and training by the German Cancer Research Center – DKFZ. Ultimately, students are shown “what physics has to do with medicine” and what are the various possibilities that physics and STEM studies may open up for job opportunities in fields that are lacking expert personnel.

Background: Pediatric Urology deals with genitourinary diseases. Present study aimed to collect the top-cited article in Pediatric Urology in order to define the most debated and studied topics. Methods: The journals reported in “Urology & Nephrology” category of the 2019 edition of Journal Citation Reports, together with the most relevant journals of “Transplantation,” “Pediatrics,” and “Surgery” categories, were browsed. The articles of interest in Pediatric Urology with more than 50 citations were collected. A bibliometric analysis was performed to collect the top 100 cited articles. Results: The top-cited articles were published in 27 journals (23%), with a median impact factor of 2.676 (IQR 1.981–5.642). Seventeen of them (63%) belonged to “Urology and Nephrology” category. The median number of citations was 82 (IQR 64–113). The most productive journal, with 23 articles, was “The Journal of Urology.” Forty-eight top-cited articles were Guidelines or Reviews of the literature and only four papers were randomized controlled trials. The most relevant topic was “congenital anomalies” with 18 articles. As to minimally invasive surgery, eight studies were identified. All of them dealt with robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery. Two articles reported the current evidence about transitional care. Conclusions: The top-cited articles were dispersed among journals of different areas. Current scientific literature deal with congenital anomalies, more specifically with obstructive uropathies and hypospadias. In the last decade, one of the most relevant innovation in pediatric urology was the introduction of robotic surgery. Transitional care has become a timely topic.

Essa Dama Bate Bué and the Angolan Literary Canon. A relevant topic for the history of literature, the literary canon has been widely questioned and the Angolan literary canon is no exception, being constantly susceptible to changes. The current paper aims at challenging the Angolan literary canon and defending the necessity of including the novel Essa Dama Bate Bué by Yara Monteiro. Published in 2018, it represents an example of silenced literature about women and guerrilla movements during the war for national independence, the subsequent civil war, and the post-conflict period. The book problematizes the presence of women in national wars, the countless roles they played, but also their integration in the post-colonial society, giving insights into a topic largely ignored in Angolan literature. Keywords: Angola, Angolan women, canon, Yara Monteiro, guerrilla movements

Problem. Today the most relevant topic is the creation of websites. This is because almost any field of activity, whether related to goods or services, requires information-based promotion. The main purpose of the site is to tell the users about the company's data. There are different ways of informing on the Internet, but usually they all come down to one thing – a website. A website is a collection of electronic documents combined into a single address. With the growth of technology, websites are becoming not just a collection of documents, but also a presentation of a number of technologies that are used both to attract attention and to add various features, not only exciting but also convenient, that allow the user to stay on the site. That is why the article discusses the features and methods of developing a web service based on angular technology for ordering a tow truck service centering on the capabilities of modern browsers. Goal. This article examines the process of creating a web service based on Angular technology to order a tow truck service centering on the capabilities of modern browsers. The problems of work with services are considered and the necessity of creation of this service is substantiated. Methodology. An analysis of technologies and systems for the creation of this software, taking into account the support of work on mobile devices is made. The scheme of functioning of the service is developed and its structure is considered. The structure of the service software is developed and substantiated, separate schemes for each of the submitted pages are considered. Practical meaning. This service is designed to provide tow truck services, thanks to which every driver can easily order a tow truck at any time, which will reduce the time to find a tow truck. The necessary software was installed on the computer during the development of the information service. In the process of long-term software development, more and more dangerous factors appear on the PC, which affect the health and damage of the most vulnerable systems of the body. In an emergency, the computer must be turned off immediately.

The paper presents a classifier for fake news spreaders detection in social media. Detecting fake news spreaders is an important task because this kind of disinformation aims to change the reader’s opinion about a relevant topic for the society. This work presents a classifier that can compete with the ones that are found in the state-of-the-art. In addition, this work applies Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XIA) methods in order to understand the corpora used and how the model estimates results. The work focuses on the corpora developed by members of the PAN@CLEF 2020 competition. The score obtained surpasses the state-of-the-art with a mean accuracy score of 0.7825. The solution uses XIA methods for the feature selection process, since they present more stability to the selection than most of traditional feature selection methods. Also, this work concludes that the detection done by the solution approach is generally based on the topic of the text.

Explanation and justification of legal decisions has become a highly relevant topic in light of the explosion of interest in the use of machine learning (ML) approaches to predict legal decisions. Current suggestions are to use the established factor based explanations developed in AI and Law as the basis for explaining such programs. We, however, identify factor ascription as an important aspect of explanation of case outcomes not currently covered, and argue that explanations must also include this aspect. Finally, we outline our proposal for a hybrid system approach that combines ML and Abstract Dialectical Framework (ADF) layers to engender an explainable process.
