Economic Rentability depend on the factor of the efficiency of cost control and working capital turnover (Khoyri, 2014; Vidiyastutik, 2013). This paper investigatesthe impact of cost control effectiveness and working capital turnover on Economic Rentability. The type of data used was quantitative data taken from the company's annual financial statements. Using panel data for 14companiesthat is all manufacturing companies of metal sub sector and the like that listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange and the observation period from 2012to 2016, we tested the relationships between the efficiency of cost control and working capital turnover by building panel model. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Meanwhile, the statistical method used is multiple linear regression analysis. Our findings showed that the efficiency of cost control does not have a significant effect on Economic Rentability. The results of this paperis indicated by the significance value of the efficiency of cost control greater than alpha (0.869> 0.05). This study also reveals that Working Capital Turnover has a significant effect on Economic Profitability. The statistical test shows that the significance value of Working Capital Turnover is smaller than alpha (0.000 <0.05).

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to examine whether working capital variables, size, and capital structure affect the return on assets. The population in this study are manufacturing companies in various sub-sectors proposed in the Indonesia stock exchange in 2016-2018. The type of data used in this study is secondary data from the company's annual financial statements as a sample that is used and processed using SPSS 16.00. This research uses the classic assumption test and the data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show how working capital (ratio using current ratio, accounts receivable turnover, and net working capital), size, and capital structure (tested using a debt to equity ratio) are considered to compare asset returns.Keywords: working capital, size, capital structure, return on assets ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji apakah variabel modal kerja, ukuran, dan struktur modal berpengaruh terhadap return on assets. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan manufaktur di berbagai sub sektor yang diusulkan di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2016-2018. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder berupa laporan keuangan tahunan perusahaan sebagai sampel yang digunakan dan diolah menggunakan SPSS 16.00. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji asumsi klasik dan metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bagaimana modal kerja (rasio menggunakan rasio lancar, perputaran piutang, dan modal kerja bersih), ukuran, dan struktur modal (diuji menggunakan rasio utang terhadap ekuitas) dipertimbangkan untuk membandingkan pengembalian aset.Kata kunci: modal kerja, ukuran, struktur modal, return on assets

This research was conducted to see the effect of tax planning and company size on earnings management (Empirical Study on Company MAnufacturing Listed In Indonesia Stock Exchange). The factors tested in this study are tax planning and company size as independent variables and earnings management as the dependent variable.                This type of research is descriptive method of analysis and type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study is a manufacturing company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2015-2017. Sampling technique in this study using purposive sampling technique, so that obtained the number of samples of 21 companies with the final data amounted to 63 financial statements. Sources of data in this study are secondary data downloaded through www.idx.co.id and corporate website each in the form of annual financial statements of the company for 3 years in the period 2015 to 2017. Data analysis techniques in this study using multiple linear regression analysis.                 The results of this study indicate that simultaneously tax planning and the size of the company have a significant influence on the earings management in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock sExchange for the 2015-2017 period.

<p><em>This study aims to determine the effect of liquidity, solvency and working capital turnover on profitability at manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. In this study, the sample used as many as 32 companies. The data used in the form of financial statements listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis after passing the classical assumption test consisting of normality test, multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test and heteroscedasticity test. The results prove that liquidity has a significant effect on profitability, solvency has no effect on profitability and turnover of working capital has a significant positive effect on profitability. Of the two influential variables, liquidity has a greater impact than the working capital turnover. Simultaneously liquidity, solvency and turnover of working capital have a significant effect on profitability. The value of R2 Adjusted in this study is 0.159 which means that 15.9% profitability can be influenced by liquidity, solvency and working capital turnover. While the remaining 84.1% influenced by other variables.</em></p><p> </p><p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh likuiditas, solvabilitas dan perputaran modal kerja terhadap profitabilitas pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Dalam penelitian ini, sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 32 perusahaan. Data yang digunakan berupa laporan keuangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Nilai R<sup>2</sup> Adjusted dalam penelitian ini sebesar 0.159 yang berarti bahwa 15.9%  profitabilitas dapat dipengaruhi oleh likuiditas, solvabilitas dan perputaran modal kerja. Sedangkan sisanya 84.1% dipengaruhi oleh variabel-variabel lain.</p>

This research was conducted at various industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2014-2018. The phenomenon that occurs is an increase in company working capital turnover, but the company's profitability decreases. The purpose of this study is to learn more about working capital turnover towards profitability in various industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2014-2018. This research uses descriptive analysis method and verification method using quantitative analysis. The population used in this study is the financial position financial statements and earnings reports of various industrial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2014-2018. Sampling with purposive sampling technique with data of 5 years. The statistical method used is multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS 21.0 application assistance program. The results of the study showed that the working capital turnover had a significant effect on profitability in various industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2014-2018.

This study aims to determine the effect of audit committees, profitability, and solvability on the financial report punctuality of metal manufacturing companies listed in the Indonesia stock exchange. This study used quantitative approach. The data collection technique used in this study is document analysis in the form of financial statements of metal subsector manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange for the 2014-2016 period accessed from www.idx.co.id. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total sample of 30 companies. The data analysis method used was multiple linear regression analysis performed in SPSS 24.0 program. The results showed that (1) audit committees do not significantly affect the punctuality in submitting financial statements. (2) Profitability (ROA) has a negative effect or no significant effect on the financial reporting punctuality, (3) Solvability does not significantly influence the financial reporting punctuality (3).

The research is conducted of determine the effect of working capital to total assets, inventory turnover, debt to equity ratio, and return on asset towards Profit Growth in the basic industrial and chemical manufacturing companies. Based on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the of period 2013 – 2017. The population of this study consistens of the companies with sampling criteria, there are 52 companies which passed the sample collection criteria, using purpose sampling technique, and the data sources used are taken from the company’s financial statements which are belong sampled through www.idx.co.id This research used multiple linear regression analysis is processed by using the 20th without of SPSS program (Statistical Product and Service Solution) This study has ROA results does give effect to profit growth, while the working capital to total assets, inventory turnover and debt to equity ratio does not have effect on profit growth.

This study aims to determine the effect of profitability, solvency and size of the company to the audit report lag in manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange 2010-2013. The samples used as many as 105 companies with purposive sampling technique. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that (1) the profitability  affect audit report lag indicates that companies that get a big profit tends to make the process shorter than audit firms experienced a small profit. (2) the liquidity affect audit report lag, (3) the solvency effect indicates that the high amount of debt of the company will lead the audit process is relatively long, and (4) the size of the company does affect indicating that a large or small amount of assets owned by the company does affect the length or in short the process of preparing the financial statements of the company.

This study aims to analyze the effect of executive characteristics and family ownership as a stimulus factor for tax avoidance and to see the existence of a political relationship as a moderating variable in the effect of executive characteristics and family ownership on tax avoidance. This research was conducted on manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2017-2019. In this study, the sample was determined based on the purposive sampling technique with the criteria that the sample company was manufacture listed on the IDX for three consecutive years from 2017-2019, published an annual report in the 2017-2019 period sequentially, did not experience delisting, was not a company the IPO in 2018-2019, did not experience any losses and did not have an ETR value of more than 1. The research sample was obtained from as many as 138 companies with 3 years of observation. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis (Multiple Regression Analysis) and Moderate Regression Analysis (MRA) using the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program. The results showed (I) executive characteristics had a significant positive effect on tax avoidance (II) family ownership had a significant negative effect on tax avoidance (III) political connections were not able to strengthen the executive's positive influence on tax avoidance (IV) political connections weakened family ownership on tax avoidance. This study can also show that the sample companies tend to comply with tax rules, they avoid sanctions and fines, and consider the risk of loss that must be faced by the company when proven to do tax avoidance.

This study aims to determine the effect of profitability, capital intensity, and inventory intensity on tax avoidance. This research was conducted at manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2017 with a population of 150 companies. Determination of the sample in this research is by non probabilaty sampling method and by purposive sampling technique, so that the research sample is 63 companies. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis which shows that all independent variables in this study, namely profitability, capital intensity, and inventory intensity have a positive effect on tax avoidance.
