Currently, small and medium enterprises that are family businesses (SMEFs) assume an important role in the global economy. Further, innovation and flexibility became vital to firms' survival and prosperity in the market during these volatile times. Firms should not only possess critical resources, but also be able to recombine them. Characterized by resource restrictions, SMEFs can rely on dynamic capabilities to access resources and be competitive in the market. In this regard, networking capabilities (NC) and resource combinations (RC) such as exploitative and explorative product development and on market-related capabilities emerge as key dynamic capabilities. This chapter examines the role of Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) on NC and RC. Using a qualitative method of in-depth case study, the chapter analyzes 12 Portuguese SMEFs.

There is no doubt that nowadays internationalization is increasingly attractive for companies that want to become more competitive. However, many small and medium enterprises (SMEs) still are resource-constrained, lacking adequate information and facing problems to establish and manage relationships to operate in a sustainable way in international markets. Despite receiving some support from governments and from other institutional entities, these difficulties faced by SMEs call for a stronger support, which can be played by industrial enterprises associations (IEAs). This chapter brings the perspective of five different companies that are associated with IEAs. The main objective is to have their opinion about the role of IEAs as information managers and promoters of collaborations, mainly for internationalization processes. Another objective is to understand the acceptance by these companies regarding the use of collaborative platforms, managed by IEAs, for supporting their information and collaboration management activities.

This study aims to analyze the procedure for granting people's business credit (KUR) to Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI). The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a type of descriptive research. The data obtained in this study uses research instruments, namely through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Interviews were conducted with the Micro and Small Director of Bank BRI, debtor representatives and prospective debtors, as well as Bank Indonesia Representative Credit Section Bandung. Data collected from several sources carried out credibility testing with data triangulation — data analysis techniques used with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the provision of people's business loans to Bank BRI through several stages, namely the stages of credit administration, credit documentation, credit approval, credit processing. The level of Non-Performing Loans (NPL) of BRI KUR shows a fairly large number of 2.31%, but among other KUR executing banks BRI's NPL is the smallest. The high level of NPL is because there are several factors, including: (1) wrong perceptions among Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) actors regarding the source of funds in KUR distribution; (2) changes in the character of the debtor; and (3) the account officer section conducts a subjective analysis because there are certain relationships with prospective debtors Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis prosedur pemberian kredit usaha rakyat (KUR) pada Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI).
