Introduction This study examined the effectiveness of occupational performance coaching, which was delivered through telerehabilitation, in improving children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) occupational performance, behavior problems, and prosocial behavior in addition to parental self-efficacy and quality of life. Method Forty-three children were matched and randomized to occupational performance coaching or waitlist groups. Occupational performance, parental self-efficacy, behavioral problems, and prosocial behaviors were assessed using the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure, Child adjustment and parent efficacy scale-developmental disability (CAPES-DD), the Short-Form Health Survey, and goal attainment scale. Results The intervention group showed greater improvement on occupational performance, specified goals, and behavioral problems. No progress was seen on the CAPES-DD prosocial behavior subscale. In addition, parental quality of life improvement was not maintained after the follow-up phase. Conclusion Occupation performance coaching, which was delivered through telerehabilitation, was effective on children with ASD occupational performance and parental self-efficacy, but it was not effective on the prosocial behaviors of these children.

The purpose of this study is to describe the pattern of fostering the sports achievement of wushu martial arts in the KONI Kabupaten Semarang during the Covid 19 pandemic. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. Sources of data in this study consisted of athletes, coaches, and administrators of the KONI Kabupaten Semarang. The data collection technique is an interview technique. The data analysis technique used an interactive analysis model. The results showed that the pattern of fostering the sports achievement of the KONI Kabupaten Semarang uses a talent scouting system, which means the process of scouting the talents of athletes from the recruitment stage to the final stage of coaching. The spirit of training and the athletes' efforts to achieve optimal performance are supported by the quality of the coaches which are already good, because all coaches have coach certification, and the training programs provided are in the good category. The management organization in good criteria is seen from the attention of the administrators to the athletes, and the management of Wushu martial arts. The facilities and infrastructure owned are included in the criteria both in terms of the completeness and quality of the existing facilities and infrastructure. Funding for the implementation of Wushu martial arts performance coaching is included in the criteria both seen from the source of funding and how to allocate funds for the coaching process. The conclusion obtained is that the pattern of fostering wushu martial sports achievements at the KONI Kabupaten Semarang is running well, has been programmed, tiered, and sustainable.

Learning Transfer System Inventory (LTSI) is a tool used to measure the impact of various factors on learning outcomes. The objective of the study was to understand the problems faced by Pakistan service sector employees and finally to evaluate the impact of motivation scale, environment scale and trainee ability scale on outcome scale.Questionnaire of Learning Transfer System Inventory adopted from Holton, Bates and Ruona (2000) was used.569 questionnaires were administered to the employees of Peshawar service sector including employees of banks, non-government organizations, education and health sectors, out of which 415 were completed with a response rate of 73%.Correlation analysis shows that value of R is 0.969 that means there is 96.9% correlation in variables that are considered in model. The value of R Square is 0.939. In Service Sector, Supervisor Sanction Variable, Performance Outcome Expectation Variable and Performance Coaching Variable are insignificant and do not bring change in our dependent variable Outcome. Standardized Coefficients show that Personal Capacity for Transfer Variable, Peer Support Variable, Supervisor Support Variable and Transfer Effort Performance Expectation Variable having higher Standardized Coefficients betas, that means those variables bring greater change in dependent variable Outcome.

Background: High rates of restricted community participation have been reported in young children with developmental disabilities. Occupational performance coaching (OPC), grounded in self-determination theory, aims to facilitate children's participation in life situations through coaching parents. However, there have been limited randomized controlled trials demonstrating the efficacy of OPC, especially with a specific focus on children's community participation. The proposed study is the first step in evaluating the feasibility and acceptability of conducting a pilot randomized controlled trial of OPC in Hong Kong and testing its initial efficacy (in comparison to parent consultation) in promoting children's community participation.Method/Design: A feasibility and pilot double-blind randomized controlled trial will be undertaken. Fifty children aged 6 years or below with developmental disabilities and their parents will be recruited from early intervention centers and/or through social media in Hong Kong. Parents will be randomly assigned to receive OPC or consultation, and will be blinded to group allocation. Outcomes will be assessed by blinded assessors at baseline, pre-intervention, post-intervention, and follow-up. Predetermined success criteria will be used to assess the feasibility of the trial. Qualitative interviews will be conducted with parents to explore the acceptability and perceived impact of OPC.Discussion: This trial will test whether the study protocol and OPC are feasible and acceptable, as well as assess the initial efficacy of OPC to obtain effect size estimates. The results of the trial will inform future preparations for conducting a full-scale efficacy trial of OPC.Trial Registration:ClinicalTrials.gov, U.S. National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health (#NCT04796909), Registered on 15th March 2021.

Burnout is widespread among primary care physicians (PCPs). Several key drivers of burnout in this specialty that have been increasingly recognized are the growing complexity and work demands placed on PCPs by outpatient clinical work environments. These high demands, from the perspective of the physician, detract from other valued tasks which provide meaning in daily work such as relationship-building and fellowship with the medical team. Given these trends, we believe that a viable means to address burnout can be found in utilizing a performance coaching approach to equip resident physicians for the practical and emotional demands of the primary care work environment into which they are entering. Specifically, we recommend a focus on clinical efficiency as an area for coaching development due to its potential impact on resident physician well-being. In this brief review article, we provide a summary of evidence for coaching interventions, along with evidence supporting an expansion to these approaches in clinical efficiency in outpatient settings based on the connection between workflow and engagement in meaningful medical practice. Lastly, we outline a prospective coaching approach which targets common sources of clinic inefficiency for resident practitioners.

Background. Developmental coordination disorder (DCD) leads to decreased occupational performance and restricted participation. Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance Approach (CO-OP) is effective, and as parental support is a key element, it seems relevant to investigate. Purpose. To describe a study protocol that will compare CO-OP with and without Occupational Performance Coaching (OPC) on activity and participation of children with DCD. Method. Randomized controlled with seven to 12-year-olds, assigned to either experimental (CO-OP+OPC) or control (CO-OP) group, both receiving traditional CO-OP, with four additional parental group sessions for the experimental group. Key Issues. Actual and perceived occupational performance and satisfaction of children’s chosen goals and participation, motor performance and executive function. Measures will be obtained at baseline, post-intervention, and at 3-month follow-up. Implications. Detailed description of an intervention protocol may help further replication and may contribute to clarify if a boost on parents’ participation promotes better outcomes for children with DCD. Trial registration. Clinical Trials, NCT02893852. ( https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02893852 )
