This study examines the factors influencing customers' online purchasing intentions. A questionnaire was administered to a group of 584 respondents through the purposive sampling method. Data were analyzed via the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach to examine the posited research hypotheses. The PLS-SEM approach revealed that impulse purchase orientation was the strongest predictor of customers' online purchase intention in Malaysia. This was followed by an online purchase experience, and then online trust and quality orientation. It is also discovered that brand orientation does not significantly influence customers' online purchase intention in Malaysia. This research is helpful to online retailers in the development of business strategies and also the academicians to conduct further research by adding a new variable in the mix for generation and evolution of the concept. The originality of the paper is its investigation of the determinants as the predictors in the proposed theoretical framework and the Decomposed Theory of Planned Behavior (DTPB) as the underpinning theory for this study, something that has been overlooked in prior studies. The results underpin new and extensive inputs into marketing theory and enlarge the emergent literature related to customers' purchase intention in online shopping in Malaysia. Directions for future research are offered.

This study examines the factors affecting millennials and generation Z’s purchase intention in online shopping. The variables under investigation, namely, impulse purchase orientation, quality orientation, brand orientation, online trust, and online purchase experience, were tested. The data collection approach used a web-based questionnaire that was created and distributed to 584 university students in Malaysia. Data were analyzed via the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach to examine the posited research hypotheses. The results revealed that impulse purchase orientation was the strongest predictor of consumers’ online purchase intention in Malaysia. This is followed by online trust, and the online purchase experience and quality orientation. Meanwhile, brand orientation did not affect customers’ intention to purchase online. The results contribute new and extensive inputs into the marketing theory and expand the emergent literature on consumer intention to shop online in Malaysia, whereby rich multi-ethnic cultures should be fully exploited. Future directions are offered.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) in management domains is a well-known concept that links corporate interests and environmental/community values. CSR is considered a strategic policy that offers environmental and social competitive advantages. Organizations consider that CSR-based goodwill provides a tactical competitive edge and sustainable growth. The goal of this paper is to show how CSR programs affect consumers’ purchasing intention in the context of Pakistan. In addition, the effect of customer awareness has been studied as a moderator between CSR and purchasing intention. To this end, the study has conducted a survey and gathered Pakistani customers’ responses, and structural equation modeling has been used to evaluate the results. The study concludes that CSR activities favorably affect customer purchasing intentions directly as well as indirectly through improving brand image and trust, and customer awareness of CSR activities plays a moderating role. The implications and future research directions are discussed.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to apply the multidimensional construct of green perceived value (GPV) to the buying behavior of green food products to enhance the understanding of consumer behavior intentions and explain the formation of the intention to buy green food products. Design/methodology/approach This study adopted four GPVs (i.e. functional value, conditional value, social value and emotional value) and explored the relationships among GPV, attitudes and purchase intention. A total of 300 self-administered questionnaires were distributed, from which 253 usable responses were obtained. Findings The relationships between six constructs and 20 indicators were measured using structural equation modeling. All the underlying dimensions had a significant effect on consumers’ attitudes, significantly affecting their purchase intention. Originality/value Implications for future research and marketing strategies in the field of purchasing behaviors of green food products are discussed.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine how user-generated positive social electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) via Facebook affects brand attitude and, consequently, influences purchase intention of smartphones. The spending patterns of consumers, particularly decision-makers, have been affected to a substantial degree by the strong presence of brands on the web. eWOM, one among the shape of net product reviews, exercises extensive influence not only on the consumers’ attitude towards the brand but also impacts their buying intentions. Design/methodology/approach A survey-based empirical study was conducted to examine the influence of social eWOM on brand attitude and purchase intention of consumers. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied using data collected from 311 respondents comprising users of Facebook. Findings The research established that user-generated positive eWOM on social networking site, Facebook significantly influences brand attitude and purchase intention of consumer electronics. Research limitations/implications The data set used for the study limits generalizing of results, as the data are not representative across industries or across all social media applications. The study provides a useful and interesting insight into the theory and practice of eWOM. It shows how social eWOM, an emerging communication tool, not only helps twenty-first century marketers in reaching customers, but how it also plays a vital role in affecting brand attitude and purchase intention of products. Originality/value This paper provides useful and valuable insights into the relationship between social eWOM, brand attitude and purchase intention of consumer electronics, an area that largely remains unexplored. The study can also be replicated for other products or services for future research.

The advancement of technology has resulted in the creation of a new form of shopping transactions. This technology is used by residents to shop online. Thus, customers’ involvements in online purchasing have become an important trend.  The objective of this research was to identify the determinants of customer purchases online. This study used a surveymethod using questionnaires and the target is an online customer in Central Jakarta.This research used simple regression to determine the effect of purchace intention to factors that influence it. Data questionnaire distributed directly to the respondents who never buy online shopping.  Findings revealed that impulse purchase intention, quality orientation, brand orientation, online trust and prior online purchase experience were positively related to the customer online purchase intention.

PurposeThe consumption of organic food grows worldwide, increasing the need of studies seeking to understand factors influencing its consumption. To extend the understanding of organic food market, the present research seeks to explore the effect of perceived value on consumer trust and purchase intention in Brazil.Design/methodology/approachA survey with 274 Brazilian consumers of organic food was carried out. Perceived value was measured through four dimensions: functional, economic, social and emotional. The convergent and discriminant validities of latent variables were confirmed. The relationships among them were tested using structural equation modeling.FindingsThe results indicate that functional and emotional values positively affect consumer trust and that only emotional value motivates purchase intention. The trust had no direct influence on purchase intention. Thus, the perceived value is an important aspect in the prediction of trust and purchase intention among Brazilian consumers.Originality/valueThe identified results enlarge the understanding of Brazilian organic food market and consumer behavior and point out some opportunities for future research involving the subject.

Transition to sustainability is a long-term challenge which should also actively engage consumers, as consumption causes environmental stress. In order to understand how consumers adopt eco-products, we conducted an extensive literature review of green consumerism and presented findings of 47 previous research works. In addition, this study’s aim was to explore whether consumers remain only concerned about the environment or whether they actually make a difference. Moreover, we examined gender differences. Because the relationship between consumers’ environmental concern and purchase intention is not straightforward, we aimed to explore the effect of consumers’ environmental concern on their purchase intention. The purpose of this paper was to explore how consumers’ familiarity with and consciousness of eco-products and their perceived sense of environmental responsibility mediate the relationship between consumers’ environmental concern and their purchase intention. We used structural equation modeling to test the proposed conceptual model based on a sample of 705 Slovenian consumers. Our findings suggest that all the above-mentioned constructs mediate the relationship between consumers’ environmental concern and their purchase intention in relation to eco-products. However, consumers’ consciousness of eco-products has the greatest effect in channeling environmental concern into purchase intention of eco-products. In addition, the findings indicate that female consumers express greater environmental concern, consciousness of eco-products, and perceived environmental responsibility than male consumers. The paper concludes with policy and managerial implications, theoretical implications, limitations of the study, and future research directions based on the findings of consumers’ perspectives.

In general, this study aims to determine the effect of eWOM through social media Instagram on the purchase intention of products online in Batam City. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample in this study amounted to 113 respondents who were users of social media Instagram. This research instrument using a questionnaire and analyzed using techniques Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of the SmartPLS 2.0 program. The results of this study indicate that trust, informational influence, moral obligation have significant involvement in eWOM, but the altruism variable does not have a significant effect on eWOM through social media Instagram and eWOM through social media Instagram has a strong influence on purchase intention of products online in Batam City. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the exchange of information through eWOM can lead to consumer buying interest.

The main aim of this study is to examine the key factors that influence future purchase intention and shape the consumers’ attitude towards brand social media pages. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey from Lahore city, Pakistan. A total number of 380 responses were collected from which 274 were analyzed by using structural equation modeling. The outcomes of the study shows that brand credibility, brand familiarity, and attitude towards brand social media page are the key factors of future purchase intention. Moreover, the study found a negative significant association of brand familiarity and e-wom with future purchase intention for the female group. The study further found that involvement is positively significantly associated with consumers' attitudes towards social media. So far; no study examines the factors of future purchase intention based on gender. This study contributes to explaining the inconsistent results between e-WOM and future purchase intention. Implication concerning offers for managerial brand marketers, firms, and research practices and directions for future research presented.

The research paper attempts to understand the various parameters leading to customer purchase intention toward the dairy products. The study paper draws its insights and conclusions by using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) followed by incorporating confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) statistical technique along with using structural equation modeling (SEM). As per the outcome of the study, customer services variable comes out to most positively influence the attitudes of the consumers towards purchase intention followed by price of the product, quality of the dairy products, and last but not least, product packaging. This research paper identifies various factors which are making an impact on the customers' minds while purchasing milk and milk products. This paper carried out a review of literature in the field of customer purchase intention and dairy industry in order to understand the current practices, identify gaps, and suggest future research agendas.
