Although there is a major challenge for international business to successfully adapt various cultures and their influence on the everyday operations of businesses. Such aptness needs to comprehend culture, cultural variety, opinions, stereotypes and values. Culture directs the way human beings act and conduct themselves in certain situations in life. It also explicates the way people from time to time treat others or talk about others. Consequently, culture in this circumstances is understood by a distinct set of people through its ideas, values, and traditions. These are the ideas, values, aspirations and traditions formed overtime by organisations that justified them to label it as ‘organizational culture’. This study made an analysis on the dissimilarities between national culture and organizational culture and discovered that Management under no circumstances can change a national culture, it can only know and utilize it. Whereas management can construct and occasionally change an organizational culture. Therefore, national culture dissimilarities exist more in values than in practices whilst organizational culture dissimilarities exist more in practices than in values.

<p>This paper examines the merging of cultures at Honda of America Manufacturing at Marysville, Ohio in light of academic studies of international business and organizational behavior. At the heart of this review are studies of organizational behavior and personnel management revolving around national culture, organizational culture and occupational culture. Competing theories are explained. Application to the case of Honda of America Manufacturing provides a means of reviewing the academic discussion in a business environment where national cultures are merged.</p>

Among the weakness of human resources in Islam is rooted on the way Muslims perceived knowledge. Within the everyday life of Muslims, there are some branches of knowledge that are considered as less important. Furthermore, some conservative Muslims even see those less important knowledge as prohibited to be learnt based on Westerners domination of those knowledge and ignore the use of those knowledge for human beings. This model of perceiving knowledge has serious impact on individual as well as Muslim as the whole ummah in leading the development of knowledge in the world. This article tries to correct or at least to give a contribution in building opinion in order to provide more suitable perspective of Islam in perceiving knowledge. By employing Islam as a framework to portray the development of science in Islam is necessary in order to create awareness among Muslims on the necessity of acquiring and developing knowledge for the sake of better life for all human beings

The rise of e-commerce has brought considerable changes to the relationship between firms and consumers, especially within international business. Hence, understanding the use of such means for entering foreign markets has become critical for companies. However, the research on this issue is new and so it is important to evaluate what has been studied in the past. In this study, we conduct a systematic review of e-commerce and internationalisation studies to explicate how firms use e-commerce to enter new markets and to export. The studies are classified by theories and methods used in the literature. Moreover, we draw upon the internationalisation decision process (antecedents-modalities-consequences) to propose an integrative framework for understanding the role of e-commerce in internationalisation

RESUMENEl objetivo de este artículo es el de analizar el concepto “desempeño exportador”, concepto muy usado en la literatura relacionada con los negocios internacionales, a los efectos de aportar a su conceptualización y medición. Para ello, se efectúa una amplia revisión de la literatura y se analizan los avances realizados por los investigadores a los efectos de aportar a las dimensiones y formas de medir este concepto. Se concluye que se trata de un concepto en el cual siguen existiendo diversos enfoques, aunque existen avances importantes en la forma de operacionalizar el desempeño exportador.Palabras clave: conceptualización, desempeño exportador, negocios internacionales.Conceptualization of export performance: analysis of developments in the literature of international business ABSTRACTThe aim of this paper is to analyze the concept of "export performance" concept very use in the literature of international business, in order to contribute to its conceptualization and measurement. For this, a comprehensive literature review is performed and the progress made by researchers to contribute to the dimensions and ways of measuring this concept is discussed. Chapter 7 explains why NATO’s institutional memory continues to develop in the way that it does – despite formal learning processes being underutilized. Findings in this chapter draw on the author’s survey-based interviews with 120 NATO elites. The chapter begins by arguing that NATO’s organizational culture locks-in elites’ preference for relying on informal processes and avoiding formal processes. Key characteristics of NATO’s culture posed challenges for identifying and reporting strategic errors. The organization’s norm of consensus made formal agreements on past strategic errors difficult. Moreover, NATO’s focus on reaction over retrospection and a broader culture of blame aversion provided elites with little incentive to break the tradition of reliance on informal processes for memory development. Elites described feeling continuous pressure to react to the crisis at hand and treat past crises as unique – leaving little reason to invest in learning from past failures.

This introductory chapter outlines where and how this book contributes original research to the existing scholarship on politics of rentier states in the Arabian Peninsula, as well as the academic work on political Islam through a brief literature review. This book will demonstrate that political Islam serves as a prominent voice critiquing social policies, as well as promoting more strictly political, and often populist or reformist, views supported by a great many Gulf citizens. As laid out in this chapter, this book demonstrates that the way that Islamist organizations operate in the unique environment of the super-rentiers is distinct. It also presents information about the methodology and sources used, as well as a detailed explanation for the use of country cases chosen. The chapter closes by describing the format of the book.

This chapter considers shame in its major varieties and shows that each of these kinds of shame has a defeat in the atonement of Christ. It then considers guilt in all its elements, including the brokenness in the psyche of the wrongdoer and the bad effects on the world resulting from his wrongdoing, and it shows that, on the interpretation of the doctrine of the atonement argued for in this book, the atonement can remedy all human guilt. Consequently, through the atonement of Christ, a person in grace is freed from guilt and reconciled with God and with other human beings as well, and his guilt is defeated in his flourishing. On this interpretation of the doctrine, one can see the way in which the atonement of Christ makes sense as a solution to the main problem that the atonement was meant to remedy.

Law is not a natural kind, but is instead an artifact. Like all artifacts, the artifact of law is created by human beings. But what human beings create can be re-created, and thus the artifact that is law is always open to modification or revision. And if law is open to modification or revision, then so too is our concept of it. This chapter explores the way in which one form of jurisprudential scholarship is that which seeks not to identify what our concept of law now is, but, rather, what our concept of law ought to be, in light of any number of moral or pragmatic goals.
