ABSTRAK Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan pendekatan openended berbantuan wingeom dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan pendekatan differentiated instruction berbantuan wingeom di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII  yang berjumlah 9 kelas kemudian dilakukan pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 2 kelas yaitu kelas VIII-1 dan VIII-2 yang masing-masing berjumlah 36 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pretest dan posttest yang berbentuk uraian soal. Pretest digunakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal siswa. Sedangkan posttest digunakan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa setelah diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda. Pengujian hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji t 2 pihak dengan dk = 70 dan  = 0,05, maka diperoleh thitung = 2,407 dan ttabel = 1,994 sehingga thitung> ttabel yaitu 2,407 > 1,994  maka Ha diterima, dengan demikian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajarkan dengan pendekatan pembelajaran Open Ended berbantuan wingeom dengan pendekatan pembelajaran Differentiated Instruction berbantuan wingeom.Kata Kunci : Open Ended, Differentiated Instruction, Komunikasi Matematis, Wingeom ABSTRACT The type of this research is quasi-experiment. This study aims to determine the differences in the ability of mathematical communication between students taught using the open ended approach wingeom assisted with students taught using a differentiated instruction approach wingeom assisted at grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa. Population in this research is all class VIII  which amounts to 9 class then do sampling by using random sampling technique. Samples taken as many as 2 classes of classes VIII-1 and VIII-2, each of which amounted to 36 students. The instrument of data collection used is pretest and posttest which in the form of problem description. Pretest is used to determine students’ early skills. While posttest is used to know the  difference of students’ mathematical communication ability after given different treatment. The data analysis of experimental class by using t-test two tail with dk = 70 and significance level  = 0.05, it was obtained that tcalculation= 2,407 and ttable = 1,994so tcalculation>ttable then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The result showed that there is different in student’s mathematical communications skill with by using Open Ended scientific approach aided Wingeom and Differentiated Instruction scientific approach aided Wingeom.Keyword      : Open Ended, Differentiated Instruction, Mathematical Communications, Wingeom

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan modle pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dengan hasil belajar yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS pada materi Kubus dan Balok,siswa kelas VIII SMP N 2 Kotapinang T.A 2017/2018.Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII SMP N 2 Kotapinang yang terdiri dari 7 kelas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan instrumen berupa tes pilihan berganda yang telah valid dan reliabilitas tinggi yaitu 0,739 untuk soal pretest dan 0,988 untuk soal postest. Dari hasil analisis data  pretest kelas eksperimen I diperoleh L0 = 0,142<  Ltabel = 0,148 dan data pretest kelas eksperimen II diperoleh L0 = 0,134<  Ltabel = 0,148. Maka dapat disimpulkan data pretest kedua kelas adalah berdistribusi normaL.Dari uji homogenitas data postest diperoleh bahwa kedua sampel homogen yaitu dengan Fhitung = 1,028 < Ftabel = 1,76.Setelah dilakukan uji hipotesis dengan uji t maka diperoleh thitung = 1,766 dan ttabel = 1,666. Hal ini berarti thitung > ttabel maka Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS siswa kelas VIII SMP N 2 Kotapinang.Kata kunci : hasil belajar matematika,model TGT,model TPS ABSTRACTThis research aims to finds the difference of mathematics achievement thought by cooperative type of TGT (Teams Games Tournament) and TPS(Think Pair Share) on cube and beam material. The subject of this research is the entire class VIII of the junior high shoool of the school year 2017/2018. The design used in this research is quasi experiments and the data coollection technique is objective test that have been valid and high reliability that is 0,739 for pretest and 0,988 for postest.From the analysis of pretest data of experiment class 1 obtained L0 = 0,142<  Ltabel = 0,148 and for pretest data of experiment class II obtainedL0 = 0,134<  Ltabel = 0,148. It can be concluded the pretest data of both classes are normally distributed. From the homogenity test of postest data obtained that two homogeneous samples areFhitung = 1,028 < Ftabel = 1,76. After hypothesis testing with t test then obtained thitung = 1,766 dan ttabel = 1,666.This meansthitung > ttabelso Ha received dan H0rejected . ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to improve students’ mathematical creative thinking ability in the classroom taught using Problem Based Learning (PBL). The design of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The object of this research is the implementation of PBL model. Thesubject of this research is all students in class VIII-A SMP Negeri 4Balige academic year 2017/1018 consist of 32 students. The result of this research are: (1) The number of students who reach category completed for MCTA test in cycle I are 8 persons with percentage of completeness is 25%, students not completed are 24 persons with percentage of completeness is 75% and the score of MCTA reached is 1,97 in low criteria, (2) The number of students who reach category completed for MCTA test in cycle II  are 25 persons with percentage of completeness is 78,125%, students not completed are 7 persons with percentage of completeness is 21,875% and the score of MCTA reached is 2,81 in high criteria (3) Learning by implemented PBL model could make the students’ activity was good category in learning, and (4) Learning by implemented PBL model can improve students’ mathematical creative thinking ability.Keywords: Mathematical Creative Thinking,  Problem Based Learning

> ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the ability of students' understanding of mathematicalconcepts by using Problem Posing approach is higher than Direct Instruction Learningin VIII class at Private Junior High School of Methodist Tanjung Morawa. This researchis a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttes design.The population in this studyis all students of class VIII consisting of 3 classes, while the sample in this study werestudents of class VIII-1 (experimental class) as many as 31 people and class VIII-2(control class ) of 31 people. The research instrument in data collection is a test. Beforetesting the hypothesis first tested the normality of data by using Liliefors test andhomogeneity of data using F test. From the test it was obtained that the pretest results ofboth samples distributed normal and homogeneous, thus the authors can give treatmentto both samples. From the result of pretest-posttes data analysis using t-test at α = 0,05we get t_count> t_ (table) that is 1,955> 1,677 so that H_o is rejected and H_a accepted.So it can be concluded that the ability to comprehend the concept of mathematics studentsusing Problem Posing approach is higher than Direct Instruction Learning in VIII.Keywords: Posing problem, Understanding of mathematical conceptsABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematikasiswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan Problem Posin glebih tinggi daripada DirectInstruction Learning di kelas VIII SMP Swasta Methodist Tanjung Morawa. Penelitianini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttes. Populasi dalampenelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang terdiri dari 3 kelas,sedangkan sampeldalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-1(kelas eksperimen) sebanyak 31 orang dankelas VIII-2 (kelas kontrol) sebanyak 31 orang. Instrumen penelitian dalam pengumpulandata adalah tes. Sebelum pengujian hipotesis terlebih dahulu diuji normalitas data denganmenggunakan uji Liliefors dan homogenitas data menggunakan uji F. Dari pengujianyang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa hasil pretest kedua sampel berdistribusi normal danhomogen, dengan demikian penulis bisa memberikan perlakuan kepada kedua sampel.Dari hasil analisis data pretest-posttes dengan menggunakan uji-t pada tarafdiperoleh yaitu sehingga ditolak dan diterima.Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswadengan menggunakan pendekatan Problem Posing lebih tinggi daripada DirectInstruction Learning di kelas VIII.Kata kunci: Problem Posing, Pemahaman Konsep

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang dianalisis melalui lembar jawaban siswa Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Salapian dengan sampel penelitian adalah Kelas VII-B yang diberikan perlakukan pembelajaran kontekstual dan kelas VII-C yang diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Terdapat perbedaan kemamuan pemecahan masalah matematika antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Pada penelitian ini didapat bahwa proses jawaban siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kontekstual lebih baik dari proses jawaban siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran berbasis masalah.Kata kunci:   Pembelajaran kontekstual, pembelajaran berbasis masalah, kemampuanpemecahan masalah ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to determine the differences in mathematical problem solving abilities of students who obtain contextual learning with students who obtain problem-based learning which is analyzed through student answer sheets. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The population in this study was the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Salapian with a sample of the study was Class VII-B which was given the treatment of contextual learning and class VII-C given the treatment of problem-based learning. There are differences in the ability to solve mathematical problems between students who get contextual learning with students who get problem-based learning. In this study it was found that the answer process of students who get contextual learning is better than the answer process of students who get problem-based learning.Keywords: Contextual Learning, Problem Based Learning,Problem solving skill

ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran Open Ended lebih tinggi dari peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah di SMA Negeri 2 Kisaran dan untuk mendeskripsikan proses hasil jawaban siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi ekperimen. Populasi dari penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 2 Kisaran .Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah kelas XII-IPA-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen I yang diajar dengan pembelajaran Open Ended (35 siswa) dan XII-IPA-3 sebagai kelas eksperimen II yang diajar dengan pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (35 siswa). Desain penelitian ini adalah mengunakan desain pretest-posttest. Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan test kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran Open Ended lebih tinggi dari peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dengan perbedaan rata-rata 6,1428 dan peningkatan indikator paling tinggi pada pembelajaran Open Ended pada indikator kelancaran dan yang paling rendah elaborasi sedangkan indikator peningkatan paling tinggi pada pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah adalah kelancaran dan yang paling rendah adalah orisinalitas.Kata kunci : Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Siswa, Pembelajaran Open-Ended, Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah  ABSTRACTThe aim of this research is to study if the increase ability student’s creative thinking that implement Open Ended Learning higher than implement Problem Based Learning and to describe the proses of student’s answer.This research is quasi experiment research.The population of this research is all student in class XII SMA Negeri 2 Kisaran. The sample of this research consists of two class, namely, XII-IPA-1 as the first experiment class taught using Open Ended Learning (35 pupils), XII-IPA-3 as the second experiment class taught using Problem Based Learning (35 pupils).This research  Design of this research was two-group pretest-posttest design. Ability of student’s creative thinking was measured by using test of ability student’s creative thinking . The result of this study showed that the increase ability that implement Open Ended Learning 6,1428  higher than implement Problem Based Learning and the highest increase indicator in class taught using Open Ended Learning was fluency and the the lowest was elaboration while highest increase indicator in class taught using Problem Based Learning was fluency and the lowest is original. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran PBL (Problem Based Learning) pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linier Dua Variabel di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selatan.. Jenis penelitian ini adalah  penelitian  tindakan kelas (classroom  action  research). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus yang masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan dalam 2 kali pertemuan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-2  yang berjumlah 35 orang. Berdasarkan  Hasil analisis siklus I dari nilai Test Hasil Belajar I diperoleh nilai rata-ratanya 55,42. Sebanyak 10 siswa (28,57%) tuntas dalam belajar sedangkan 25 siswa (71,42%) tidak tuntas. Dan hasil analisis siklus II dari nilai Tes Hasil Belajar II nilai rata-ratanya 72,28. Sebanyak 31 siswa (88,57%) tuntas dalam belajar sedangkan 4 siswa (11,42 %) tidak tuntas dalam belajar.Ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal dan individu mencapai 88,57% yang memperoleh nilai 65 dan siswa lainnya atau 11,42% memperoleh nilai < 65, maka pembelajaran ini dikatakan tuntas. Tingkat penguasaan siswa dari tes belajar II mencapai kriteria tinggi, maka pembelajaran ini dikatakan telah tercapai. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdasarkan hasil observasi untuk guru pada siklus I sebesar 2,23 meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 3,02. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Model PBL  dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem linier dua variabel di kelas VIII-2  SMP.Kata kunci : PBL, Hasil Belajar Matematika, SPLDVAbstrac. This study aims to determine the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes of students by using PBL (Problem Based Learning) model on the material of Two Variable Linear Equation System in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selatan. This type of research is a classroom action research. Subjects in this study were students of class VIII. This study is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles which each cycle is held in 2 meetings. Subjects in this study were students of class VIII-2 which amounted to 35 people. Based on the results of the analysis of the cycle I of the value of Test Results I obtained an average score of 55.42. A total of 10 students (28,57%) complete in learning while 25 students (71,42%) not complete. And the result of analysis of cycle II from test result of result of learning II average value 72,28. A total of 31 students (88,57%) complete in learning while 4 students (11,42%) not complete in learning. Student learning completeness in class and individual reach 88,57% which get value of 65 and other student or 11,42% get value <65, then this learning is said to be complete. The level of mastery of students from the test of learning II reaches a high criterion, then this learning is said to have been achieved. Implementation of learning based on observations for teachers in cycle I of 2.23 increased in cycle II to 3.02. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that PBL  model can improve student learning outcomes on two-variable linear system material in class VIII-2 SMP.Keywords: PBL, Mathematics Learning Outcomes, SPLDV

This study aims to (1)  find out whether the application of problem-based learning model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on statistical materials, (2) to know how to improve student learning outcomes in statistical materials after being taught by applying problem-based learning model in class IX SMP Negeri 30 Medan. This study is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle is implemented in 3 meetings. Subjects in this study were students of class IX-7 SMP Negeri 30 Medan academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 34 people. Based on the results of the diagnostic tests are known low student learning outcomes with an average grade grade of 55.58. After giving the action in cycle I by applying Problem-Based Learning Model, student's classical learning completeness level is medium with average score 70,14 with 22 student or 64,7% from all student have reach learn masculinity and ability of teacher to manage learning is 2, 44 with good category. Furthermore, after the implementation of the action in cycle II, the student's classical learning completeness is high with the average grade grade 80,3 where the number of students who have achieved mastery of learning as many as 30 students or 88,23% of all students and the ability of teachers to manage learning is 3,21 with very good category. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that Problem-Based Learning Model can improve student learning outcomes on the subject of statistics in class IX-7 SMP Negeri 30 Medan in the academic year 2017/2018.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Problem Based Learning Model, Statistics.

This study aims to determine whether are differences in problem solving skills of mathematics students using cooperative learning type TAI and NHT in class VII SMP Negeri 3 Pulau Rakyat. This type of research is quasi experiment. The population in this study is all students of grade VII semester 2 SMP Negeri 3 Pulau Rakyat consisting of 5 classes with total 160 students and the sample of this study are VII-1 and VII-3 as many as 64 students. The required dara is obtained by using the students’ math problem solving test in the form of a description of 4 question. From the results of data analysis obtained the average test results of students mathematics problem solving abilities through cooperative learning type TAI is 27,28 with varians 2,65 and the average test result of students’ mathematics problem solving abilities through cooperative leraning type NHT is 22,25 with varians 3,28. To test hypothesis used t test, from the calculation results obtained tcount with the test reject Ho and accept Ha if tcount  1,6697 so it looks  that tcount is not reside in the Ho accetance area which means Ho rejected and Haaccepted or in other  words there are differences problem solving ability of mathematics students using cooperative learning type TAI and NHT in class VII SMP Negeri 3 Pulau Rakyat. Keywords: Mathematical Problem Solving Abilities, TAI, NHT

This study aims to determine whether there is a difference in the ability to understand students'concepts taught by using Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model and studentstaught with guided invention learning model at MTs.S Al-Jihad Medan. This study was designedand implemented using a quasi-experimental method and involved a sample of 60 students. Thisstudy uses the instrument in the form of a description of pretest and posttest used to determinethe ability of understanding the concept of mathematics students. From the research result, itcan be found the postest average value 81,33 for experiment class A and 78,4 for experimentclass B. The data obtained are analyzed by using Chi-Square test, F test, and t test. Based onthe test, it can be concluded that there is a difference of students' concept comprehension abilitytaught by using Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model and students taughtby Guided Discovery model at MTs.S Al-Jihad MedanT.A 2017/2018.
