A great deal of information related to rice cultivation has been published on the web. Conventionally, this information is studied by end-users to identify pests, and to prevent production losses from rice diseases. Despite its benefits, such information has not yet been encoded in a machine-processable form. This research closes the gap by modeling the knowledge-bases using ontologies and semantic technologies. Our modeled ontologies are externalized from existing reliable sources only, and offer axioms that describe abnormal appearances in rice diseases (and insects) and the corresponding controls. In addition, we developed an expert system called RiceMan, based on our ontologies, to support technical and non-technical users for diagnosing problems from observed abnormalities. We also introduce a composition procedure that aggregates users’ observation data with others for realizing spreadable diseases. This procedure, together with ontology reasoning, lies at the heart of our methodology. Finally, we evaluate our methodology practically with four groups of stakeholders in Thailand: senior agronomists, junior agronomists, agricultural students, and ontology specialists. Both ontologies and RiceMan are evaluated to verify their correctness, usefulness, and usability in various aspects. Our experimental results show that ontology reasoning is a promising approach for this domain problem.

Since the appearance of MYCIN, expert systems have been widely and successfully developed for various scientific and technological researches and applications. These applications require more and more fuzzy information resources because of the uncertainty, inexactness in labeling facts using linguistic terms and expressing human expertise. Sensory foodstuff evaluation is among this kind of fuzzy expert system applications. In the frame of the research project on fuzzy expert systems for science and technology at the Hanoi University of Technology, we have developed an expert system building tool called EXGEN which has the following features: – Knowledge editing in the form of production rules using Vietnamese in the natural language-like syntax. The tool is also capable to verify the consistency of an acquired knowledge base. – Inference engine consisting of two principal inference mechanisms (forward and backward inference) and control strategy module. We proposed also some heuristics for choosing a potential inference trace, allowing to get more information about conclusions. – Possibility of establishing a configuration for a distributed working session. It would be possible to carry out: + a deduction over a shared rule base (RB) in the server, based on information acquired from workstations (common RB and conclusion, distributed fact base (FB)) + a deduction over a shared RB in the server with different cognitive tasks (including hypotheses fact and conclusions) on workstations (common RB and distributed FB) + deductions on workstations with distributed knowledge bases (Distributed RB and FB) We have already implemented an application expert system SENEXSYS for sensory foodstuff evaluation using the building tool EXGEN. Experimental results have shown that qualification given by the expert system is comparable to evaluation results obtained by following up Vietnamese standard TCVN 3215.79

The right and appropriate system of receiving and transferring goods is needed by the company. In the process of receiving and transferring goods from the central warehouse to the branch warehouse at PDAM Tirta Kerta Raharja, Tangerang Regency, which is currently done manually is still ineffective and inaccurate because the Head of Subdivision uses receipt documents, namely PPBP and mutation of goods, namely MPPW in the form of paper as a submission media. The Head of Subdivision enters the data of receipt and mutation of goods manually and requires a relatively long time because at the time of demand for the transfer of goods the Head of Subdivision must check the inventory of goods in the central warehouse first. Therefore, it is necessary to hold a design of information systems for the receipt and transfer of goods from the central warehouse to a web-based branch warehouse that is already database so that it is more effective, efficient and accurate. With the web-based system of receiving and transferring goods that are already datatabed, it can facilitate the Head of Subdivision in inputing data on the receipt and transfer of goods and control of stock inventory so that the Sub Head of Subdivision can do it periodically to make it more effective, efficient and accurate. The method of data collection is done by observing, interviewing and studying literature from various previous studies, while the system analysis method uses the Waterfall method which aims to solve a problem and uses design methods with visual modeling that is object oriented with UML while programming using PHP and MySQL as a database.

Expert systems, or knowledge based systems, are programs in which the answer to a user-posed question is reached by logical or plausible inference rather than strictly by calculation, although calculation routines can form a major part of an expert system. Based on the integration of expert system technology and optimization technology, an intelligent computer aided design method for mine ventilation systems is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the structure and control algorithm of the intelligent design system are explored. Secondly, the knowledge types required for the mine ventilation expert system and the acquiring method of knowledge are discussed. Finally, the inference method of this expert system is put forward.

The development of information and computerized tenology has led to what is called the Internet and the World Wide Web (WWW). In addition, the dramatic development of the Internet has given users more choice and control over content, and also provides individuals, businesses, and public and private organizations with the opportunity to generate and disseminate information. The interactive features of the web can be an effective way to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships if the web is used properly. The presence of the Internet has proven to have a positive impact on the development of a village, sub-district or district to introduce and inform the potential of its region. This is evident in several regions of Indonesia which have successfully used Internet facilities to introduce tourist destinations to the world. Therefore, the training on the promotion website is an effort to optimize the introduction of high quality village products in the district of Patuk and is also intended to follow the results of research on the design of a promotion of superior products and tourist objects on the web in Patuk Gunungkidul district. On the basis of the website promotion feasibility test during the training for each representative in 11 villages in the Patuk sub-district, 87.36% was obtained, so that it can be said that the Introduction of superior village products via promotional materials based on the website was optimal and met the needs of users.

The growth of strawberry will be stressed by biological or abiotic factors, which will cause a great threat to the yield and quality of strawberry, in which various strawberry diseased. However, the traditional identification methods have high misjudgment rate and poor real-time performance. In today's era of increasing demand for strawberry yield and quality, it is obvious that the traditional strawberry disease identification methods mainly rely on personal experience and naked eye observation and cannot meet the needs of people for strawberry disease identification and control. Therefore, it is necessary to find a more effective method to identify strawberry diseases efficiently and provide corresponding disease description and control methods. In this paper, based on the deep convolution neural network technology, the recognition of strawberry common diseases was studied, as well as a new method based on deep convolution neural network (DCNN) strawberry disease recognition algorithm, through the normal training of strawberry image feature representation in different scenes, and then through the application of transfer learning method, the strawberry disease image features are added to the training set, and finally the features are classified and recognized to achieve the goal of disease recognition. Moreover, attention mechanism and central damage function are introduced into the classical convolutional neural network to solve the problem that the information loss of key feature areas in the existing classification methods of convolutional neural network affects the classification effect, and further improves the accuracy of convolutional neural network in image classification.
