Subways, as the places where a large number of people are present, are put under under stringent standards of high microlimate and air quality, namely, the content of air-borne dust. In order to maintain dust concentration within the permissible limits, it is suggested to install air filters at ventilation connections at subway stations, which are affected by the piston effect. Using the earlier experimental results, the nonstationary air flow parameters under the piston effect and the structure of air flow at the ventilation connections at subway stations are determined in two-dimensional layout, which allows selection of filtration equipment for removal of dust from subway air, and enables determination of the equipment location at ventilation connections. In order to validate the filtration equipment selection, the review and analysis of the geometry, design and performance of the available facilities are carried out. The most suitable filtration equipment for air dedusting is suggested.

The important problem of the poultry farming is the prevention of infectious diseases causing poultry deaths and unplanned financial losses. The article authors represent an overview of the air disinfection methods and the selection criteria for the disinfection methods being the most effective among other methods applicable for poultry facilities. There were determined the main factors influencing the germicidal efficiency of the ultraviolet (UV) irradiance sources. Studies were considered, where influence on the germicidal efficiency was discussed in terms of the UV irradiation exposure time in poultry facilities with floor conditions. The theoretical parameters substantiation is given for the device combining the two main disinfection components; it is done by development of both the mathematical model for the average irradiance rate calculation and the calculation method of the highspeed air flow parameters. Also, the method has been developed for determination of the needed number of the combined germicidal aerosol units in poultry keeping premises. The authors present the results of the experiments conducted for determination of the germicidal efficiency of the disinfection fulfilled against such microorganisms as Coli bacteria, Kochii bacilli, etc. with use of the developed combined recirculator. The experimental comparison with a prototype was carried out for the decontamination efficiency achieved with aid of the newly developed combined germicidal aerosol recirculator used in the following mode: the exposure time made 1 hour of work, then 2 hours of break on condition of the process cycling throughout the entire daylight hours. Here presented is the recommended layout of a number of the combined germicidal aerosol units in box-type rooms with poultry keeping on floor in a case of the ideal air flow direction. The increase by 20 % was found in the disinfection efficiency as well as the growth by 7 % in the additional live weight gain of the poultry.

Considerations governing selection of power plants for yachts include determination of power for speed and performance desired. This, in turn, requires determination of the best compromise on shaft revolutions compatible with limitations of propeller diameter and possible effects of cavitation. The problem as to whether to use diesel or gasoline engines is also investigated. Curves are given which give general criteria for estimating power over a large range of speeds. Accessories including reverse gears, reduction gears, and their mode of control are discussed. Propeller design in reference to engine rating is investigated, it being pointed out that on many current engines a propeller sized for maximum power and revolutions will be much too small for the horsepower available at a continuous rating.

This chapter provides recommendations for conducting software reviews in software development environments. It is recommended that the software review process planning should consider three issues. These include: 1) decision on the selection of inputs, 2) a determination of the level of review meetings required, and 3) identifying the measurement metrics. For researchers, it is recommended that 1) future research should pay more attention to important relationships between software artefact characteristics and the use of supporting documents, 2) designing and conducting laboratory studies be done more realistically, 3) direct and indirect relationships between the use of inputs as predictors for software review performance, 4) the important relationships between the software artefact characteristics and meeting process factors, 5) meetings should be held when the artefact is complex, of large size and poor initial quality, 6) the use of previously reviewed software documents in relation to meeting process, 7) perceived contingency (motivation) is the most critical factor to meeting process, and 8) future studies should further concentrate on the use of previously reviewed software documents in combination with the implicit inputs, process, and performance.

This paper presents an analysis of the uncertainties in the determination of gas turbine health, which arise by using a method of Gas Path Analysis. This method uses field measurements to estimate, through a mathematical model of the gas turbine thermodynamic cycle, the characteristic geometric and performance parameters, which are indices of gas turbine health. The investigated sources of uncertainties are the inaccuracy of measurements and the necessity of fixing a priori a number of characteristic parameters. This fact implies that variations occurring on these parameters in the actual gas turbine cause an estimation error on the characteristic parameters used as problem variables. The analysis leads to the selection of the appropriate measurements to be used in the gas turbine health determination and identification of both the most critical measurements and parameters.

This method uses field measurements to estimate, through a mathematical model of the gas turbine thermodynamic cycle, the characteristic geometric and performance parameters, which are indices of gas turbine health. The investigated sources of uncertainties are the influence of measurement accuracy and the a priori selection of the characteristic parameters that have to be considered constant during the calculation. This fact implies that variations occurring on these parameters in the actual gas turbine cause an estimation error on the characteristic parameters used as problem variables. The analysis leads to the selection of the appropriate measurements to be used in the gas turbine health determination and to the identification of both the most critical measurements and parameters.

The article is devoted to the questions of a number of aspects of formation of skills of concertmaster activity as a component of piano preparation of the pianist-beginner in the class of classical choreography, revealing of the functional connections of the tandem teacher-choreographer – pianist-concertmaster, determination of the level of psychological-pedagogical students and performers interaction with the choreographer. The data are analyzed in the context of consideration of the general laws concerning the selection of the performing repertoire for musical design of classical choreography lessons, their importance, expediency and correspondence to the students' age characteristics, their level of musical perception.  Key words: concertmaster activities, beginner concert pianist, choreography art, classical dance, psychological and performance barriers, musical design.

Selection of the appropriate composition desalination units can be done with a variety of method approaches, one of the method is the Analytic Hierarchy Process. In determining the desalination unit with AHP method to consider is setting a goal, an alternative criteria and pairwise comparison. Research for the determination of the exact composition of the desalination unit in order to achieve sustainable drinking water suppy in coastal areas and small islands has been conducted. The results of the study are as follows, the energy demand of 50.83%, operator costs of 26.64%, maintenance costs of 14.13% and chemical requirement 8.4%. For an alternative composition desalination unit of RO 10 m3 / day is the best alternative composition with value of 59.61%, the composition of the next alternative is RO 20 m3/ day of 30.40% and the last alternative of the desalination unit composition is RO 120 m3/ day of 09.99%.Key words : Desalination, Mukti Stage Flash Composition, AHP
