AbstractInnovative way in teaching L2 learners can be considered as a challenging job while it can be facilitated by using "Magic Box" as a tool box consists of many stationeries, types of papers and reuse things to innovate new interactive media. The main purpose of this study was conducted to identify the role of "Magic Box" in innovating interactive media in teaching vocabulary. The samples participants of the study were 10 students of English Department of STKIP Al Hikmah Surabaya. They were chosen because of they have to practice their teaching skills start from first semester, so they should develop their vocabulary. The lecture will guide and show to the students how to innovate interactive media using “Magic Box”. This study was designed as a qualitative study with pre-test and post-test instruments allow lectures to empirically evaluate the effectiveness of "Magic Box" in innovating interactive media in learning vocabulary by the students through formative assessment. After analyzing the pre-test and post-test it was found that using "Magic Box" has the important and determine role in teaching vocabularies to the students, as it was not possible as well as learning with just repetition and memorizing methods. Furthermore, "Magic Box" has its potential as a tool box for innovate interactive media, be able to motivate students especially the passive one in the whole teaching learning process, and also trigger the students to be more creative in innovating interactive media to improve their vocabulary.

They were chosen because of they have low grammar score, so they should develop their grammar understanding. The lecture will guide and show to the students how to innovate interactive media using “Magic Box”. This study was designed as a quantitative study with pre-test and post-test instruments allow lectures to empirically evaluate the role of "Magic Box" in innovating interactive media in learning grammar by the students through formative assessment. After analyzing the pre-test and post-test it was found that using "Magic Box" has the important role in teaching grammar to the students. Furthermore, "Magic Box" has its potential as a tool box for innovate interactive media, be able to motivate students and trigger the students to be more creative in innovating interactive media to improve their grammar understanding.

Abstract Objective: Analyze the perception of graduates, undergraduates and professors about the teaching-learning process of the Supervised Curricular Internship (SCI) of Nursing Undergraduate Courses and in light of the development of management competencies. Method: Qualitative study based on the Mayan content analysis from a questionnaire of objective and discursive questions that evaluated the perception of 87 undergraduates, 280 graduates, and 48 professors from two universities in the state of São Paulo. Results: Four thematic categories emerged from this process and the development of management skills, highlighting the fundamental role of the supervising nurse in SCI and the need for greater presence of professors. Regarding management skills, the subjects emphasized leadership, resource management and performance of bureaucratic functions as essential skills. Final considerations: SCI is an environment that favors learning the profession and developing managerial skills; however, better coordination is required between educational institutions and SCI practice sites.

Hate is a negative emotional phenomenon whose characteristics are anger, contempt or disgust. This emotional attitude sometimes leads towards revenge in the form of criminal act. This situation may challenge the school administrators to keep teaching-learning process smooth and effective. Hate speeches on social media is a common exercise among all age group people. Educational institutes are also under attack due to these practices. Students are permanently and continuously connected on social media. They are less prepared and trained to deal with online hate speeches. This qualitative study has focused this issue and derived results from literature. Racism, homophobia, religious biasedness, trans-phobia and sexual harassment are common social media generated problems in educational institutes which are types of online hate speech. It is therefore, suggested at the end of this study that students must be trained and taught about gender violence and discrimination; raise awareness about the importance and positive usage of media and digital based information.

ABSTRACTSTKIP Al Hikmah is an Education University that provides the students with boarding learning system. The boarding itself called “Ma’had Aly” STKIP Al Hikmah. It is a boarding place for university students. All of the students are compulsory to stay at Ma’had Aly. All the activities are scheduled due to build students’ characters. Duration of the schedules are for 24 hours. The characters include discipline, honest, smart, strong, and caring. The main purpose of this study was conducted to identify the role of "Ma’had Aly" in building students’ characters. The samples participants of the study were 25 students of English Department of STKIP Al Hikmah Surabaya. They were chosen because of they have to practice their English and Arabic speaking skills besides building their characters. This study was designed as a quantitative study with scoring pre test and post test instruments allow lectures to empirically evaluate the role of “Ma’had Aly” in building students’ characters. After analyzing the scoring pre test and post test, it was found that Ma’had Aly has the important and determine role in building students’ characters. The result of this study was 80% of students have developed their characters and do good habits after they stay in Ma’had for at least 6 months. Therefore, "Ma’had Aly" has its potential as a place to build and develop students’ characters.

The aim of the study was  to  analyze  and  describe  the  process of  improving students’ listening skill for eleventh grade students of MAN 1 Majene, West Sulawesi Province through  watching English movies. The subject of this research is XI Agama 2 Class that consisted of 16 students. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which the writer works  collaboratively with the English teacher. The results in this study indicate that there  was  improvement of the students’ skill listening. Most of the students gradually gained good scores at the end of the cycle. The data were collected from a questionnaire, observation note of performance, pre-test and post-test. The study was conducted with cycle model through the steps of planning, conducting, observation, and reflection. The results of this study show a significant relationship between students' learning by English movie with delay subtitle related to their listening skills as shown in their improvement of post- test and positive responses of students than  E nglish movie  with not delay. The questionnaire shows that more than 75% students felt easy to understand listening materials from native speakers. Consequently, it was suggested that teaching learning process using English movie with English subtitle is recommended  into  learning  process  to  improve students' listening skills in English language classroom. In conclusion, watching English movie can improve students listening skill.

The Geo-Gebra software as a didactic tool in the teaching-learning process of mathematics and its impact on academic performance in the first semester students of the Faculty of Natural Resources, Agronomic engineering career of ESPOCH. The problem that has been detected in the students of the first semester, a high rate of low performance in the learning of mathematics, in the race because there is a culture of learning on the part of the students, it is determined that we must make profound changes in educational paradigms, the proposal for this process is to use the Geo-Gebra software didactic tool of mathematics, for the research was based on a questionnaire of questions applied with respect to the use of Goe-Gebra software, as a teaching resource in teaching- learning of mathematics, then with the use of this tool a form of satisfaction was applied to students and teachers, to later make the didactic guide using the Geo - Gebra educational software, hence the importance of making striking designs according to the level or semester and with contents attached to the current geometry plans and programs in which  educational. According to the work experience, a didactic guide was designed for the use of educational software specifically for inequations. It is concluded the research carried out that 72% of the students surveyed consider, using the ICTs it would improve the learning of the geometry and its academic performance; Therefore, it is recommended to train the teachers of the area and promote the proposal in the institution for the application in the teaching-learning process.

Contemporary society is actively engaged into technology innovations due to their multi-purposeful usage for personal, professional and educational reasons. Many new terms defining information communication technologies appear but the paper focuses on the interactive media, which may be considered as an integral part of the phenomenon. It is aimed to analyze and discuss the possibilities of integration of interactive media into language learning process to support the efficiency of the study process taking into consideration the needs and achievements of students. The lectures organized with traditional teaching material are getting old-fashioned gradually; therefore, new trends appear in the education process and technologies have to be successfully integrated by the teachers working in higher education institutions. Currently life pace is extremely fast, and rapid changes influence the life of young people who want to be well-educated and prepared for the further professional career. The research was organized to investigate whether the students of higher education institution demonstrate willingness to integrate interactive media into language learning process, i.e. students do not have to be passive users but actively apply and use interactive media in the learning process. Consequently, the teachers have to be familiar with the opportunities provided by the interactive media and acknowledge the necessity of its integration, but still some considerations and uncertainty exist. The methods used for the research are as follows: analysis of the scientific literature sources, content analysis, and questionnaires. Findings of the research are formulated after analysis of the collected data and they revealed the capabilities of the students to use interactive media and perception of the importance and usefulness of such measures.Majority of teachers demonstrate conservative attitude towards innovations and implementation of modern teaching/learning methods, but the situation will be improved putting the efforts in order to seek positive learning outcomes and modernize the study process.
