This study aimed at determining whether the PBL model and learning styles could influence the students' mathematical problem-solving and self-esteem abilities. This study was a quasi-experimental study, in which in include of two classes namely X MIPA 1 class (Mathematics and Natural Sciences); moreover, there were 24 students who used the PBL learning model as an experimental class and X MIPA 2 (Mathematics and Natural Sciences) that consisted of 22 students used a scientific learning model as a control class at SMAN 17 Pandeglang on the academic year of 2019/2020. In addition to the learning model, the students were also categorized based on visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. The data were collected by means of learning style questionnaires, problem-solving ability test, and self-esteem questionnaires. The data analysis was performed statistically both descriptive and inferential. The validity of mathematical problems was based on the expert assessment and validity test while the reliability was tested using product moment correlation. Pre-test and post-test data had been tested and both of them were homogeneous and normally distributed. The homogeneity test used Lavene test and the normality test used Chi Square. The influence test was performed using statistics, the average difference test, the two-way ANOVA test, and the Post Hoc follow-up test with Scheffe. All data were processed using SPSS. This study indicated the success by obtaining a significant value of 0.00 <α. Hence, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the implementation of PBL models and learning styles on mathematical problem-solving and self-esteem abilities.

<em>This Research aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning model and guided discovery learning model of learning ability of students' mathematical problem-solving in terms of self-regulated learning. This was a quasi-experiment research. The sampling technique is multistage random sampling. The data collection technique is mathematical problem-solving ability test on essay form and questionnaire self-regulated learning of the student. Hypothesis testing using two-way ANOVA technique with 5% significance level. The conclusion of this research shows that (1) the mathematical problem-solving ability of students who are treated with PBL model is higher than the mathematical problem-solving ability of students who are treated with GDL model, (2) there is interaction effect between learning model and self regulated learning to mathematical problem solving abilities of student , (3) mathematical problem solving abilities treated by PBL model is higher than mathematical problem solving ability given GDL model in groups of students who have high self regulated learning, (4) there is no difference in mathematical problem-solving ability among students who are given Treatment of PBL models and treated with GDL models in groups of students who have low self-regulated learning.</em>

AbstractThis study aims to improve students' problem-solving abilities with STAD cooperative learning model on the subject of integers class VII SMP Negeri 3 Galang. This type of  research is a classroom action research. The subjects were students of class VII-1 SMP Negeri 3 Assemble TA2014/2015 which amounted to28 students. The object of  this study is an effort to improve the ability of mathematical problem solving through cooperative learning model Student Team Achievement Division(STAD) on the subject of Integer. The research instrument used is the observation and mathematical problem solving ability test.  From the results of problem solving ability test, the data obtained were 9 students (32.14%), which reached the criteria of problem-solving abilities. After being given the treatment by applying the learning model STAD (first cycle), it is provided TKPMI .From the TKPMI data showed that as many as16students(57.14%) of the28students(2.74 value) that reaches criteria problem-solving abilities. This shows that in the first cycle of mathematical problem solving ability of students as a whole h as not reached 85%, the continued action on the second cycle. From the results TKPMII data showed that as many as 24 students (85.71%) of  the 28 students (3.15 value) that reaches criteria problem-solving abilities. This shows that the mathematical problem solving ability of students as a whole has reached 85%, then the action is stopped. Based on t he above results, it can be concluded that by applying STAD cooperative learning model can improve students' mathematical problem solving ability on the subject of integers in class VII SMP Negeri 3Galang.Keywords: STAD, improve, test, problem, solving

This study aims to study the interaction of Intellectual Auditory and Repetition (AIR) learning on mathematical problem solving abilities and self-efficiency of students in Class X of SMA Negeri 1 NA IX-X Aek Batu City. The population of this study was all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 NA IX-X Aek Batu City in the 2018/2019 academic year while the sample was class X-IPA 2 which was studied by 40 students. Data collection techniques using essay tests (pretest and posttest) were used for problem solving and the questionnaire was used for self efficacy. Data were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. From these results, obtained tcount&gt; ttable: 18.78&gt; 1.83 and the significant value is smaller than the significant level value that is 0.002 &lt;0.05. Therefore it is the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model for students' mathematical problem solving abilities. For self efficacy, 80% results were obtained, thus positive student self efficacy towards the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model. Can solve the problem of mathematical compatibility and significant student self-efficacy towards the Auditory Intellectualual learning model and the Repetition model.

Abstrak. Pemecahan masalah merupakan kemampuan dasar yang seharusnya dimiliki ole siswa. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis berperan dalam menyelesaikan setiap permasalahan baik pelajaran lain maupun permasalahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Melalui kegiatan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa diarahkan dalam membangun pengetahuan matematika, berpikir logis, sistematis dan terukur. Faktanya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa masih rendah. Proses pembelajaran yang menitikberatkan pada latihan yang memberikan kesempatan pada siswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis menjadi model perbaikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran missouri mathematic project merupakan model pembelajaran yang tepat memfasilitasi siswa dalam mengembangkan pemikirannya dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal pemecahan masalah matematis. Untuk itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran missouri mathematic project. Jenis penelitian merupkan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian siswa kelas V MIS Al Firdausy Pematang Reba. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis terjadi peningkatan pada setiap siklus dimulai dari tes awal pra tindakan, siklus I dan siklus II. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran missouri mathematic project. Abstract. Problem solving is a basic skill that should be possessed by students. Mathematical problem solving abilities play a role in solving every problem both other subjects and problems in everyday life. Through mathematical problem solving activities students are directed to build mathematical knowledge, think logically, systematically and measurably. The fact is that students' mathematical problem solving abilities are still low. The learning process that focuses on exercises that provide opportunities for students to develop mathematical problem solving skills to become a model for improvement in the learning process. The Missouri Mathematical Project learning model is an appropriate learning model to facilitate students in developing their thinking in solving mathematical problem solving problems. For this reason, this study aims to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities through the application of the Missouri mathematical learning model. This type of research is a classroom action research (PTK). The research subjects were grade V students of MIS Al Firdausy Pematang Reba. The data collection technique used was a mathematical problem-solving ability test. The data analysis technique used is quantitative data analysis. Based on the results of the test of mathematical problem solving abilities, there was an increase in each cycle starting from the initial pre-action test, cycle I and cycle II. It can be concluded that there is an increase in students' mathematical problem solving abilities through the application of the Missouri mathematical learning model.

The purpose of this research are: (1) to know the influence of Think Talk Write (TTW) model of learning ability to solve mathematical problems of learners; (2) to know the effect of learning habit on students' mathematical problem solving ability; (3) to know the interaction between learning model and study habit to students' mathematical problem solving ability. The type of research used is quasi experiment with 3 × 3 factorial research design. The hypothesis test used is a parametric test with data analysis technique using Anova test. The result of the research for the prerequisite test is based on normality test which can be known by using Liliefors test and homogeneity test can be known by using Barlett test, it is obtained that the test result data from both groups are normal and homogeneous, so it can be continued for parametric test by using anava test two paths with unequal cells. Based on data processing, it is found that: (1) there is influence of Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model to students' mathematical problem-solving ability; (2) there is the influence of learning habit on the ability of mathematical problem of learners; (3) there is no interaction between the learning model and the learning habits of the mathematical problems of the learners. This means that the learning model Think Talk Write (TTW) is more effective than the conventional model so that Think Talk Write (TTW) model more influence on the problem-solving ability of learners.

Abstract. This study aims to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities by applying the learning model with head numbered structure. This type of research is the Class Action Research (CAR). Data collection techniques used were tests and observations. The instruments used were the problem-solving ability test, observation sheet and data analysis techniques using the problem-solving indicator values. Based on the results of the problem-solving ability test that on indicator 1 that fulfills the completeness of learning in the first cycle 63%, and the second cycle 78%. Indicator 2 in cycle I 59%, and cycle 2 70%. Indicator 3 in cycle I as 52% and cycle II is 67%. Indicator 4 in cycle I 48%, and cycle II 63%. So it can be concluded that the students' mathematical problem-solving abilities increase through the application of the learning model with head numbered structure. Key words: Head Number Structure, Problem Solving

This study aims to apply the RME-based ethnomatematics learning model to improve problem solving skills of prospective mathematics education teachers at the University of Bengkulu. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with data collection techniques through student observation sheets and learning outcomes tests. Subjects in this study were 2A semester students at the University of Bengkulu in the 2017/2018 school year, totaling 22 people consisting of 6 male students and 16 female students. This study lasted two cycles through the RME-based ethnomatematics learning model with the following phases (1) orienting students to problems; (2) organizing students to study; (3) assisting independent and group investigations; (4) develop and present artifacts (works); (5) process analysis and evaluation. Based on this research, it was concluded before the implementation of the Ethnomatematics-based RME learning model, pre-action tests were conducted which resulted in an average value of 69.00 after the implementation of the ethnomatematics-based RME learning model could improve students' mathematical problem-solving ability with the problem solving ability test results. mathematics students get an increase in the average value of the first cycle of 70.77 to the second cycle of 79.59 and the percentage of mathematical problem solving ability increased from the first cycle of 81.82% to the second cycle of 95.45%

This research aimed to know the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning model toward students’ mathematical problem-solving ability derived from their self-regulated learning at MTs Rokan Hulu. This research using a factorial experiment design. By random cluster sampling, 8th-grade students of A-class as the experimental and C-class students as the control group. Data were collected from the mathematical problem-solving ability test and self-regulated learning questionnaire. The result of this study is: 1) there was a difference in mathematical problem-solving ability between students taught by Problem Based Learning model and those who educated by direct learning, 2) there was a difference in mathematical problem-solving ability among students having high, medium and low self-regulated learning, and 3) there was no interaction between Problem Based Learning model and student mathematical problem-solving ability.

The   aims   of   this   research   are focused  to  examine  the  effect  of  learning model      was      estimated      to      decrease mathematics    anxiety    and    to    increase student's    mathematical    problem    solving ability.  The  instrument  that  used  for  this research were ability test of problem solving in math and mathematics quosionaire with likert  scale.  The  data  analysis  used  mixed method embedded konkruen method. Based on  data  analysis  concluded  (1)  the  result show the increasing student's mathematical problem  solving  ability  by  problem  based learning  model  better  than  by  expository teaching; (2) increasing quality of studen'ts mathematical   problem   solving   ability   by problem   based   learning   better   than   by expository      teaching.      (3)      significant differences between mathematics anxiety and the accomplisment of student's matematical problem  solving  ability  by  problem  based learning  and  by  expository  teaching  (4) significant  differences  between  decreasing mathematics   anxiety   and   increasing   of student's    mathematical    problem    solving ability  by  problem  based  learning  and  by expository   teaching.    and    (5)   there   is significan relationship between mathematics anxiety and the accomplishment of student's mathematical problem solving ability.

The aim of this study was to describe and to test the effect of problem solving learning model oriented toward Balinese local wisdom (PSBLW) and type of mathematics problems (open and closed problems) on the ability to solve mathematics problem of the fifth grade students of elementary in Singaraja. This quasi-experimental research used non-equivalent control group design with pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed with factorial 2x2 analysis of covariance (Anacova). The sample consisted of the fifth grade students of Elementary School with the total of 152 students spread into 4 classes. The sample was selected by cluster random sampling. The data were collected using mathematics problem solving ability test at the 5% significance level (α = 0.05). The statistical analysis was done with the aid of SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The results showed that (1) the ability, may to solve mathematics problems of the students who learned through PSBLW is higher than those who learned through direct instructional model; (2) the students’ability to solve problems facilitated with open mathematics problems was higher than that with closed mathematics problems. The conclusion is local wisdom-oriented problem solving learning model efective to improve mathematical problem solving ability.
