Modern diagnostics methods ensuring the safety of production and operation, as well as the improvement of functional characteristics of electromechanical systems’ are discussed, method of diagnostics according to the spectrum and hodograph of the engine’s equivalent current is presented. Functional concept is presented for the system of control, diagnostic and monitoring of technical condition of thermal control systems’ electromechanical part in the spacecraft. The decision-making and forecasting algorithm for the operational resource is based on ground-based studies and diagnostic results. This approach to device diagnostics and monitoring is also used in other servo drives, mechatronic and robotic systems of space vehicles and other objects that are inaccessible and left unattended. Hardware-algorithmic implementation of the system is described, recommendations on the components base selection are given.

The paper reports a brief description of spacecraft operating conditions, the main reasons of heating and thermal gradient appearance and need to reassign the thermal energy. Active thermal control systems and their advantages are considered, spacecraft for which the use of this type of thermal control systems is a priority. The electric pumping unit is pointed as a key unit of active thermal control systems. The electric pump unit is considered from the as the electromechanical system, its key elements are pointed. A description of the preferred pump types is reported and the types of active thermal control systems are briefly discussed. The foreign and domestic operating experience of spacecraft electric pumping units, the features of their designs are considered, the most common types of key elements are determined. Based on the results of the review, it is concluded that the most relevant layout of the electric pump unit is a centrifugal electrical pump with a brushless DC motor and hydrodynamic bearings. It is also indicated that the electric pump unit is a product with a long lifetime, which complicates the task of monitoring the technical condition in order to prevent failure.

The world trend in the development of space vehicles is the expansion of their functionality, which leads to an increase in the power consumption, most of which is allocated in the elements of spacecraft equipment in the form of heat. To remove heat from the equipment elements, transfer it to the heat sink subsystem with subsequent removal to outer space, and also to maintain the required temperature mode of the equipment operation, thermal control systems are used. The increase in the power-to-weight ratio and linear dimensions of new spacecraft in conditions of severe design and weight-and-size limitations leads to a complication and growth of the mass of the system of thermal control of space vehicles. At present, thermal control systems for space vehicles based on single-phase fluid heat transfer loops are used. For space vehicles with an energy consumption of more than 10 kW, thermal control systems based on two-phase heat transfer loops are the most promising. They have a number of advantages in comparison with single-phase thermal control systems: two-phase heat transfer loops can transfer much more heat per unit of flow; the use of heat transfer during boiling allows to maintain the temperature of objects practically on the whole extent of the circuit close to the saturation temperature; the mass of the thermal control system with a two-phase coolant is substantially less than with a single-phase coolant , and the energy consumption of the pump for pumping the coolant is negligible. In this paper, a two-phase heat transfer loop performances are analyzed. The process of increasing the thermal power up to the maximum under conditions of full filling of the accumulator is considered. The study was carried out on an experimental two-phase heat transfer loop with an ammonia. Transient processes associated with an increase in the thermal load from 73 % to 100 % are considered. The obtained data correlate well with the results of the calculation. Based on the results of the analysis, conclusions were made on the operability and stability of the spacecraft thermal control system under these conditions, and recommendations on the choice of the volume of the accumulator are given.

The results of experimental studies of the effect of electron irradiation on K-208 and CMG glasses used for manufacturing protective coatings of solar batteries and thermal control coatings of space vehicles are analyzed. It is shown that the caused electrostatic discharges lead to structural changes in the surfaces of the glasses studied. The goals of further studies of the influence of proton and electronproton effects on the properties of such coatings are outlined.

Renovation works to buildings are often not carried out or there are shifts in time, which causes degradation of the building. The article presents an analysis of the consequences of abandoning renovation works. The aim of this article is to present a method of preliminarily planning renovations of a MRUB (Managing Renovation in Un-renovated Buildings). This method of decision-making support is based on the consequences in the case of the omission of renovations. The omission of renovations may lead to a threat to the stability of the building’s structure, threaten the lives of its users, and further damage the building by damaging further elements, or even cause a building disaster. Often, as a result of the abandonment of renovation, usually caused by the lack of the owner, improper manager, or irresponsible owners, these objects are degraded. The consequences of the failure of renovating buildings lead to irreversible processes of destruction. As a result of the research, it was found that it was not only a bad technical condition that was a prerequisite for carrying out the renovation. The consequences of the absence of renovation works, in addition to the technical condition, should be a motivating factor. The problem of the abandonment of renovations is presented using the example of the palace in Drwalewice.
