The paper presents an analytical method of identifying the curvature of the turnout diverging track consisting of sections of varying curvature. Such turnout is mainly applied on High Speed Railway. Both linear and nonlinear (polynomial) curvatures of the turnout diverging track are considered in the paper. Obtained solutions enable to assume curvature values at the beginning and end point of the geometrical layout of the turnout. The paper focus on a fundamental and unexplained so far issue connected with selection of the most favourable curvature section from the operational requirements point of view. In order to determine the optimal curvature a dynamic analysis has been carried out on the several representative cases. It has been indicated that, used in railway practice, clothoid sections with nonzero curvatures at the beginning and end points of the turnout should be verified. It has been proved that the turnout with nonlinear curvature reaching zero values at the extreme points of the geometrical layout is the most favourable.

This paper mainly introduces the use of judgment and the decision-making process of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to solve the choice of railway line. From the aspects of economy, technology, environment and society, we determine the factors that influence the selection of railway line. Through the application of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), we analyzed the problems.

High deployment costs, safety risks, and time delays restrict traditional track detection methods in high-speed railways. Therefore, approaches based on optical sensors have become the most remarkable strategy in terms of deployment cost and real-time performance. Owing to the large amount of data obtained by sensors, it has been proven that deep learning, as a powerful data-driven approach, can perform effectively in the field of track detection. However, it is difficult and expensive to obtain labeled data from railways during operation. In this study, we used a segment of a high-speed railway track as the experimental object and deployed a distributed optical fiber acoustic system (DAS). We propose a track detection method that innovatively leverages semi-supervised deep learning based on image recognition, with a particular pre-processing for the dataset and a greedy algorithm for the selection of hyper-parameters. The superiority of the method was verified in both experiments and actual applications.

The Liuyang River Tunnel on Wuhan-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway goes through the bottom of Liuyang River, the geological condition of which wall rock is not suitable for the construction. The paper proposes the heading pre-reinforcement method, namely pre-reinforcing core soil ahead of heading with fiberglass rockbolt in construction in order to optimize the construction methods and avoid both the deformation inside the tunnel and surface subsidence, and to ensure safety of tunnel construction. In order to determine the reasonable construction parameters, the paper obtains reinforcement density and length of fiberglass rockbolt, pre-reinforcement method on outline of heading, excavation step length and other construction parameters, by the numerical simulation, the indoor model tests and other methods, and analyzes its sensitivity. It is shown by the practices in construction that the selected parameters are reasonable and significantly effective, thus providing valuable experience for promotion and application of heading pre-reinforcement method.
