Teachers’ intention to use technology is a major factor in its effective use in learning including in developing countries. This research empirically investigated on factors that influence Pre-Service Science Teachers’ (PSSTs) intention to use Web 2.0 in learning through Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in Indonesia. The goals of the research were to (a) report if the TAM is a valid and reliable model to explain PSSTs intention to use Web 2.0, and (b) inform the factors of PSSTs’ intention to use Web 2.0 in learning. Seven hundred and five PSSTs from five universities completed a 24-item online questionnaire based on the TAM constructs comprising perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, subjective norm, facilitating conditions, attitudes, and intention to use Web 2.0. Results obtained using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) informed that (a) facilitating condition and subjective norm significantly influenced perceived ease of use; (b) subjective norm significantly affected perceived usefulness; (c) both perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness was a significant factor predicting attitude; and (d) attitude, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness significantly influenced intention to use Web 2.0. Overall, the TAM is a valid model to help explain Indonesian PSSTs’ intention to use Web 2.0 in learning. Keywords: Web 2.0, technology acceptance model, pre-service science teachers.

This study investigates the factors that affect the user’s intention to use dashcam in Malaysia. This study examines the quantitative relationship of intrinsic as well as extrinsic factors such as personal innovativeness, perceived uniqueness, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude, perceived behavioral control, social influence, price value, and trust to the purchase intention of dashcam. Purposive sampling technique was employed to collect responses from 232 respondents based on two criteria: first, individuals who have experienced driving on the road and have a car; and second, individuals who not yet adopt or purchase the dashcam. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS (version 3.3.2). No relationship between personal innovativeness and perceived usefulness was found, in contrast to a significant relationship the former and perceived ease of use. Furthermore, perceived uniqueness was found significant to both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Consistent with the literature, both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were identified as factors influencing attitude. However, perceived usefulness did not affect intention. Perceived behavioral control, social influence, attitude, and trust significantly affected the behavioral intention to use the dashcam in Malaysia. This study attempts to integrate and adapt two technology adoption models, namely the Combined Technology Acceptance Model and Theory Planned Behavior and extension of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, also extends the model with personal innovativeness, perceived uniqueness, and trust to fulfil the study’s objectives as well.

BACKGROUND Unbalanced distribution of medical resources is becoming a big challenge, particularly in selecting doctors. E-consultation could provide patients with more choices of doctors and break out the constraints of time and space. But the acceptance of e-consultation is still poor and the mechanism of adoption is unclear. OBJECTIVE This study aims to identify the factors influencing the public intention to use e-consultation and explore the effect path of factors and behavior intention. METHODS The hypotheses of our research model were developed based on technology acceptance model and perceived risk theory. A Web-based survey was conducted by a electric questionnaire collection platform and the 29 items questionnaire with 5-point Likert scales were completed by 934 respondents. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data. Item evaluation and reliability, validity, path loading, goodness of fit, and multiple-group analysis were used to check moderation effects. RESULTS Standardized factor loadings of items were between 0.551 and 0.873. Composite reliability of 9 constructs ranged from 0.706 to 0.840. Average variance extracted ranged from 0.387 to 0.640. The fitness indices showed that the collected data fitted well with the research model. Perceived usefulness was the strongest positive factor effecting behavior intention (β=0.399, P<.001). Perceived ease of use had a positive effect on behavior intention but it is not statistically significant (β=0.117, P=.066), and had a positive effect on perceived usefulness (β=0.537, P<.001). Perceived risk could be well explained by financial risk (β=0.972, P<.001), privacy risk (β=0.774, P<.001), social risk (β=0.871, P<.001), time risk (β=0.894, P<0.001), and psychological risk (β=0.774, P<.001). Perceived risk had negative effects on perceived usefulness (β=-0.375, P<.001) and behavior intention (β=-0.297, P<.001). Personal innovativeness had a positive influence on perceived ease of use (β=0.241, P<.001) and a slight effect on behavior intention (β=0.124, P=.001). Age(χ2=133.457, P<.001) and usage experience(χ2=82.495, P=.019) had a slight moderation effect on the paths. CONCLUSIONS Perceived usefulness and perceived risk have significant effects on public intention to use e-consultation. Therefore, platform and manufacturer must improve the function of e-consultation, which will promote the public intention to use e-consultation fundamentally. In order to control the perceived risk of public, government should play an important role in enforcing management of e-consultation markets and approving corresponding medical insurance policies. Besides, personal innovativeness had an effect on behavior intention. And the paths of factors had some heterogeneity among different characteristic people. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the strategies to fit more groups better. CLINICALTRIAL
