The problem became topical due to the reorientation of education to the new goals of shaping the skills of 21 century among students. The authors present one of solutions for these problems, the special training of future teachers in the walls of the institution of higher education to apply research methods in school education. The paper outlines proposals for improving the content of methodical training of teachers. The theory of teaching methods acquires further development, in particular, concept definition of research methods course and classification of research methods are generalized and refined. The methods and techniques of forming a rough basis of research activities among students while using computer-based training application «Showing_Evidence» are analyzed by example of solution of professionally directed task.

ABSTRACTThe use of course-management software such as Blackboard, Moodle, and Canvas has become ubiquitous at all levels of education in the United States. A potentially useful feature of these products is the ability for instructors to administer assessments including quizzes and tests that are flexible, easy to customize, and quick and efficient to grade. Although computer-based assessments offer clear advantages, instructors might be concerned about their effect on student performance. This article evaluates whether student performance differs between handwritten and computer-based exams through a randomized field experiment conducted in a research methods course. Overall, our findings suggest a significant improvement in student performance on computer-based exams that is driven primarily by the relative ease of producing thorough responses on the computer versus by hand.

The central concern of this paper is to investigate students’ perceptions about the Research Methods Course taught in English at the Faculty of Sciences and Technologies, Tangier (FSTT). The study results reveal that students find research methods extremely valuable as there has been a genuine attempt to seriously participate in mini collective research projects under constant supervision by their mentor. Students expressed a predisposition toward research. This is merely indicative of their prior mindfulness of the paramount importance of research not only in their academic trajectory, but also in their professional endeavors. Students’ familiarity with and exposure to research terminologies, such as research proposal, literature review, citing and referencing, research designs, data collection methods, data analysis and discussion, and many more has been fundamentally crucial to preparing them to take part in research activities and practices. The researcher utilizes both quantitative and qualitative research analyses by dint of an online questionnaire and focus group sessions in order to be at a better position to investigate the issue at hand, and simultaneously create an opportunity of growth. Furthermore, it is conspicuous that the findings of the current study indicate more useful implications pertinent to students’ engagement, participation and commitment in the Research Methods Course.

The authors of the article consider the issue of how future teachers of Computer Science and Mathematics are going to perceive the terminology of the digital world. The authors note that the terminological system “digital” arises as a result of digitalisation of all spheres of human activity. The results of the classification of digital terminology into thematic groups on the basis of decoding their lexical and semantic meaning are presented. The authors consider the issue of the most productive understanding of digital terminology based on the allocation of thematic groups "Space", "Time". “Form and Matter”, “Consumption”, “Technological Transformations”, “Human in the Digital World”. The authors review scientific works from different fields of science, they select phrases with the adjective “digital”. The authors create assignments to identify understanding of digital terminology. The authors determine special attention to the most accessible and complicated understanding of the lexical meaning of the thematic group, they compare the volumes of thematic groups. The novelty of the research lies in the definition of the lexical and semantic group of digital terminology. Topicality of the research lies in the need to expand the vocabulary of a teacher of Computer Science and Mathematics of digital terminology, to build a digital terminology system. The authors prove that the most capacious thematic group is the group “People in the Digital World”. The authors conclude that an assessment of the current level of mastering digital terminology by a Computer Science and Mathematics teacher is to reveal problems in the lexical interpretation of new words in schoolchildren.

Some features of the Life Safety Basics school course, which can be used for the effective implementation of school students' research activities analyzed. To assess the teachers' attitude to the students' research activities, a questionnaire was developed. The study revealed that the main learning effects of students' research activities for the students include development: skills to work with scholarly publications and information, manage self-education process; research skills; critical and analytical thinking. A teacher as a students' research activities supervisor increases the level of students' professionalism, meets the educational standard requirements, gets the opportunity to realize the potential of each student and increase the level of their subject knowledge. Herewith, methodological problems of designing and managing students' research activities in the teaching practice are identified: students' research activities are not integrated into the everyday learning process; research methods in the classroom, as those that formed primary research skills, are used in fragments. The authors conclude that there is a contradiction between the formal teacher's understanding of students' research activities effectiveness for the meta-subject, personal and social competencies development and the non-system use. Attention is drawn to the lack of future teachers training issue development to implement research methods in teaching as a necessary professional activity element. Thus, there is a need to improve future teachers' professional training, which would include formation of the preparedness for the design and management of students' research activities in the classroom and in extracurricular activities for the Life Safety Basics school course.

Introduction. The lack of unity of approach in the definition of the term “victim behavior” necessitates a review of existing definitions and classifications of this subjective factor of victimization in order to develop and further use in the study of specific types of pre-criminal behavioral manifestations of victims. Purpose. The purpose of the study is to identify the most suitable for the study of victimization of minors from violent crimes against life and health, the definition of the category of “victim behavior”, a description of the behavioral deviations of juvenile victims of violent crimes and the development of their classification. Methods. The study is based on a dialectical approach, using methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison, classification. In addition, sociological research methods (study of criminal case materials) were used. Results. The author suggests that the definition of “victim behavior” be based on the concept of social norm, and the classification of victim behavior is based on the nature of deviation from the norm. The frequency of this or that deviation is traced on a representative array of criminal cases studied on violent crimes against the life and health of minors committed on the territory of three sub-federal entities. Conclusion. The information provided can serve as a guide for preventive activities aimed at correcting the behavior of minors, contributing to the commission of violent crimes against them against life and health.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the activity of hotel-museums in the world and in Ukraine, to study the problems and prospects of development of hotel-museums in Ukraine. Research methods. Analytical and statistical methods were used in the researches. Results. The classification of hotel-museums is given. The hotel-museums presented in the Ukrainian hotel market are considered and analyzed. The advantages of hotel-museums over other conceptual hotels and their prospects for development in the domestic hotel market are substantiated. The scientific novelty of the article is that the hotel-museum is a new format for Ukraine, since we do not have any hotel that meets the requirements of this type of accommodation facility. In our time, the guest has become more demanding and needs new solutions and approaches in the hospitality field. Non-standard accommodation formats have always attracted tourists with their strangeness and uniqueness. The hotel-museum is not only a non-standard accommodation facility for tourists, but also carries historical and cultural value. The museum is an element of a complete tourist package. The prospect of combining a museum with a hotel enterprise is of great importance for the tourism infrastructure, as it will give impetus to the development of new hotel formats and tourism in general. As tourists increasingly become oriented towards the experience and knowledge of travel, the format of the hotel-museum is an advantage among other conceptual hotels. Unlike concept hotels that are common around the world, the number of museum hotels is not so significant. The trend of "hotel-museum" has appeared recently, despite the fact that nowadays there is no official definition of this type of accommodation facility. It has led to the creation of hotel facilities that do not have their own museum or museum space, but position themselves as hotel- museums. The concept of "hotel-museum" is quite promising for Ukraine, because the historical and cultural heritage of our country attracts many tourists from all over the world. In spite of this, in Ukraine only four accommodation facilities call themselves hotel-museums. The article provides recommendations for domestic hotel-museums that will help support hotel enterprises with their chosen concept. Practical importance. The results obtained give an impetus to the development of domestic tourism and can be used in further scientific studies and educational materials.
