A system and method for facilitating a visually impaired person for identifying a person. The method includes the step of storing a plurality of instructions for facilitating the visually impaired person identify the person in front of them by their face and/or voice characteristics by updating our project with Mask Detection using OpenCv and keras. It includes the step of receiving voice signals from the person present in surrounding of the visually impaired person and includes the step of capturing the pictures of a particular person and their surroundings of the visually impaired person and storing the processed data into the database or any storage devices. The data will be processed to AWS server or any local storage for processing and determining the person with the help of the database we already have. After processing and identifying the person with the help of face and voice recognition modules the name is sent to the visually impaired user’s phone in the form of a text message which will be read aloud by his phone’s virtual assistant.

Voice recognition has gained prominence and extensive use with the rise of Artificial Intelligence and that of the intelligent assistants such as Amazon's Alexa, Apple’s Siri and Microsoft's Cortana. Voice recognition systems enable Coders to interact with IDEs, Coding platforms, and tools related to Programming platforms simply by speaking to it. It is also extremely useful for hands free requests, reminders and other simple tasks. In this paper, the researcher has developed a program that simply elevates the use of speech commands to Code efficiently in the Integrated Development Environment and also to handle other related computer activities through the use of a Chat-Bot interface. The researcher has used Microsoft’s Speech Engine for Speech Recognition and Synthesis. This Research can prove immensely beneficial for ‘Visually Impaired Developers’ in the field of Computer Programming by helping them to code and accomplish huge coding possibilities, and challenges before them. This research would prove beneficial with a viewpoint of the concept also called as ‘Distant-Coding’ or ‘Remote-Coding’ in which the programmer can code from a remote place without been present in actual at the Company.

In today's world, communication has become very easy due to integration of communication technologies with internet. However, the visually challenged people find it very difficult to utilize this technology because of the fact that using it requires visual perception. Even though much advancement has been implemented to help them use computers efficiently, no user who is visually challenged can use this technology as efficiently as a normal user since they require some practice for using the available technologies. This project aims at developing an email system that will help even a naïve, visually impaired person to use the services for communication without previous training. The system does not require the use of keyboard. Instead, it will work only on mouse operations and speech. This system can also be used by any normal person, for instance, by someone who is unable to read.

The system will not let the user make use of keyboard instead will work only on mouse operation and speech conversion to text. Also this system can be used by any normal person also for example the one who is not able to read. The system is completely based on interactive voice response which will make it user friendly and efficient to use.

One of the ideal public transportation facilities for the visually impaired in daily activities is trains. To be used at maximum, there is a need for communicative media to support the independence of orientation and mobility for the visually impaired in the train station. The media plays a role in supporting visually impaired individuals to know where they are, where to go, and how to reach the destination. The previous result regarding visually impaired ability to identify pictorial form which is designed with Primadi Tabrani’s ancient visual language semiotic approach shows a great opportunity for a pictogram to be the solution. However, the challenge is how to make the visually impaired person understand the meaning description that has been designed into tactile pictogram by touch. Basic consideration in designing process is the clarity of visual form when being touched, which is influenced by the way the shape is drawn and the tactile height

Collaborative robots are becoming increasingly important for advanced manufacturing processes. The purpose of this paper is to determine the capability of a novel Human-Robot-interface to be used for machine hole drilling. Using a developed voice activation system, environmental factors on speech recognition accuracy are considered. The research investigates the accuracy of a Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients-based feature extraction algorithm which uses Dynamic Time Warping to compare an utterance to a limited, user-dependent dictionary. The developed Speech Recognition method allows for Human-Robot-Interaction using a novel integration method between the voice recognition and robot. The system can be utilised in many manufacturing environments where robot motions can be coupled to voice inputs rather than using time consuming physical interfaces. However, there are limitations to uptake in industries where the volume of background machine noise is high.

The rehabilitation of a visually impaired person (VIP) is a systematic process where the person is provided with tools that allow them to deal with the impairment to achieve personal autonomy and independence, such as training for the use of the long cane as a tool for orientation and mobility (O&M). This process must be trained personally by specialists, leading to a limitation of human, technological and structural resources in some regions, especially those with economical narrow circumstances. A system to obtain information about the motion of the long cane and the leg using low-cost inertial sensors was developed to provide an overview of quantitative parameters such as sweeping coverage and gait analysis, that are currently visually analyzed during rehabilitation. The system was tested with 10 blindfolded volunteers in laboratory conditions following constant contact, two points touch, and three points touch travel techniques. The results indicate that the quantification system is reliable for measuring grip rotation, safety zone, sweeping amplitude and hand position using orientation angles with an accuracy of around 97.62%. However, a new method or an improvement of hardware must be developed to improve gait parameters’ measurements, since the step length measurement presented a mean accuracy of 94.62%. The system requires further development to be used as an aid in the rehabilitation process of the VIP. Now, it is a simple and low-cost technological aid that has the potential to improve the current practice of O&M.
