The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of training and development as well as career planning in Nepalese service sector organizations. Data for this study were gathered from service organizations such as banks, insurance companies, telecommunications companies, hospitals, and colleges. In total, 502 questionnaires were distributed, and 82.97 percent of the copies that were filled out and returned were used in the study. Descriptive statistics, correlation, and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. Organizational training and development and career planning, according to the study's findings, have a significant impact on employee involvement in their jobs and performance. As a result, Nepalese service sector organizations must make provisions of the budget for additional employee training and development programs. Similarly, it is necessary to provide employees with career development opportunities so that they can stay with the company for an extended period.

Purpose of the study: Unethical behavior has been a source of incremental cost in corporations worldwide, and its consequences are detrimental to organizational health. In today’s turbulent environment, the role of leadership becomes even more vital under uncertainties. This study investigates the impact of ethical climate and behavioral integrity on ethical leadership through political mentoring. Methodology: The data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire distributed to the employees of various service sectors of health, education, banks, insurance companies, telecommunication, hotels, and transportation. The overall useable response rate was 85% (450 in total). The data were analyzed through SPSS version 22 and ADANCO version 2.2. Main Findings: The findings of the study are evidence of a strong association among behavioral integrity, ethical climate, political mentoring, and ethical leadership. We also found the mediating role of political mentoring between behavioral integrity and ethical leadership and between ethical climate and leadership. Applications of the study: This study is significant for the managers of the service sector in developing the ethical climate. It gives an insight to the leaders that they should guide their subordinates about the environment appropriately. It means that the leader’s role matters in building the organizational employees’ character and success. Novelty/Originality of the study: In this study, the role of political mentoring in ethical climate has been recognized, which contributes to business ethics. Furthermore, it bridges the literature gap related to the mediating role of political mentoring in an organizational climate.

This paper deals with the evaluation of the impact of the adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on the financial situation and performance of the company. The Slovak Accounting Act allows accounting and reporting under IFRS for two types of entities - explicitly specified by law (e.g. banks, insurance companies, stock exchange); and those that meet specified size criteria. The analyzed company met the size criteria and IFRS has been applying since 2018. The transition from Slovak accounting procedures to IFRS has an impact on the classification of individual items of assets and liabilities, their structure, and the classification of related costs and revenues. The transition to IFRS thus has an impact on the company's financial position and performance. The paper set out two objectives of the research: 1) the transition to IFRS caused an insignificant change in the company's financial indicators; 2) the transition to IFRS caused a significant change in the company's financial indicators. The results of the analysis show changes in the structure of the company's assets and liabilities, the amount of income and expenses, and the less significant impact of the adoption of IFRS on financial indicators.

Learning Transfer System Inventory (LTSI) is a tool used to measure the impact of various factors on learning outcomes. The objective of the study was to understand the problems faced by Pakistan service sector employees and finally to evaluate the impact of motivation scale, environment scale and trainee ability scale on outcome scale.Questionnaire of Learning Transfer System Inventory adopted from Holton, Bates and Ruona (2000) was used.569 questionnaires were administered to the employees of Peshawar service sector including employees of banks, non-government organizations, education and health sectors, out of which 415 were completed with a response rate of 73%.Correlation analysis shows that value of R is 0.969 that means there is 96.9% correlation in variables that are considered in model. The value of R Square is 0.939. In Service Sector, Supervisor Sanction Variable, Performance Outcome Expectation Variable and Performance Coaching Variable are insignificant and do not bring change in our dependent variable Outcome. Standardized Coefficients show that Personal Capacity for Transfer Variable, Peer Support Variable, Supervisor Support Variable and Transfer Effort Performance Expectation Variable having higher Standardized Coefficients betas, that means those variables bring greater change in dependent variable Outcome.

The study focused on assessing the impact of training and development on employee performance in the Namibia Defence Force (NDF) at Okahandja. Since its inception, the NDF has been providing continuous training and development programs to pursue the organizational mission & vision. Sadly, for the past two (2) years when the organization started facing financial challenges; it suspended most of its training activities both internal and external. This, in turn, has affected employees’ performance who should be continuously trained during peacetime to upgrade their skills, knowledge, and competencies needed to perform their duties professionally. The study employed descriptive research design to draw a sample of 100 employees from a population of 500 employees. Correlation analysis was used to establish relationship between training, development, and employee’s performance. The study found out that there was positive relationship between training and development with employee’s and NDF performance. It also revealed that employee’s performance increased the way the NDF staffs works with other government agencies across the country. Therefore, the NDF should seek to prioritize their training and development (T&D) programmes based on the training budget and avoid random cost cutting.

The objective of the present study is to analyse the impact of human resource development on employee engagement in Nepalese commercial banks by taking three human resource development components of training and development, career development and performance management as independent variables, and employee engagement as a dependent variable. Using the random sampling, 384 employees were selected, and a questionnaire survey was carried out to collect data. Using F-test and t-test, the study found that the training and development, career development and performance management have significant impact on employee engagement in Nepalese commercial banks. The study also revealed that male employees have more emphasis on performance management but female employees have more emphasis on training and development. Likewise, the employees up to the officer level have also more emphasis on performance management but the employees below officer level have more emphasis on training and development.

This paper examines, using various econometric techniques, the impact of intellectual capital (IC) on the performance of Egyptian insurance companies listed between 2006 and 2011. We measure IC using the value added intellectual coefficient (VAIC) approach and its components developed by Pulic (2000), and both a direct and a moderating relationship between VAIC and corporate performance are investigated. Our results show a direct relationship between (IC-VAIC) and the performance of Egyptian insurance companies, particularly with capital employed efficiency (CEE), and to a lesser extent with human capital efficiency. In addition, a positive relationship between IC (capital employed and structural capital) and performance in the prior and current years is found. Evidence also suggests the possibility of a moderating relationship between IC and physical and financial capital, which in turn impacts on corporate performance. Our study also reveals the importance of taking into account any unobservable heterogeneity and endogeneity issues when analysing corporate performance.

In the current business world, humans are considered as the success factor for any business. For this reason, reputed business firms are trying to hire the best human resource that is available in the market so that the firms can maintain its image and goodwill in the future as well. This study is based on the impact of performance appraisal on organizational performance of service sector institutions consisting of hospitals of Nepal. It is found that the performance appraisal systems have positive correlation with organizational performance. Regression coefficients of performance appraisal positively contribute to organizational performance explained by employee commitment, quality work life and work flexibility. It means that if Nepalese service sector invests a significant amount and effort for development of proper performance appraisal system, it can improve organizational performance.

The concept of Training, Motivation, and Performance are the variables examined under the study to evaluate their effect in the Banking Sector. Productivity is one of the most significant elements that influence the organization's general performance, which compromises with different elements like training, attitude, motivation, and work environment for creativity contribute to the overall success of the employees. The current examination explores the impact of worker proficiency and efficiency of training and motivation. A questionnaire was administered to employees of the banking sector to identify the perceived level of training and motivation that emphasizes the overall performance. The three variables were estimated on a five-point Likert scale choice. Five were the most important (strongly agree), and one being the least important (strongly disagree). The sample of the questionnaire schedule was self-prepared. The study result shows that training and motivation positively impact the effectiveness and efficiency of the employees. Also, the study features the training and development procedure of the financial area that should utilize to proper workers and increment their performance and analyzes the needs of training and motivation in the workplace.

Tourism is considered to be the largest service sector leading to a number of social and economic changes. The aim of this paper is to deduce the impacts of selected indicators of capacity and performance of tourism (such as number of accommodation facilities, number of beds, number of visitors in accommodation facilities, number of visitor’s overnight stays, average price of accommodation, and revenue of accommodation) on the socio-economic development of the national economy quantified by the rate of registered unemployment. The data were obtained from database of Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic on annually period. The analysis was carried out at the NUTS 3 level of Slovakia in the period between 2008 and 2017. Determining the extent of the impact of tourism capacity and profit potential indicators on the rate of registered unemployment in Slovakia has shown the supreme importance embodied in the average price for accommodation, confirmed by the result of the regression analysis, concluding that the unemployment rate decreases as the average price for accommodation increases. The analyses described were carried out using regression models, where the resulting relation between the price of accommodation and unemployment was conducted by using the simple linear regression.
