Purpose: Limited research has been conducted relating to the use of social media during health and physical education teacher education. The aim of this study was to investigate preservice teachers’ perceptions of the value of using Twitter for health and physical education teacher education. Methods: Preservice teachers completed a qualitatively designed survey. Thematic analyses were conducted via Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software, aligned to self-determination theory. Results: Twitter was perceived to be valuable for the following motivational components: (a) autonomy (choice over professional development, latest ideas, and learning flexibility), (b) relatedness (enhancing communication, tailored collaborations, and receiving practical support), and (c) competence (transferring ideas to classes, increasing technological competence, and keeping ahead of other teachers). Yet there were concerns due to Twitter’s public exposure to undesired Twitter users (relatedness) and how to navigate the platform (competence). Discussion/Conclusions: The study provides guidance to health and physical education teacher education providers on how digital learning via Twitter can meet preservice teachers’ learning needs.

AbstractComputer technology has become an integral part of physical education, yet there have been few studies exploring the use of multimedia technology in the instruction of Physical Education. The purpose of this study was to investigate if multimedia technology affected the learning of basic ballet skills. A total of 32 female students, mean age 18.1 years, studying at the Faculty of Physical Education Zagazig university were divided into two groups. The experimental group comprised 16 students. Participants in this group participated in a ballet class with multimedia technology for six weeks. Group two participated in the ballet class with the traditional method as the control group. Parameters assessed height, weight, age, and academic level. All participants were free of any disorders known to affect performance, such as bone fractures, osteoporosis, diabetes, or cardiovascular disease. Participants reported no use of anti-seizure drugs or alcohol. In addition, all participants were fully informed of the aims of the study, and gave their voluntary consent prior to participation. The measurement procedures were in accordance with ethical human experimentation. All statistical analyses were calculated with the SPSS statistical package. Results indicated significant differences between the two groups in learning the basic skills and levels of knowledge of ballet. Applying the proposed educational program meant using multimedia to teach basic ballet skills to second-year female students enrolled in the Faculty of Physical Education

Due to the practicalness of physical education (PE) teaching, the computer-assisted instruction (CAI) in PE can deepen students’ understanding through vis-ual teaching methods. The purpose of this paper is to study the development and implementation of CAI system in PE. To this end, based on hardware such as campus network and internet, B/S/D three-layer system was adopted in this paper as the system architecture, and ASP.NET technology was used to realize system functions. The research results show that the system is divided into four parts: the teaching resource module, the online Q&A module, the coursework module and the exam module according to the system requirements analysis. Then, taking the system login, teacher module and system test module as examples, the system operation process was designed in detail to achieve its specific functions. This re-search enriches the theoretical and practical research results of CAI system in PE and promotes the reform of physical education teaching mode.

The research aims to provide ideas for improving college students’ physical quality in China. Firstly, the theories of the Delphi method and Computer-Aided Instruction (CAI) are introduced, and the basic process of the Delphi method is deduced. Secondly, the intelligent college Physical Education (PE) is discussed under the Delphi method combined with CAI, and the CAI-added Delphi method-based PE teaching model is proposed. The model verification results show that the proposed model presents an excellent teaching effect by combining intuitive expression and flexible courseware with higher teaching efficiency. As a result, students who have difficulty mastering the essentials of sports actions have shown significant improvement after CAI PE. Meanwhile, the teaching method of CAI is more flexible compared with traditional methods, especially, on-blackboard projection. The proposed teaching model is more vivid and memorable thanks to the video presentations voiced over by teachers. CAI can significantly improve students’ interests in sports and their sports performance. Meanwhile, the CAI PE teaching system is more suitable for theoretical knowledge instruction by replacing the dull teacher-centered word interpretation with vivid and intuitive video presentations voiced over by teachers. Therefore, the proposed CAI-added Delphi method-based PE teaching model has certain feasibility and plays a significant role in promoting PE teaching quality in China.

This paper tries to expound from the structure and characteristics of computer aided system and swimming teaching and training the special nature of the party. The feasibility of the computer aided system technology used in swimming teaching and training of computer aided system applying in the swimming teaching and training are discussed and analyzed.

With the advent of artificial intelligence, computer-aided instruction has developed into intelligent computer-aided instruction. Computer-aided instruction not only overcomes many weaknesses of traditional physical education teaching but also significantly increases the teaching effect and efficiency. This article first studies and analyzes the characteristics of computer-aided instruction systems. Then, we use statistical methods and logical analysis to randomly select two classes of undergraduate students as the experimental and control group, respectively. In the control group, the traditional teaching model was adopted, while the experimental group adopted the computer-aided teaching mode. The experimental group showed significant improvement in physical education as compared to the control group. The results of this study validated that the use of computer-assisted instruction is beneficial in the implementation of physical education programs, mostly in teaching concepts and principles of academic nature.
