As a result of the difficulties caused by Covid-19 all over the world, there is an expansion of contactless and online payment. People are turning more and more toward E-commerce, and if this is not possible, they tend to choose contactless payment, in order to comply with all the current health and safety regulations. This paper is about the current variety of offers for contactless payment in Serbia, which is expanding daily. Cash is used less and less in Serbia, this being the consequence of mass usage of internet cards offered by the banks operating in our country, as well as Apple pay, one of the most advanced and secure ways of payment in the world.

For several months there have been recurring threads on microscopy-related internet listservers concerning health and safety issues that have troubled us greatly at Anatech Ltd. The general theme has been to make light of toxicity claims, provide anecdotal comments about having survived many decades of working in labs, and giving the impression that current health and safety regulations are at best a pain and probably are the cunning products of misguided governmental agencies. The great hazard of formaldehyde is not its proven carcinogenicity. Anyone interested in formaldehyde's effects on humans should read the preamble to OSHA's Formaldehyde Standard (Federal Register 52(233):46168-46312; December 4, 1987). According to studies cited therein, formaldehyde has been directly implicated in causing tumors in the lungs, nasoand oro-pharynx and nasal passages of humans occupationally exposed to levels of formaldehyde not unlike conditions existing in histology laboratories a few decades ago. Repeated and prolonged exposure increases the risk.

The 2nd International Conference on Oral Mucosal Immunity and the Microbiome (OMIM) took place at the Grecotel Kos Imperial Hotel, Kos, Greece, between 25th and 30th September 2021, under the auspices of the Aegean Conferences. This has only been the second Aegean Conference of this thematic, the first one having taken place in 2018 in Crete, during the same period of the year. Given the hardships in travel and heightened infection transmission risks amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Conference was well attended by 29 international speakers across the world. For many of the participants, this was the first conference travel in the post-pandemic era, and quite significant that it has taken place on the island of Hippocrates. Stringent regional health and safety regulations had to be followed to accomplish for this in-person Conference to take place. Frontiers in Oral Health has hosted papers from presentations of the Conference, whereas the present article serves as the proceedings of the Conference with summaries of the presentations.

The British Pressure Gauge Manufacturers Association has always emphasised the need for strict observance of recognised safety requirements when using pressure gauges. Unfortunately, gauges are both available and used that do not meet the rigid safety regulations laid down in British Standard 1780 and this could lead to serious accidents. The provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act coupled with the strengthened proposals for Product Liability will place a greater statutory responsibility upon the manufacturer and user alike. The Association has therefore prepared the following statement:

The concept of Occupational Health and Safety has become increasingly important as a result of increased industrialization and the development of new technologies all over the world. The basic philosophy of Occupational Health and Safety is to reduce the number of work accidents and to provide a healthier work environment for employees. The most risky sectors in the world are designated as mining, agriculture, forestry and construction. Markets are classified as "Dangerous Classes of Occupational Health and Safety" issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (ILO, 2004). When the risks are taken into consideration, marketing companies should perform risk analysis to ensure that hazards and problems will ocur. In this context, it is needed to provide and implement training on occupational health and safety regularly in order to protect against the identified risks. Periodic evaluations are performed at regular intervals that decrease in loss of life and property at marketing companies, both tangible as well as intangible losses will be reduced. Keywords: Markets, risk analyse, occupational health and safety.

Today’s companies are able to automate the enforcement of Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) duties through the use of workflow management technology. This approach requires to specify activities that are combined to workflow models for EH&S enforcement duties. In order to meet given safety regulations these activities are to be completed correctly and within given deadlines. Otherwise, activity failures emerge which may lead to breaches against safety regulations. A novel domain-specific workflow meta data model is proposed. The model enables a system to detect and predict activity failures through the use of data about the company, failure statistics, and activity proxies. Since the detection and prediction methods are based on the evaluation of constraints specified on EH&S regulations, a system approach is proposed that builds on the integration of a Workflow Management System (WMS) with an EH&S Compliance Information System. Main principles of the failure detection and prediction are described. For EH&S managers the system shall provide insights into the current failure situation. This can help to prevent and mitigate critical situations such as safety enforcement measures that are behind their deadlines. As a result a more reliable enforcement of safety regulations can be achieved.

We examine the relationship between `primary employment` and `business friendliness` of U.S. states. Do states with a low score in `business friendliness` worry small business owners too much and hence force them to run their business as their primary job? We look at several main components of `business friendliness` including `Ease of start`, `Ease of hire`, `Overall regulations`, and `Training and networking`. We also look at subcomponents including the different types of regulations and technology use. How does each of these factors affect a business owner’s decision to focus mainly on his/her business? We use the `United States Small Business Friendliness Survey` done by Kauffman Foundation and Thumptack.com in 2013 and converted the letter scores ranging from A+ to F in the survey to numerical scores ranging from 12 to 1 (i.e. 1 being the lowest score which corresponds to F). Therefore, after the conversion, each state has a numerical score on each business-friendliness category. The survey also asks business owners if they use the internet when starting a business, when paying their taxes, or when licensing. For each state, we compute the percentage of owners in each state using the internet when starting a business, when paying their taxes, or when licensing. We call these three percentage numbers for each state their `Internetstart`, `Internettax`, and `Internetlicensing` scores. Then, using the mean score for all states for each type of regulation or internet score, we divide the states into two groups: the `high-score states` and the `low-score states`. In our analysis, we use non-parametric tests to compare the `high-score states` to the `low-score states`. Our non-parametric tests show that although none of the main components (i.e. `Ease of start`, `Ease of hire`, `Overall regulations`, and `Training and networking`) seem to affect `primary employment`, the overall business friendliness score of a state significantly affects `primary employment`. When we examine the different types of regulations, we find that `Health and safety regulations`, `Licensing regulations`, and `Zoning regulations` affect `primary employment`. `Employment regulations`, `Tax code`, or `Environmental regulations` does not have a significant impact. These findings may indicate that business owners are more worried with regard to Health and safety regulations, Licensing regulations, and Zoning regulations, therefore more of them choose to take matters into their own hands. Another possible explanation may be the relative complexity of the tasks associated with these regulations. Finally, our results show that technology use in the entrepreneurial process does not affect `Primary employment`.

In order to decrease the environmental problems in recent years in the world, caused mainly by foreign trade, changes and the introduction of environmental approaches within the business of companies are necessary. Eco design is a powerful tool that pushes boundaries in design, and at the same time participates in raising awareness about environmental protection. At the same time, it reduces environmental pollution and costs, and increases the environmental efficiency and profitability of organizations. Cost reduction can be a particularly important factor in attracting companies to introduce and apply this discipline. It connects with the circular economy and sustainable development and proposes instructions to designers to reduce their negative impact on the environment, choosing environmentally friendly materials, processes and technology. In the world, but also in Croatia, it is necessary to give priority to the development of technology for designing green materials and design technology, design techniques for cleaning paints and compounds and design techniques for a clean environment. The purpose of the article is to provide the public with a deeper understanding of how and whether there is a need to use more green products and furniture. Businesses need to focus on marketing sustainable furniture to a greater extent in order to increase the purchase, but also the awareness of green furniture consumption. The furniture industry is one of those committed to improving its operations in the territory of environmental protection. Eco furniture is easily repaired, disassembled and recycled, and there is awareness in its design, production and end use. Era grupa d.o.o. is a company that deals with ecological furniture that was designed and manufactured in Croatia and has reached a level of high environmental and ethical awareness. The aim is to produce an impact on the qualitative improvement of products in the furniture industry, which is based on the use of ecodesign at all stages of production and reduction of emissions of harmful substances and respect for the health and safety of workers and end users. Also, their desire is to establish a Croatian eco-design that is recognizable and that will affect the competitiveness of Croatian products in the world.
