Monitoring of structures during operation is a direct requirement of the current legislation, especially relevant for technically complex structures, which include high-rise buildings. It is important not only for ensuring mechanical safety during construction operation, but also as a tool for reverse analysis of the actual stress-strain state of structures and foundations for compliance with the design calculation forecast, which should ultimately contribute to the development of construction theory and practice. The article is devoted to the organization of monitoring during the operation of the Lakhta Center skyscraper in St. Petersburg. The basis of the monitoring system is a design model of the building that interacts with the base making it possible to give the monitoring an interactive character. Particular attention is paid to the definition of «alarms» that make it possible to signal timely about the occurrence of negative trends helping to eliminate the occurrence of an emergency. It is shown that the calculations for justifying the criteria of monitoring systems differ significantly from the usual calculations when designing. The article defines the features of a workable monitoring system, to which the system implemented in practice fully corresponds. A comparison of the readings set in the design of measuring equipment and design expectations is given. The example of a high-rise building shows how to assign the «alarm» and «accident» criteria to ensure the operability of the monitoring system during operation.

A case of the long-short-pile composite foundation in liquefied soft soil under a 30-storey high-rise building is presented, in which the long and short piles are made of cement-flyash-gravel (CFG) and lime. A new design calculation method of bearing capacity and settlement of composite foundation is introduced, and the calculated value is compared with the actual measurement. The results show that the liquefaction of soft ground is eliminated and the demand of load and settlement for upper building is met. At the same time, it is proved that the design method is feasible.

In the article the problems, which appear under the creation of monitoring systems concerning the condition of informatization of general educational institutions, such as definition of monitoring object and list of parameters that will be traced during the monitoring, technologies of obtaining and actualization of data parameters, that are to be monitored, formats of data submission and ways of its processing, monitoring time period etc. are considered. In the article some decision of these problems are offered. Here is also mentioned the data of some characteristics and possibilities of the creation of monitoring systems concerning the condition of informatization of general educational institutions in Ukraine.

The paper deals with issues of high-rise building development and contemporary problems related to the formation of city development vision in Lithuania. The analysis focuses on the possibilities and problems arising in the process of developing the Special Plan of high-rise building arrangement in Klaipėda in the formation of the visual image of the city. The methodology of this Plan is discussed by the author in two papers. The present paper is the first one and analyses two stages of the plan development. The first stage is the analysis of the current situation in Klaipėda and possibilities to introduce high-rise buildings into the city morphostructure. This stage comprises 7 aspects: evaluation of the territory development from the point of view of investment possibilities; historical development of the city structure; hierarchy of values of preserved territories; analysis of the territory planning documents regulating townscape formation; evaluation of visual peculiarities; definition of visual identity zones, analysis and evaluation of important mass view points as well as evolvents of views seen from them. The second stage of developing the Special Plan constitutes efforts to define the conception of high-rise buildings arrangement on a city scale, central part scale and old-town scale. Santrauka Straipsnis skirtas aukštybinės statybos plėtros klausimui ir su tuo susijusioms šiandieninėms miesto plėtros vizijos formavimo problemoms Lietuvoje. Nagrinėjamos Klaipėdos miesto vizualinio įvaizdžio plėtros galimybės ir problemos rengiant Klaipėdos miesto aukštybinių pastatų išdėstymo specialųjį planą (SP). Šio plano metodikai aptarti autorė numatė parengti du straipsnius. Šiame, pirmajame, liečiamos dvi plano rengimo stadijos. Pirmoji – tai esama Klaipėdos miesto būklė, galimybės miesto morfostruktūroje rastis aukštybiniams pastatams; jos aptarimas apima 7 aspektus – miesto teritorijos pagal investicines plėtros galimybes vertinimą; miesto struktūros istorinę raidą; saugomų teritorijų vertybinę hierarchiją; dokumentų sprendinių, turinčių įtakos miestovaizdžių formavimui, analizę; vizualinių ypatumų vertinimą; miesto vizualinio identiteto zonų nustatymą ir svarbiausių masinės apžvalgos taškų bei iš jų matomo vaizdo išklotinių tyrimą ir nustatymą. Antroji plano rengimo stadija – tai aukštybinių pastatų išdėstymo koncepcijos paieškos miesto mastu, centrinės dalies mastu ir senamiesčio mastu.
