Additives’ research remains relevant to many oil companies for this day. The dynamically developing market of lubricants requires the search for promising products for their production and the preparation of new compositions. In the last decade the strategic context for domestic oil refining has been the development of its own additives, compositions and packages of additives. The article discusses the trend of the selection of promising products based on a compound, which is the basis for the synthesis of multifunctional additives.

The paper analyzes the consequences of the abolition of the export duty on oil and oil products as a necessary step to stimulate energy efficiency of Russia’s economy and eliminate underdevelopment provoked by a long-term subsidizing of inefficient oil refining sector in Russia. The calculation results have shown that even taking into account several deviations from the planned scenarios of changing the parameters of tax regulation of the oil industry in 2014— 2019, the tax maneuver brought over 3.5 trillion rubles (in 2019 — 148 billion rubles) to the state budget in 2014—2017, mainly due to an increase in the base mineral extraction tax rate, and contributed to an increase in the depth of oil refining from 72% to 85%. In addition, the article analyzes possible risks associated with the current plan for reforming the taxation of the industry until 2024 and proposes an alternative that could level some of them. A comparative analysis of the effects of the tax maneuver under the current reform plan and the alternative variant suggests that the latter will allow to achieve a greater total budgetary effect in four years, reduce the cost of subsidizing domestic oil refining, increase the efficiency of Russian vertically integrated oil companies, and reduce the growth rate of oil products prices in the retail market.

This paper deals with the application and selection of diesel engines for marine propulsion and auxiliary purposes with particular reference to the special requirements for naval applications. Details are given of the various means that have been developed for dealing with airborne and structure-borne noise, for reducing the effects of external shock, and for checking the quality of lubricating oils during service. Automatic control and protection equipments, including fluidic, are described and the paper finally deals with the means adopted to improve reliability and to reduce maintenance.

The results of experimental investigations on electrorheological (ER) properties of lubricating oils which contain ionic liquids, are presented in this article. The investigations were carried out on the special stand which was projected for this aim. On this stand there was used the modified Brookfield viscosimeter. Electrorheological properties of two mixtures were tested, i.e., silicone damping liquid GP-1 which is polimethylsiloksane mixture containing 2% (v/v) of ionic liquid CJ 001, i.e., tetrafluoroboran 1-methyl-3-octyloxymethylimidazolium as well as base polialfaolefine oil PAO-6 which contains 2% (v/v) of ionic liquid CJ 008, i.e., trihexyltetradecylphosphonium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide. Selection of components of both mixtures was based on the results of investigations of miscible and on evaluation of basic phys-chem properties. The investigations showed that the made mixtures have generated the ER effect, but it was short-lived effect, suggesting the changes of inner structure of these mixtures. Therefore, we have planned the next investigations, among others dielectric spectroscopy and microscope observations in situ of these mixtures in external electric fields. The aim of those investigations will be to record the fading ER effect and to understand this mechanism. Keywords: electrorheological effect, homogenous mixtures, lubricants, ionic liquids

AbstractThe Petroleum sector is one of the largest and most comprehensive in the world market. And it is growing every year with new technologies and new innovation perspectives. This research involves the following objectives: to present a brief history of the origin of oil and its development over the years; to present an analysis of the oil sector, indicating the main countries which own the largest reserves and the largest oil companies in the world; and a patent analysis showing the annual number of patent documents in the respective area in a given period, the areas of technological focus and the companies that place more patent documents in this sector in Brazil. The research method consisted in the selection of articles which made it possible to put the history of oil into context and also in the selection of statistical data that would indicate it's evolution through charts and graphs that show the production and development over the years. It was deemed necessary and important to analyze the Derwent Innovation Index database, as it allowed the utilization of patent documents as a source of information, inasmuch as they register technological breakthroughs. With the establishment of a search strategy in the 1994-2013 period it was possible to highlight Procter & Gamble, an American company, as the company that places more patent documents within this area in Brazil. As for the recent discoveries of oil reserves in Brazil and in other countries the trend is that the area be strengthened by implementing their technologies and increasing their productive reserves making them stand out more and more worldwide.KeywordsInnovation. This article presents an overview of promising catalysts, the selection of the most effective, calculated the economic effect of the introduction of a new catalyst. The selection of catalysts providing stability of operation and high rate of oxidation of hydrogen and methane flowing in the reactor P 2 of the helium fine purification unit of helium production from helium concentrate was made. To ensure the technological process in the production of chemical, gas processing and oil refining enterprises, catalysts of different modifications and types of both domestic and imported production are used. For stable operation and high oxidation rate of hydrogen and methane flowing in the reactor P-2 of the helium fine purification unit-22 of the Orenburg helium plant, the AP-56 aluminum-platinum catalyst is used. The catalyst AP-56 participating in oxidation processes in connection with the improvement of the technological process does not meet the standards established in the technological regulations, including an increase in hydrogen concentrations, and this in turn worsens the quality of gasoline fractions, in addition, the catalyst AP-56 is promoted by chlorine, which contributes to the development of corrosion on heat exchange equipment located after the reactor. The above circumstances forced manufacturers to reduce the production of aluminum-platinum catalyst AP-56. The most productive among the units of fine cleaning plant, which includes 3 similar compartments with a capacity of up to 400 Nm3/h for raw materials, is considered. To confirm of the selected catalysts on existing equipment and for implementation, the technological calculations of the catalytic purification unit were made, and the main indicators of the process were determined.
