In this paper, the enhanced auto-tuning technique based on the injection of two sinusoidal test signals of different frequencies applicable on the low voltage induction motor self-commissioning process is presented. The main feature of the proposed technique resides in the advanced signal processing of measured IM voltage and current signals based on the cascaded delay signal cancelation structure. This processing algorithm enables the filtering of the symmetry-related fundamental harmonic from the non-symmetrical test signal excitation typical for the self-commissioning process. Based upon the steady-state response from the proposed filtering block, the simple yet effective calculation method derives the complete parameter set of the IM equivalent circuit. The technique is validated through the variety of computer simulations and experimental tests on the digitally controlled low voltage IM traction drive.

In this paper, an expert PID controller used for digitally controlled DC-DC buck converters is proposed. It is designed bycombing expert theory with traditional PID theory, basing on the controlled objects and the knowledge of control laws. The controller uses the expert experiences to regulate the PID parameters online according to the dynamic characteristics of the system. The simulation and practical results indicated that, comparing with conventional PID controller, the expert PID controller which has faster startup transient response, smaller overshoot and more stable steady-state response, is better than conventional PID controller. It is well fit for the demand of control system.

This paper proposes a capacitor-less LDO with improved steady-state response and reduced transient overshoots and undershoots. The novelty in this approach is that the regulation is improved to a greater extent by the improved error amplifier in addition to improved transient response against five vital process corners. Also entire quiescent current required is kept below 100 . This LDO voltage regulator provides a constant 1.2 V output voltage against all load currents from zero to 50 mA with a maximum voltage drop of 200 mV. It is designed and tested using Spectre, targeted to be fabricated on UMC 180 nm.

This paper presents a design & implementation of 3P3Z (3-pole 3-zero) digital controller based on DSC (Digital Signal Controller) for low voltage synchronous Buck Converter. The proposed control involves one voltage control loop. Analog Type-3 controller is designed for Buck Converter using standard frequency response techniques.Type-3 analog controller transforms to 3P3Z controller in discrete domain.Matlab/Simulink model of the Buck Converter with digital controller is developed. Simualtion results for steady state response and load transient response is tested using the model.

Various signal processing techniques are introduced into the structural dynamics literature, notably higher-order spectra for steady-state response and wavelet transforms for transient response of systems. The structural behavior of the buckled beam, modeled by the one-mode Galerkin approximation is examined to demonstrate the utility of the techniques. Higher-order spectra illuminate nonlinear energy coupling mechanisms in the frequency domain for the steady state response. Wavelet transforms show the development of the frequency spectrum in the transient portion of the response.
