Education in prison conditions is mostly focused on resocialization. In Poland, imprisonment also aims to educate and motivate people to lead a generally acceptable lifestyle. To achieve this, penitentiary institutions use appropriate educational measures by means of which changes in the personality of the convict are created. One of such methods is the introduction of education. In order to facilitate the selection of the educational content for the school’s didactic and educational tasks, it is necessary to make the inclusion of learning objectives more concrete and operational. By definition, prison schools help convicts in intellectual transformation as well as arousing interests. They are also helpful in building positive personal qualities, deepening competences in the field of ability to behave in difficult situations, etc. Education allows the convict to obtain professional and life maturity, and also teaches competition and teamwork. teamwork. Apart from scientific requirements about choosing appropriate educational content there are also some program concepts such as pedagogical theories about selecting the content of education.

The author has studied the problem of the development of theoretical foundations and methodical tools for conducting job research within the National Police of Ukraine. The author has stated theoretical grounds of creating a profile for the profession of a detective; has revealed the possibilities of using some methods and means of job research for the development of modern profiles of the professions of the system of the National Police of Ukraine. It has been demonstrated that a profile of the profession as a set of parameters characterizing a successful specialist, a professional in a certain field of professional activity, is an important component of the job description. The main component of the profile is the characteristic of psychological peculiarities of professional activity. On the basis of experimental research, the author has formulated the requirements of the profession to the motivational sphere of a specialist, his abilities, temperamental and characterological traits, etc. The main components of the profile of a detective’s profession have been considered. The author has described such structural components of the profile of the profession as general characteristics of the activity, working conditions, negative factors, occupational risk factors, psychological characteristics and professionally important personal qualities of a specialist. The author has provided the demands of the profession to the sensory and perceptual sphere of a detective, general and special abilities, the features of temperament and character, motivation, emotional and volitional qualities. It has been emphasized that comprehensive study of professional police activity based on the development of profiles of the profession is a prerequisite for solving problems related to the efficiency of using personnel potential, optimizing the selection of the most appropriate candidates for the police force, training and retraining of personnel, rationalization of work and reduction of injuries, etc.On the basis of a broad experimental study, the author has established the list of the main professional qualities of a detective of the National Police; has determined the qualitative and quantitative psychological and psychophysiological indicators recommended for the professional activity. The article deals with the activity of the teacher-musician on the choice of educational piano repertoire. Currently, in China, this practice is based almost exclusively on the empirical experience of teachers and is largely random, does not have sufficient methodical support. They use rather standard, so-called basic musical repertoire, especially at the initial level of piano training in the genre of a program play. At the same time, the individuality of the student, his personal qualities, promising musical development, genre and style diversity of works, certain methodological indications for study, motivational readiness are not adequately taken into account. There is an urgent need to expand the children’s piano repertoire in China, primarily through the musical works of composers from other countries, for example, the easy plays of Russian composers of the Soviet and post-Soviet periods. The article shows a specific example of the educational repertoire in children’s educational programs with effective performance of young musicians at concerts. Actions of the teacher-musician at the choice of this or that musical work inevitably actualize personal-creative and reflexive qualities, skills of the methodological analysis. The introduction of young musicians to the performance of music from other eras and national schools, familiarity with different compositional techniques and directions, painstaking individual selection of each play has a pronounced methodological, educational and motivational effect.

AbstractCandidates who wish to undertake Royal Marine recruit training, a physically strenuous course which now extends 32 weeks, must first of all successfully complete a Personal Qualities Assessment (PQA) and four psychomotor tests (Naval Recruiting Tests or RTs) before attending a three-day selection course at the Commando Training Centre, Lympstone, where their Physical capabilities are tested to the full. The effectiveness of theses procedures was untested until the Institute of Naval Medicine conducted a retrospective study during 1999-2000 from which the present study is taken.Data from 1232 recruits were examined to explore the relationship between the outcome of Commando training (pass or fail) with these various selection measures. Estimated aerobic power, time to complete the assault course and age were associated with outcome, as were PQA, RTs 1, 3, 4 and total RT score. A regression equation comprising aerobic fitness, assault course time, RT4 and age gave the best overall prediction of outcome (64%). It is suggested that this mathematical approach provides a scientifically valid and objective assessment tool for future selection strategies.

AbstractClassroom simulations can make a significant contribution to learning outcomes in political science courses, provided that they are firmly linked to course content and learning objectives. This article offers a step-by-step decision framework for instructors seeking to use simulations as a core component of their courses, including selection of an exercise, pre-simulation preparation, instructor role during a simulation, and techniques for debriefing after the exercise. Options such as online and face-to-face, synchronous and asynchronous, distributed and single classroom, and individual and team formats are compared, with a focus on their associated learning outcomes.

The paper analyzes methodological foundations for selection of educational content about the structure and life of protozoa in the university course Zoology while training bachelors of Pedagogical education majoring in Biology and Chemistry. The authors test the hypothesis that the methodological foundations of the study of protozoa are the achievements of biological sciences, as well as formulated methodological constructs based on the recognition of ecological and evolutionary approaches. General scientific methods of theoretical knowledge as well as methods used at the empirical and theoretical levels of knowledge were used as research methods. The methodological foundations for selecting the educational content about the structure and life of protozoa in the university course Zoology are: general properties of living organisms, levels of life organization, ideas of development and structure, an ecological-evolutionary approach, description of co-evolutionary processes and the role of cognitive models. The belonging of unicellular organisms to the cellular level of life organization does not prevent their description taking into account the structural-functional approach with the substantiation of a close connection between the vital processes of unicellular and multicellular organisms. Methodological attitudes operating in biological knowledge are associated with an orientation towards the idea of development and organization. The study of unicellular organisms biology taking into account the above ideas is guided by ecological and evolutionary aspects. The formulated approach is important from a practical and theoretical point of view. The aspects of the practical application of knowledge about the biology of protozoa include, for example, the study of their role in the life of the biosphere. Evolutionary aspects in the description of protozoa are realized at the phylogenetic and ontogenetic levels.
