- Water will be a basic problem in the future of the world. At the moment in Italy the main problem lies in water reserve reductions facing a growing demand, while for drinkable water more and more administrator authorities are facing a budget deficit. The causes of this national and local situation are the administrative monopoly and the absence of planning and coordination policies, that would rationalize water use without rationing it, starting from an awareness of the costs of different involved variables. The economic quality of spring and consumption water, the oldness of the waterworks and pipe networks, the extreme fragmentation of waterworks (often of minimal dimension), their territorial localisation, the absence of a common method of charges, the scanty use of analysis of management, are some of the causes of a unique and surprising variability of costs, proceeds and tariffs. This paper analyzes the generation and the structure of the costs of drinkable water in an area representative of many national characteristics on the environmental, physic and socio-economic level. The quest for more efficient forms of management and for a more transparent determination of the tariffs has been carried on through the use of custom indexes of productivity and of production. These indexes summarise the existence of scale economies, of pipe network related diseconomies, and of economies of localisation and density of the consumers. The paper presents a synthesis of the observations gathered from about two hundred waterworks subdivided by owner and entrepreneurial typologies

The article considers the problem of ensuring the availability and integrity of wireless subscribers in cellular and other wireless corporate networks. The article aims to determine the threshold values for the moment of failure of video transmission, quantitative parameters, artifacts, and the number of errors for the image. Show the dependence of the integrity of data transmitted in real-time on the characteristics of the environment. Two approaches were used to assess the quality of video information: qualitative (image recognition assessment) and quantitative (error measurement). Because the research program was written in the Kotlin programming language, a library written in Java or Kotlin was required. After searching the library, it turned out that only three libraries meet such parameters as reliability, relevance, and availability of documentation: Jaffree, Xuggler, and VLCJ. After gathering information, it was found that the most common screen extensions for desktops are 1366 × 768 and for phones—360 × 640. An error occurred that RTP did not support more than one connection. Also, the RTSP protocol could not pass the experiment on codecs other than MP4V. The experiment stopped earlier than necessary without error. Judging by the indicators, this was a very high CPU load. All other protocols were successfully tested, and results were obtained. During the experiments, we encountered various video anomalies. The worst was the video playback problem with the MJPG codec. Other anomalies were also identified: frame delay, incorrect frame rendering, white noise, and white noise mixed with frames. It is clear how up to 128 kbps experiments are successful and then begin to stop the video stream without error information. According to the results of experiments, the H.264 codec performs best.

Galvanizing technological operations include the processes of cleaning the surfaces of parts from burrs, burrs, bumps and scale, corrosion products, rounding of sharp edges, separation of parts from castings, as well as processes to improve the quality of product surfaces: grinding or polishing. These technological operations are implemented using different types of equipment: vibrating, rotary and spindle machines, rotating drums, etc. The most promising are considered to be machines with complex spatial movement of working tanks. Analytical researches of definition of dynamic moment of resistance of a driving shaft of the shredding machine on the basis of laws of movement of loose mass in the middle of working capacity are carried out. The positions of the moving parts of the machine and the bulk array in the middle of the tank, which correspond to the maximum dynamic component of the moment of resistance on the drive shaft created by the bulk array loaded to the working tank. An expression is obtained to calculate the value of the dynamic component of the moment of resistance on the drive shaft of the machine, created by the bulk array loaded to the working tank. The obtained research results can be used by the relevant machine-building enterprises at the stage of designing galvanizing types of equipment with tanks performing complex spatial motion.

One of the priority research vectors in the food industry is the development of fish culinary products with specified properties considering the modern require-ments of nutrition science, consumer taste preferences, traditions and national characteristics. In conditionsof high competition, consumer evaluation of or-ganoleptic indicators plays a crucial role in the product promotion and sales. The authors conducted quality organoleptic research of cold appetizers made of carp muscle tissue in the form of a roll, and also considered a descriptive organoleptic analysis method used in the score scale development for evaluating the fish culi-nary products quality. The study used common and special methods. The re-searchers defined nomenclature of indicators, calculated the weight and gradation coefficients of the cold fish snacks quality depending on the number of points scored. The article concerns possibilities of tasting analysis in identifying the ana-log products strengths and weaknesses. The authors developed and tested five-point scale organoleptic evaluation of the quality of cold fish snacks in the roll form using both traditional and new structure-forming agent – gelatin of animal and fish origin. There is a regular decrease in the score for identified nonconform-ities, and organoleptic quality indicators of new products. A man run quantita-tive quality assessment of the developed products and supplemented quantitative organoleptic properties determination of cold fish snacks by a sensory profile.

The quality of grass samples used for animal feed by combining mycotoxin measures and mycological determination of mycobiota were explored. The samples of the plant material were collected in 2014 in two stages: before the first mowing (May–June) and before the second one (July–August) from the fields of stock-farms located in northwestern part of the Russia. All samples were divided into three types: grasses, mixture of different grasses and clover, alfalfa mixed with timothy. The occurrence of aflatoxin B1, alternariol, citrinin, cyclopiazonic acid, deoxynivalenol, diacetoxyscirpenol, emodin, ergot alkaloids, fumonisins, mycophenolic acid, ochratoxin A, PR-toxin, roridin A, sterigmatocystin, T-2 toxin, and zearalenone were determined using ELISA. The multiple fungal and mycotoxin contaminations are already formed in plant tissues by the moment of first mowing. The complexes of mycotoxins including up to 14–16 components and the combined character of plant contamination quite correspond to the taxonomic variety of mycobiota.

In the design of hydraulic engineering works, the estimation of project precipitation is fundamental. Rain forecasting depends on several factors, which makes estimating it simpler with stochastic processes. In this sense, the distributions of Gumbel (GUM), Log-Normal two-parameter (LN2P), Generalized Extreme Value (GEV), Fréchet with two and three parameters (FRE2P and FRE3P), Weibull with two and three parameters (W2P and W3P), Gamma (GAM2P), and Pareto with two and three parameters (PAR2P and PAR3P) were evaluated to the annual maximum daily precipitation (AMDP) adjustment in the city of Caruaru (Pernambuco´s Agreste). A series of AMDP was used, based on data obtained from the National Water Agency (Agência Nacional de Águas - ANA). Anderson Darling (AD), Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS) and Pearson Chi-square (χ2) adherence tests, and the determination coefficient (R²) were used to assess the adherence quality of the distributions. The Likelihood Method presented a better fit quality than the Moment Method. The GEV distribution obtained the best results for the AD test in both methods to estimate the parameters. Among the adherence tests used, the AD test was considered the most restrictive. To verify the quality parameters’ fitness to the IDF relations, the Willmott performance coefficient was used. For all distributions employed in this study, Willmott performance coefficients presented values above 0.99, giving a perfect fit of IDF relations with determination coefficients close to 1.0.

The article focuses on examining the influence of fluctuations in annual precipitation amount on the quality of surface waters. Water quality was estimated with data on BOD, COD and phosphate–ion concentration within five selected regions of Ukraine. Analysis of the precipitation data (1991 – 2010) showed different regional trends. Using the statistics, determination of the interconnection between precipitation amount and water resources quality were done. The obtained regularities and associated uncertainties can be used for prediction of changes in water resource quality and as a guide for future adaptation to possible climate change.
