Este artigo teve por objetivo demonstrar os problemas em relação à avaliação e seleção de fornecedores na Construtora XYZ localizada na cidade de Porto Alegre - RS, propondo algumas melhorias para a condução da avaliação e seleção de fornecedores. Tratou-se de um estudo de caso com bases de pesquisa exploratória e qualitativa. A amostra foi composta por três funcionários, sendo o Gestor de Suprimentos, o Analista de Compras e o Engenheiro de Obras. A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio de entrevistas em profundidade, com o objetivo de registrar as impressões desses profissionais acerca da avaliação e seleção de fornecedores. O artigo apontou falhas em relação aos critérios de seleção de fornecedores e no processo de avaliação de desempenho. As propostas de melhoria pontuaram segurança (procedência dos produtos ou serviços e dos atores), prazo (cumprimento de acordos em relação ao prazo de fornecimento), qualidade (composição dos materiais) e documentação (estabelecimento legal de laudos técnicos e legislação trabalhista). Este trabalho não tem como finalidade encerrar as discussões acerca da avaliação de desempenho de fornecedores, mas instigar a reflexão da temática para futuros estudos.Palavras-Chave: Seleção. Fornecedores. Abstract: The objective of this article is to demonstrate the problems regarding the evaluation and selection of suppliers of the XYZ Construction Company located in the city of Porto Alegre, RS, proposing some improvements for the evaluation and selection of suppliers. It was a case study with exploratory and qualitative research bases. The sample consisted of three employees, being the Supply Manager, the Purchasing Analyst and the Construction Engineer. The data collection took place through in-depth interviews, to record the impressions of these professionals on the evaluation and selection of suppliers. The article pointed out flaws in relation to supplier selection criteria and in the performance evaluation process. The improvement proposals highlighted the safety (origin of products or services and actors), deadline (compliance with deadlines), quality (composition of materials) and documentation (legal establishment of technical reports and labor legislation). This work does not aim to close the discussions about the performance evaluation of the suppliers, but to instigate the reflection of the theme for future studies.Keywords: Selection. This article aims to encourage the interdisciplinary study of ‘languaculture,’ an approach to language and culture in which ideology, linguistic and cultural forms, as well as praxis are studied in relation to one another. An integrated analysis of the selection of linguistic and cultural elements provides insight into how these choices arise from internalized norms and values, and how people position themselves toward received categories and hegemonic ideologies. An interdisciplinary approach will stimulate a rethinking of established concepts and methods of research. It will also lead to a mutual strengthening of linguistic, sociolinguistic, and anthropological research. This contribution focuses on Limburg and the linguistic political context of this Southern-Netherlands region where people are strongly aware of their linguistic distinctiveness. The argument of the paper is based on a case study of languaculture, viz. the carnivalesque song ‘Naar Talia’ (To Italy) by the Getske Boys from the city of Heerlen.

People in Jambi city assume that Pasar Hong Kong, a traditional market located in Jelutung sub-district, is “a Chinese market”, even some areas in the city of Jambi such as Jelutung, Koni, and Talang Banjar are dominated by the ethnic of Chinese. This research aims to explore how social inequality that occurs due to the advantages and disadvantages of an ethnic group so that it can affect individual attitudes that damage social capital. This research uses a case study approach with in-depth interviews and literature study as data collection techniques. The subjects of this study were ethnic Malay and Chinese female merchants in Pasar Hong Kong, Jambi city, Indonesia. This research found that social inequalities that occur among the female merchants of ethnic Malay and Chinese in Pasar Hongkong occur naturally, where both merchants and buyers have a high tolerance when interacting. Although sometimes there are differences in attitude when the merchants serve different ethnic buyers. The involvement of traditional leaders in managing social inequalities is very important due to the lack of assimilation among ethnic Malay and Chinese.

Under the ministerial regulation no 21/2016 the payment of JKN service to the FKTP used capitation payment system. The payment given to the primary care is in the form of health service payment (minimum 60%). The allocation is based on types of workforce (profession, administrative tasks, person in charge of programs, and years of service) and attendance. This study investigates the possibility of adding employee performance as a variable in giving health service point for employees at FKTP Puskesmas. This study is a qualitative study in nature using case study design. The data were collected through in-depth interviews, focus group discussion, and triangulation. Incentive payment increases the employee performance at work. The amount of incentives should line up with the employees performances. Incentives will not be effective if they are fixed and do not count the employees performances. In the ministerial regulation no 21/2016, healthcare service is not included as a variable in employee performance evaluation. The head of FKTP Puskesmas can use the results of employee performance evaluation to determine the amount of incentives received. One of the ways to improve employee performance is through reward and punishment system. Employee performance in Puskesmas can be increased by adding work performance evaluation as a variable capitation payment of BPJS Kesehatan to Puskesmas based on ministerial regulation (Permenkes) no 21/ 2016.

Refugee resettlement is implemented by many different national and international stakeholders who operate in different locations and on the basis of sometimes diverging objectives. The implementation of the resettlement process has thus been characterized as multi-level governance, with resettlement stakeholders coordinating and negotiating the selection of refugees for resettlement. Still, literature on the implementation of refugee resettlement has remained very limited and has mainly focused on one specific stakeholder or stage of the process. In addition, a common conceptualization of the different stages is currently missing in academic literature. To address this research gap, the article proposes a common terminology of all stages of the resettlement process. Highlighting the diversity of resettlement programs, the article relies on a comparative case study of the German resettlement and humanitarian admission programs from Jordan and Turkey. By drawing on the concept of multi-level governance, the article examines diverging objectives and interdependencies between resettlement stakeholders, such as UNHCR and resettlement countries. As a result, the article argues that the increasing emphasis on national selection criteria by resettlement countries, including Germany, puts resettlement countries even more in the center of decision-making authority–in contrast to a diffusion of power that characterizes multi-level governance.

The main objective in the selection of personnel is to select the most appropriate candidate for a job. Personnel selection for human resources management is a very important issue.The aim of this paper is to determine the best-performing personnel for promotion using an application of a Multi Criteria Decision Making(MCDM) method, generalized Choquet integral, to a real personnel selection problem of a case study in Turkey and 17 alternatives are ranked according to personnel selection criteria (22 subcriteria are classified under 5 main criteria). The main contribution of this paper is to determine the interdependency among main criteria and subcriteria, the nonlinear relationship among them and the environmental uncertainties while selecting personnel alternatives using the generalized Choquet integral method with the experts’ view. To the authors’ knowledge, this will be the first study which uses the generalized Choquet Integral methodology for human resources.

This study aims to analyze the increasing potential for poverty in the city of Palangka Raya from the perspective of SMIs due to the impact of the 19th COVID pandemic. The data was obtained based on the results of in-depth interviews from February to April 2020 with 10 SMIs and supported from secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency. The data is processed based on qualitative research principles based on the type of case study research. In the results of this study it was found that the SMIs experienced a very detrimental impact in terms of sales and marketing of products so that employees who come to work are terminated indefinitely, in this connection it appears that there is potential increases in poverty that can occur in the future come.

The present paper investigates the characteristics and best construction strategies of smart cities around the world, as well as the determining factors of the satisfaction of the quality of life and the importance of the value of environmental sustainability. A case study of the city of Kalampaka and its residents was examined. The survey was conducted between July 2016 and August 2016. The selection of the sample was done by using the method of simple selection and includes a random sample of N=150 individuals. Statistical analysis showed that resident’s knowledge about smart cities was fairly good (48% of sample knew the phrase “smart cities”). Furthermore, they believe that the appearance of the city of Kalampaka needs improvement (75% of sample is disappointed with the current appearance of the city). Regression analysis showed that the value of environmental sustainability is greatly influenced by the energy saving, as well as, innovation has an impact on the level of quality of life. Older people seem to be satisfied with administration’s efforts.

Globally, the use of electric vehicles, and in particular the use of electric buses, has been increasing. The city of Nanjing leads China in the adoption of electric buses, supported by city policies and infrastructure. To lower costs and provide a better service, vehicle selection is crucial, however, existing selection methods are limited. Accordingly, Nanjing Bus Company developed a test method based on road tests to select a bus. This paper presents a detailed description of the test method and a case study of its application. The method included an organization structure, selection of eight test vehicles (four 10 m length, four 8 m length) from four brands (a total of 32 test vehicles), selection of indicators and selection of routes. Data was collected from repeated drives by 65 drivers over an 8-week period. Indicators included power consumption, charging duration, failure duration and driving distance. It is concluded that the road test method designed and conducted by the Nanjing Bus Company provides a good framework for the selection of pure electric buses. Furthermore, subsequent experience with selected buses supports the validity and value of the model.

Abstract. Previous research has examined global cities networks by means of the sister city cooperations and the factors which influence its implementation. However, there is no research which examines the extent to which these factors influence the success of sister city cooperation. Therefore, investigating the success factors of the sister city cooperation that contribute to city management is carried out. The case study approach is used by applying in-depth interviews to key informants for subsequent coding and content analysis. We found that the reciprocal relations accurring between the two cities are main factors which spur the sister city cooperation so that it led to the improvement of human resources, helped reduce problems in managing the city environment, and triggered increased market opportunities and global competitiveness. This condition is also supported by consistent local leadership. Meanwhile, shared interests and community participation are needed as a prerequisite for a development process and cooperation relationships that do not directly affect the success of the cooperation. Abstrak. Penelitian sebelumnya telah banyak memeriksa jejaring kota – kota di dunia melalui kemitraan sister city dan faktor – faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap pelaksanaannya. Namun, belum ada penelitian menyeluruh yang memeriksa sejauh mana faktor – faktor tersebut berpengaruh terhadap kemitraan sister city. Untuk itu, investigasi terhadap faktor - faktor kesuksesan kemitraan sister city yang dapat berkontribusi terhadap pengelolaan kota dilakukan. Pendekatan studi kasus digunakan dengan menerapkan wawancara mendalam terhadap informan kunci untuk selanjutnya dilakukan proses pengkodean dan analisis isi. Kami menemukan bahwa hubungan timbal balik yang terjadi antara kedua kota menjadi faktor utama yang memicu kemitraan sister city sehingga mengarah pada peningkatan sumber daya manusia, membantu mengurangi masalah pengelolaan lingkungan kota, serta memicu peningkatan peluang pasar dan daya saing global. Kondisi tersebut ditunjang juga oleh kepemimpinan lokal yang konsisten. Sementara itu, kepentingan bersama dan partisipasi masyarakat dibutuhkan sebagai prasyarat dari suatu proses pembangunan dan hubungan kemitraan yang tidak berpengaruh langsung terhadap kesuksesan kemitraan.

Abstract The availability of hotel facilities and services and their quality are one of the most important factor in selection of a tourist destination. The aim of the article was to analyse the impact of hotel location factors, prices of hotel services and detailed assessments of hotel services provided by the hotel on the overall rating of the hotel. As a case study, Zadar – a city located in the northern part of the Dalmatian coast of Croatia – was used to analyse the problem. The location determinants of hotels and their equipment were assessed in relation to the price of accommodation and tourists’ evaluation of the basic components of hotel services. The analysis used data obtained from the Booking.com website for accommodation prices, including selected days of the high and low season, data on the number of opinions about the object and the rating of the object by guests in terms of the overall opinion about the object, its location conditions, the standard of services rendered, cleanliness, comfort, evaluation of staff work, access to Wi-Fi network and assessment of services rendered in relation to the price of the service. The obtained results indicate hotel location, especially its distance from the city centre, railway station and airport and evaluation of chosen elements of customers’ hotel evaluation are most significant determinants of choosing accommodation for tourists.
