Increasing a kid’s concentration is a major problem for both teachers and parents, but the presence of educational games solves almost 70% of this problem and the other percentage relies on teacher and parent roles to increase the kid’s concentration using different methods and this is the main role of our game here. Our game’s name is Cube Invasion and we derived its name out from its context because it is a 3D game with cubes which surround the kid’s player and he try to hit most of the boxes to get the highest score in a less time and tries not to lose to the time or not get the least amount of score to pass the level. We can achieve our goal of the game (increasing the kid’s concentration level) by making the game’s surroundings a lot harder in the intercourse of the game; so we have here four kinds of surroundings for the kid to interact with—green box: this is the main box for the kid to hit; yellow box: this is a box with a negative attitude that the kid should be aware of; white box: this is a box for increasing time if he runs out of time; red box: this is a rare box and it appears and disappears in a second and requires a high concentration level to hit it. We used Unity game engine for gaming control and programming because it is the most famous game engine right now and it provides a lot of helpful things for the kid to interact with. We use the after effects for the game design and development of both introduction video, game components and animation of the game. Our game storyline talks about a peaceful planet called Pill-earth where everyone loves each other. We have our hero and his lover (girlfriend) sitting in the park and all of a sudden an invasion of cubes comes to the planet to occupy it and spread hatred among the planet’s inhabitants. They abduct the hero’s girlfriend and he gets angry and tries to restore her and free the planet from this disastrous occupation. At last, he succeeds in killing the leader and restoring his lover and freeing the planet. This story makes the child interact more with the game.   Keywords: ADHD treatment, educational games, FPS games.

In this paper, the formation of the Caliphate, which emerged as a scientific discipline by Mu‘tazila in Hijri 2nd Century, the general situation and basic features of the Ottoman education system up to the 16th century and the works of Kalām taught in madrasas are examined. This study is a descriptive and comparative study. This research will use the classical soruces of the history of Islam, the history of sects in islams and kalam. In spite of some unfavorable reactions which have been exhibited against Ilm al-Kalām since the earliest period of the Ottoman period, Ilm al-Kalām has been able to enter the curriculum of the Ottoman madrasas and become a knowledge discipline favored by the Ottoman sultans and their ʿulamās. The most important contributor to this was the Ottoman sultans, who showed great interest in science, valued the freedom of thought and belief, and provided free thinking and working environment in the Kalām and philosophical areas. In this respect, the Ottoman lands became a science and culture center and a great deal of scholars have been trained in scientific and religious areas up to the 16th century, and in these areas, they produced lots of precious works. Among these works, there are not only independent studies on akaid and Kalām but also works belonging to other disciplines which study the fields of faith, worship and morality together. Ilm al-Kalām came to the fore in the Ottoman education system with the help of these scholars who interested in Ilm al-Kalām. Through the middle of the 16th century, the importance given to the education of Kalām was decreased due to a number of reasons and Kalām was replaced by fiqh. The Anti-Kalām thought reached such a point that many books on Kalām theology had been removed from the madrasah course curriculum and some scholars gave fatwas that say that learning Kalām was forbidden. The findings state that the science of Kalam was considered important until 16th century after which it has   lost its importance in the educational system. This caused the loss the culture of criticism and the philosophical though has been ignored. Key Words: Ottoman, Kalām, Philosophy, Ahl al-Sunna, Madrasah

The electromagnetism is one of the important topics in physics and it has quite a lot of applications in a wide range of area. It also examines the electromagnetic force researches that occur between the electrically charged particles. On the other hand, examination of the magnetic field around the conductors and the movement of the charged particles in the electromagnetic field is quite interesting topics on that the physics researchers intensively investigated. The electromagnetic theory has an abstract nature, because the university level students have many learning and understanding difficulties about the concepts related to these topics. In realization of meaningful learning, the role of the students’ prior knowledge about the aforementioned concepts is becoming important. This study aims to investigate the understanding of 12 pre-service physics teachers related to the concept of moving particles in an electromagnetic filed by using the qualitative research methods. The data collected through the test consisting of three question and it was analysed by using content analysis method. The understanding levels and the alternative conceptions of the pre-service physics teachers were determined by different categories at the end of the content analyses process.   Keywords: Alternative conceptions, electromagnetism education, pre-service physics teachers; understanding level;

Sociolinguistic research is interested in the way people, including leaders, use language to construct and perform social identities. Given that an increasing number of professional women have to do leadership side by side with men, this case study research, which was conducted at the Lebanese International University, studied gender and leadership styles from a qualitative content analytical perspective. More specifically, it sought to determine male and female leadership styles and to investigate their linguistic practices through the analysis of self-reflections and interviews. The researcher used five male and five female coordinators’ self-reflections and transcribed interviews that were collected, analysed and categorised to find out any differences in the leadership style and language use of male and female leaders in the academic settings. The findings showed the influence of the genders in their choice of linguistic expressions indicating the noteworthy dominance of the two prevalent dimensions in leadership styles, namely, transformational and transactional. Keywords: Gender leadership styles, gender linguistic practices, transformational leadership, transactional leadership, Lebanon.
