The construction of specialty characteristics shall start from the overall characteristics of the school, take the specialty group as the perspective, find the characteristic construction direction in the whole industrial chain, and improve the connotation of specialty. To promote the development of the specialty of mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance and management in domestic polytechnics, taking the construction process of this specialty in Guangzhou Railway polytechnic as an example, it was discussed on why and how to carry out the construction of major characteristics with the main line of the equipment maintenance of rail transit stations and train vehicle repair plants. Aspects were discussed including the establishment of curriculum system, the construction of specialty teachers’ team, the construction of teaching software and hardware resources and the monitoring of teaching quality. The results can be used for reference in the construction of similar specialties in China.

Arc flash hazards can result from accidents or equipment deterioration such as dropping tools, accidental contact with electrical equipment, build up of conductive dust, corrosion, condensation, over-voltage stress, or insulation failure. An arc is produced when electric current passes through ionized air after an initial flash over or short circuit, resulting in a flash that could produce significant heat, with temperature in excess of 35,000°F. The extremely high temperature of an electric arc can cause major burns within ten feet and fatal burns within five feet of an arc flash. Recently enacted guidelines and regulations by OSHA and NFPA 70E regarding arc flash hazards have compelled many rail transit agencies to require that an arc flash hazard analysis be performed. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the potential risk of arc faults at every switchgear and electrical panel board to which a worker may be exposed. To comply with OSHA and NFPA, appropriate work practices and personal protective equipment (PPE) must be utilized to reduce the risks associated with arc flashes. Several methods for calculating the arc-flash hazard have been developed. This paper will examine and discuss the following three methods: a) the Ralph H. Lee’s theoretical model, b) the NFPA 70E equations and tables, and c) the IEEE Std 1584 methods. None of the above methods addresses arcing faults in DC switchgear. To date, there is no written standard for DC arc flash hazard analysis. DC arcing faults and calculation methods are discussed. Sample arc flash hazard analysis from a recent rail transit project is included.

Currently, in order to ensure the required fault-proof level of technological processes in agricultural production, the following strategies among the main ones: afterfailure, planned systematic and a mixed electrical equipment maintenance and repair strategy. The pervasion of information technology in this segment was not widespread. Application of information technologies in conjunction with implementation of risk-oriented strategy is one of the promising directions of electrical equipment maintenance optimization, yet requires adaptation to sectoral characteristics of agricultural production. The article describes the problem of determining the optimal conditions for adjusting the frequency of maintenance and repair of electrical equipment on the basis of risk-oriented approach. To solve this problem, the equation of annual costs for maintenance and repair of electrical equipment was drawn up taking into account the parameter of its failure risk. The relationship between the change of relative risk and the service frequency was established; based on it, the ranges of frequency adjustment of maintenance and ongoing repair were determined.

In order to monitor and control the effect of blasting vibration on dam body, spillway overflow surface and mechanical and electrical equipment foundation at the excavation of resistance sliding key chamber, the fixed monitoring point scheme was used to monitor vibration speed of each point. According to the construction progress, a total of 44 times blasting vibration test were carried on, and data are integrity, which can accurately reflect the effect of resistance sliding key chamber excavation blasting on adjacent buildings. In blasting construction process, according to the analysis of monitoring data, the explosive dosage of single stage was adjusted, which effectively control the effect of blasting vibration. The results indicate that, in the process of resistance sliding key chamber blasting construction, particle vibration velocities of adjacent buildings such as dam body, spillway overflow surface, mechanical and electrical equipment foundation and etc. are in the velocity range of security vibration, which meets the requirements of design and specification, and real-time analysis of field monitoring guarantees the smooth completion of site construction.

For the purpose of solving the problems, such as many kinds of C3I equipment signals to be test, complicated technology and technology fast updates, a test system based on flexible technology is proposed. In this system, the core technical cocept of systematize and developmental design is adopt. In this paper, the design ideas, software and hardware design and test diagnosis process are described in detail. The detection system based on flexible test achieves calling testing resources according to the different objects, interfaces conversion and signal conditioning. The system has good characteristics on flexibility, reliability, adaptability and expand [1-, which is of great significance for the equipment maintenance and support.
