The article presents a method of calculating the parameters of the scraper working equipment of a trench excavator that performs critical depth cutting: critical depth for its cutters, number of cutting lines, pitch of cutters, height of scrapers, cutting speed, working speed, length of plowshares of cutters, necessary effort of cutting of soil, power to drive the working equipment and movement, power selection of the base machine. Methodology/approach. To solve these problems, analytical methods were used to study the parameters of multi-scraper excavators that perform critical depth cutting of soils. Findings. The developed technique allows to create energy-efficient working equipment and to determine its critical-depth modes of operation, which make it possible to increase productivity and reduce the energy consumption of multi-scraper chain trench excavators that carry out blocked cutting of soils. Research limitations/implication. The initial data for the calculation are: the width of the cutters, their cutting angle, the maximum depth of the trench, the width of the trench, the physical and mechanical characteristics of the soil. Originality/value. Managed to achieve the prerequisites for reducing the energy intensity of soil development scraper chain excavators based on critical depth cutting of soils.

Experimental studies were performed and the dependences of the influence of thermal and material fields on the change in the following physical and mechanical characteristics of the chalk were established: density, the ultimate compressive strength, ultimate tensile strength, ultimate shear strength, elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio, and stickiness. The geomechanical and energy criteria characterizing the chalk workability are calculated: the coefficient of hardness, the indicator of the difficulty of rock destruction, the indicator of the difficulty of rock excavation, the energy intensity of digging and rock destruction. A classification of chalk by workability was developed, in which 5 categories of rocks are distinguished: I -soft chalk, of very low strength; II - dense semi-solid chalk, low strength; III - solid dense chalk of increased strength; IV - solid strong chalk; V - rocky chalk

The article is devoted to the characteristics of foam concrete with the application of nanostructured binder (NB) on the basis is amorphous aluminosilicate rocks. The optimal technological parameters of the production of nanostructured perlite binder (NPB) were stated. The selection of foam generating agents was accomplished and mechanisms of formation of cellular composites on the basis of NPB were studied. Physical and mechanical characteristics of the obtained material were determined.

Introduction. Methodological approaches and validation of the emergence of a new transdisciplinary area -geonics, which is considered as the art of applying knowledge of the inorganic world, are presented.Materials and methods. The concept of technogenic metasomatism as a stage in the evolution of building materials, characterized by the adaptation of the composite to changing conditions is formulated. The Law of affinity of structures, which consists in the selection of raw materials for a composite with similar physical and mechanical characteristics, is described.Results. The examples of non-traditional raw materials use in the areas of construction materials science (intelligent composites, restoration mixtures) and architecture (the building of the Belarusian Potash Company in Belarus, the 'Reflection of the mineral’ building in Japan, the design concept of the monument to the Kursk magnetic anomaly) are presented.Discussion and conclusions. It is proved that the development of a transdisciplinary approach to geonics will improve the comfort of human stay in the environment.

The problem of increasing the bearing capacity of the base is an relevant problem in modern geotechnical construction. When significant loads are transmitted to the base, the use of traditional technologies is not always justified. Often there is an urgent need to use non-standard ways to strengthen the bases. In many cases, the geotechnical situation is aggravated by the presence of weak underlying layers with unstable physical and mechanical characteristics in engineering-geological sections. When strengthening such bases with the help of traditional piles, the latter can get negative friction, which significantly reduces their bearing capacity on the ground, sometimes reaching zero values. This may lead to additional precipitations of the objects being constructed and constructed in the zone of geotechnical influence. The use of ERT piles in most cases successfully solves many complex geotechnical problems.

Rice being a staple food crop of Kashmir valley, the focus is on enhancement of yield in order to meet the needs of ever-growing population.Identification of new parental lines is crucial for developing ecology-specific hybrids with ideal agronomic performance. Exploitation of heterosis in the form of hybrid rice technology can be one of the approaches to increase productivity in this crop, especially exploiting diversity among japonica lines can serve as an excellent route.A number of CMS lines suitable formountainous areas of Kashmir have been developed, however, the availability of promising restorer lines remains to be the major limitation for utilization of these lines.Identification of potential restorers acts as the main limiting factor for hybrid development in the Kashmir valley. Marker based screening for Rf3 and Rf4 fertility restorer genes can be helpful in rapid selection of restorer lines while dealing with the large quantity of genetic materials. In the present study, 100 rice germplasm were screened with the help of SSR markers, RM3148 and RM6100linked to Rf3 and Rf4 genes on chromosome 1 and 10, respectively. In total, 19 lines revealed the presence of both Rf3 and Rf4 genes. These lines amplified fertility restorer specific alleles for both the genes and may serve as potential restorers for obtaining heterotic rice hybrids. Further the germplasm lines were also evaluated for yield and quality traits.The present results would help in selection of suitable restorers along with preferred grain shape/size.

The paper gives a methodology for calculating the drill string performance under off-design conditions, including the passage through the interface separating rocks with very different physico-mechanical characteristics, drilling of boulder rocks, and dynamic modes of operation. One of the mechanisms of the destruction of drill string elements and roller cutters is revealed.

The paper considers possibilities of using a hybrid fabric made of high-modulus carbon yarn brand ZhGV and high-strength aramid yarns brand Rusar-NT for polymer composites reinforcement. The results of studies of the physical and mechanical characteristics of hybrid composite material and values of the implementation of the strength and elasticity carbon fibers and aramid module for composite material are presented.
