In the paper, trends and patterns of development of trade and economic cooperation of the EEU countries are analyzed. The authors, based on the economic-static analysis of international trade, study the features of the transformation of the commodity and regional structure of trade. Conclusions are drawn about the reasons for the existing features and trends in the development of intraregional economic cooperation.

AbstractWhite matter structural connections are likely to support flow of functional activation or functional connectivity. While the relationship between structural and functional connectivity profiles, here called SC-FC coupling, has been studied on a whole-brain, global level, few studies have investigated this relationship at a regional scale. Here we quantify regional SC-FC coupling in healthy young adults using diffusion-weighted MRI and resting-state functional MRI data from the Human Connectome Project and study how SC-FC coupling may be heritable and varies between individuals. We show that regional SC-FC coupling strength varies widely across brain regions, but was strongest in highly structurally connected visual and subcortical areas. We also show interindividual regional differences based on age, sex and composite cognitive scores, and that SC-FC coupling was highly heritable within certain networks. These results suggest regional structure-function coupling is an idiosyncratic feature of brain organisation that may be influenced by genetic factors.

Many studies have constrained that late-Variscan buckling produced the arcuate geometry of the Ibero-Armorican belt. Nonetheless, debate remains on the associated geodynamic framework. Poorly studied Late Carboniferous intramontane basins offer an excellent framework to decipher the timing and kinematics of the late- to post-Variscan tectonics. Understanding the latter also helps constrain the structural emplacement mode of contemporaneous W-Sn-Nb-Ta-Li mineralisation. In Iberia, the Porto-Sátão syncline is exemplary of such a Late Carboniferous intramontane basin. We present a structural analysis of the syncline, its basement and the associated W-Sn deposits. The regional structure is dictated by the Alcudian angular unconformity, caused by Cadomian tectonics (575-555Ma) and separating tilted Ediacaran and subhorizontal Lower Palaeozoic formations. Superposed Variscan deformation led to F1-F3 folds with steep and gentle plunges, respectively. The late-orogenic D3 fabric is locally affected by post-orogenic F4 kink folds and a S4 crenulation cleavage. W-Sn bearing vein systems occur along granite-hosted cone sheets, or exploit cross-fold joints associated with the F3 and F4 fold generations, revealing a close kinematic relationship between granite-related mineralisation and the late- to post-Variscan deformation style. This structural history is interpreted as a plate-scale geodynamic change from Late Carboniferous N-S (D3) to Early Permian WNW-ESE (D4) convergence.

AbstractThere are ca 1,492 thousand tractors currently used in Poland, with the average power of 45.3 kW. There are 9.8 ha of agricultural land per one tractor, their average age is ca 25 years and the degree of wear 77%. There are between 20 to 30 thousand tractors newly registered per year, however, these are both new and used tractors imported from abroad. These new registrations, which also reflect new purchases, are diverse depending on the region. Based on the 2018 records of the Central Register of Vehicles and Drivers (CEPiK), the paper establishes essential parameters of the registered tractors, such as price, power, age, depending on the region. There were 25,422 records under analysis, as some of the original records were dismissed as errors after verification. It was established that in the western part of Poland, with farms twice or three times bigger than in the rest of the country, the purchased tractors were characterized by higher power and lower age and, consequently, higher prices (81-95 kW, 14-18 years, PLN168-186 thousands). In contrast, the tractors in south-east Poland, where the dominant farms are of agricultural land below 10 ha, had worse parameters (76-86 kW, 14-18 years, PLN76-86 thousands).

Using a regional case study, the paper investigates some methodological problems concerning the measure of the relationships between two sets of variables. Canonical analysis seems a good tool, but discussion of its advantages and drawbacks shows it is not fully satisfactory. Other methods are tested and their efficiency discussed: Regression, joint-set component analysis, canonical-subspace interpretation by communalities, component-based redundancy. In conclusion, simultaneous use of canonical analysis and other methods is recommended since their results appear complementary.
