There is not only space weather; there is also space climate. Space climate includes the ionospheric climate, which is affected by long-term trends in the ionosphere. One of the most important ionospheric parameters is the critical frequency of the ionospheric F2 layer, foF2, which corresponds to the maximum ionospheric electron density, NmF2. Observational data series of foF2 have been collected at some stations for as long as over 60 years and continents are relatively well covered by a network of ionosondes, instruments that measure, among others, foF2. Trends in foF2 are relatively weak. The main global driver of long-term trends in foF2 is the increasing concentration of greenhouse gases, namely CO2, in the atmosphere. The impact of the other important trend driver, the secular change in the Earth’s main magnetic field, is very regional, being positive in some regions, negative in others, and neither in the rest. There are various sources of uncertainty in foF2 trends. One is the inhomogeneity of long foF2 data series. The main driver of year-to-year changes in foF2 is the quasi-eleven-year solar cycle. The removal of its effect is another source of uncertainty. Different methods might provide somewhat different strengths among trends in foF2. All this is briefly reviewed in the paper.

In today’s world, green development has become an important trend, and many countries regard the development of green industry as an important measure to promote economic restructuring. Green development is consistent with sustainable development in ideology. China’s economy is in the stage of high-quality development. As an important foundation for China’s external economic development, the free trade zone can play a good role in promoting its green and high-quality development. Based on the data of 18 free trade zones in China in 2020, this paper explores the green and high-quality development path of the China Pilot Free Trade Zone. Firstly, the green development index is constructed according to the existing research and experience, and then the fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method is used to evaluate the green and high-quality development path. The results show that the development of pilot free trade zones is not the result of a single condition but the result of a combination of green policy effectiveness, foreign investment participation, green production growth rate, and other conditions. Combined with the green and high-quality development path, this paper further provides enlightenment for the development of the China Pilot Free Trade Zone.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to assess the substantiveness of stakeholder engagement by examining voluntary disclosures tied to the engagement process. The objective is to draw a portrait of stakeholder engagement practices and determine whether they genuinely contribute to informing stakeholders or whether they are simply intended to manage stakeholders’ impressions. Design/methodology/approach The authors performed an exploratory content analysis on 113 sustainability reports published in 2018 in the Global Reporting Initiative database. The authors investigated disclosures tied to consulted stakeholders, communication modes and material issues resulting from the engagement process. The authors then assessed the substantiveness of these disclosures to determine the extent of the impression management tactics deployed in the stakeholder engagement disclosures made by Canadian companies. Findings Data analysis showed that more than a third of Canadian firms tend to make generic disclosures on their stakeholders’ engagement. As well, almost half the engagement modes disclosed are unidirectional and fewer than 33% of Canadian companies disclose on relevant sustainability issues. Furthermore, only 26% of the sample seek assurance on the information disclosed. Overall, the authors note an important trend in impression management used in sustainability reporting and underscore a potentially significant sectoral effect in the tactics used. Originality/value These data provide new insight into stakeholder engagement processes and highlight the strategies used by Canadian companies to manage their stakeholders’ impressions rather than their expectations. The study also contributes to a better understanding of the underexplored stakeholder engagement process and provides regulatory organisations with deepened insights to better frame stakeholder engagement disclosures.

The sustainability to ensure grain security is an important issue that China’s government faces. It has become more important to ensure grain security by improving the efficiency of grain production under the constraints of limited resources. At present, industrial integration has become an important trend of economic development in China. This study explores the impact of industrial integration on the sustainability of grain security from the perspective of grain production efficiency. In this paper, the grain production efficiency was measured by stochastic frontier analysis method. The degree of industrial integration is measured by the coupling coordination method. Additionally, the effect of industrial integration on grain production efficiency is empirically studied by the panel tobit model. Empirical results show that industrial integration can promote the improvement of grain production efficiency, which reveals that accelerating industrial integration can also be conducive to grain security.

Abstract With the rapid development of modern science and technology, ship design and construction are becoming more and more large-scale, professional and intelligent, and the degree of integration, intelligence and modularization of port and terminal equipment is also getting higher and higher. Smart ships and wisdom The construction of ports has become an important trend in the development of the shipping industry. Although the rope materials of modern ships have been greatly improved, the main mooring method of ships still relies on the traditional operation method of manual mooring [1], which has low operation efficiency, high degree of danger and high risk factor. This article mainly studies the use of electromagnetic technology to realize the automatic berthing and unberthing of ships. The electromagnetic mooring device is controlled by the remote control system to realize the automatic berthing and unberthing operations of the ship, and the height and angle are automatically adjusted according to the tide and loading conditions to realize berthing monitoring.

Screening the lead compounds which could interact both with PAS and CAS of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) is an important trend in finding innovative drugs for Alzheimer’s disease (AD). In this paper, four sesquiterpenes, i.e., atractylenolide III (1), atractylenolide IV (2), 3-acetyl-atractylon (3) and β-eudesmol (4), were obtained from the wild Atractylode macrocephala grown in Qimen for the first time. Their structures were elucidated mainly by NMR spectroscopy. To screen the potential dual site inhibitors of AChE, the compounds 1, 2, 3, as well as a novel and rare bisesquiterpenoid lactone, biatractylenolide II (5), which was also obtained from the tilted plant in our previous investigation, were evaluated their AChE inhibitory activities by using Ellman’s colorimetric method. The results showed that biatractylenolide II displayed moderate inhibitory activity (IC50 = 19.61 ± 1.11 μg/mL) on AChE. A further molecular docking study revealed that biatractylenolide II can interact with both the peripheral anionic site (PAS) and the catalytic active site (CAS) of AChE. These data suggest that biatractylenolide II can be considered a new lead compound to research and develop more potential dual site inhibitors of AChE.

The main goal of the manuscript is an attempt to show that contemporary trends in tourism are based on forms in which cognitive, adventure and educational tourism is becoming more and more important. All these forms are based on the natural, cultural and historical heritage of the regions. In Poland, “krajoznawstwo” is an important trend, which for years has been based on the educational, cognitive and active tourism functions. It turns out that it is very difficult to find an equivalent of this word in English, but the message "get to know your country" can be carried out anywhere, in any part of the world. We decided to use the word "touring" in the text.
