The rapid growth of traffic in most countries exceeds the current transport system's threshold level and requires a more efficient and practical approach to be addressed. As the renovation of urban transportation infrastructure is not feasible, alternatives to the problem are urgently needed. This paper addresses the Performance Analysis of Road Intersections under Heterogeneous Traffic Conditions. At whatever point two or significantly more streets converge or cross, users of these streets should change their mobility to prevent a collision. This adjustment can take the form of a speed drop or a change in their motion pattern. In several regions of the world, traffic is a mixture of large distribution of various vehicle kinds. Hence users of a signalized crossroads in vehicles are a heterogeneous mix. The current study has involves review based on 5 selected papers analysing findings and drawing conclusion along with posing future questions.

The traffic flow conditions in developing countries are predominantly heterogeneous. The early developed traffic flow models have been derived from fluid flow to capture the behavior of the traffic. The very first two-equation model derived from fluid flow is known as the Payne-Whitham or PW Model. Along with the traffic flow, this model also captures the traffic acceleration. However, the PW model adopts a constant driver behavior which cannot be ignored, especially in the situation of heterogeneous traffic.This research focuses on testing the PW model and its suitability for heterogeneous traffic conditions by observing the model response to a bottleneck on a circular road. The PW model is mathematically approximated using the Roe Decomposition and then the performance of the model is observed using simulations.

Running a marathon has become the motivation to achieve success and economic independence for athletes, mainly from African countries. This feeling is more evident among the black community, considering that they have been presenting better results than white athletes. The objective of the study was to analyse the ranking of marathon runners around the world, in the last 15 years considering: 1) nationality; 2) best average time of the 100 best classified runners from the Top 100, Top 50, Top 25, Top 10 and Top 3. An analysis was made to the ranking available on the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) website, for the 100 best world results for both sexes, focusing on records from 2000 to 2014. The analysis was subdivided into ranking groups (Top 3, 10, 25, 50 and 100), resulting in 3000 records. African runners, Kenyan and Ethiopian, dominate the male ranking representing 70% of the total of runners in Top 100, keeping this proportion up to Top 3. The same is observed for females, however with a significantly lower percentage (34%), with Japanese, Ethiopian and Kenyan (17%) and an English athlete as the world record. The average time of a marathon has been decreasing in males more than in female competitions, both in Top 3 and Top 10, however still presenting a large gap from world records.

AbstractDila Pangeto Dance is a work created by Indra Jaya in 2016. This research will emphasize the choreography which includes Indra Jaya as the creator, the idea of creation about the world and education, the process of creation that there is exploration, improvisation, and composition, as well as the formation of dance motion Dila Pangeto. To discuss the above problems using the foundation of Theory: Choreography using Seymour theory, the form of servings using the theory of Suzanne K. Langer, and formation of motion using the theory of Doris Humphrey. This dance research uses a descriptive method of analytic with qualitative data types through the data collection stage i.e. observation, interviews, library studies, as well as data analysis stage. The results of the study were the choreography Dila Pangeto which discusses the creators, ideas of creation, and the process of creation and the form of dance in which there is a serving structure divided into five parts, and the dance elements of Dila Pangeto include two female dancers, a parallel floor pattern, and zigzag, the stage space that has been provided by the organizing committee, dressing and clothing using West Sumbawa costumes, Dila and shawl properties, West Sumbawa Music and the addition of violin instruments, as well as Motion derived from the motion of West Sumbawa Dance and Gentao or Pencak Silat. The formation of Dila Pangeto Dance uses the motion of West Sumbawa Dance and Gentao. The formation of the dance movements of Dila Pangeto in the movement patterns such as Ngengke ‘, Palangan Telas, Nyempung, Bagerik, plump besai ‘, Bolang sweep ‘, Juluk Betak, Pio Ngibar, remove Pengkenang, Betak Jala, Sempanang, Telnyak ninting, Pusuk nyer, puntal yarn, Nesek , ninting Seleng, ente Dila, swivel dila, Jonyong, Basalunte ‘, Tanak, Ngijik, and Bajempit contains more designs using a unidirectional line design, the dynamics of gentle motion, functional rhythm or rhythm, mechanisms, and emotional The motivation of the life of West Sumbawa. The rapid growth in population and related demand for travel during the past few decades has had a catalytic effect on traffic congestion, air quality, and safety in many urban areas. Transportation managers and planners have planned for new facilities to cater to the needs of users of alternative modes of transportation (e.g., public transportation, walking, and bicycling) over the next decade. However, there are no widely accepted methods, nor there is enough evidence to justify whether such plans are instrumental in improving mobility of the transportation system. Therefore, this project researches the operational performance of urban roads with heterogeneous traffic conditions to improve the mobility and reliability of people and goods. A 4-mile stretch of the Blue Line light rail transit (LRT) extension, which connects Old Concord Rd and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s main campus on N Tryon St in Charlotte, North Carolina, was considered for travel time reliability analysis. The influence of crosswalks, sidewalks, trails, greenways, on-street bicycle lanes, bus/LRT routes and stops/stations, and street network characteristics on travel time reliability were comprehensively considered from a multimodal perspective. Likewise, a 2.5-mile-long section of the Blue Line LRT extension, which connects University City Blvd and Mallard Creek Church Rd on N Tryon St in Charlotte, North Carolina, was considered for simulation-based operational analysis. Vissim traffic simulation software was used to compute and compare delay, queue length, and maximum queue length at nine intersections to evaluate the influence of vehicles, LRT, pedestrians, and bicyclists, individually and/or combined. The statistical significance of variations in travel time reliability were particularly less in the case of links on N Tryon St with the Blue Line LRT extension. However, a decrease in travel time reliability on some links was observed on the parallel route (I-85) and cross-streets. While a decrease in vehicle delay on northbound and southbound approaches of N Tryon St was observed in most cases after the LRT is in operation, the cross-streets of N Tryon St incurred a relatively higher increase in delay after the LRT is in operation. The current pedestrian and bicycling activity levels seemed insignificant to have an influence on vehicle delay at intersections. The methodological approaches from this research can be used to assess the performance of a transportation facility and identify remedial solutions from a multimodal perspective.
