Song Yuan Huaya (the Huaya of the Song and Yuan Dynasties) is a type of seal featuring figurative patterns and sometimes decorated with ciphered or ethnic characters. Their origins are the Song and Yuan Dynasties, although their influence extends to the Ming (1368–1644 CE) and Qing (1644–1912 CE) Dynasties. Although it is based on the Chinese Han seal tradition, Song Yuan Huaya exhibits various elements from the influence of the Silk Road. This is thought to be the first time in Han seal history that the Steppe culture can be seen so abundantly on private seals. This paper takes an interdisciplinary approach to analyse, probably for the first time in the field, some cases of Song Yuan Huaya, in which a dialogue between the Han seal tradition and Silk Road culture occurs. The findings will hopefully advance the understanding of the complicated nature of the art history, society, peoples, and ethnic relationships in question, and will serve as the starting point for further studies of intercultural communication during specific historical periods.

Il-Khanid seals and coins are a type of seal featuring figurative patterns typically characterized by the Rectangular style of Kufic script, the absence of figures, extensive use of calligraphy, geometric, and abstract patterns. Although it is based on the Persian seal-carving tradition, the Īl-Khānids seals and coins exhibit various elements from the Chinese seals (印章), and also similar in their style to the Mongolian writing systems. While the Silk Road, the central path for trade and economic purposes, brought together China and Persia, the two nations had strong influences regarding culture, tradition, and religion, and Persian art has applied many Chinese artistic elements, particularly in the art of seal making. Indeed, the historical evidence suggests that the Mongolian Empire employed the Chinese seals (印章) throughout their territory, stretching from China to Persia. The intercultural influences through the Silk Road seem to be well-rooted in Central Asia, and for the first time, Chinese culture is seen abundantly in the Īl-Khānids seal history, as well as the Rectangular style of Kufic script on the seals and coins, influenced by the Uighur script. This paper uses an interdisciplinary approach to analyse the Chinese and the Īl-Khānids seals and coins to survey transmission of the Chinese tradition through Silk Road cultural exchanges. The results show that there exists a strong possibility that the manner in which the writing of Arabic characters in the Rectangular Kufic writing system was inserted at the top to the bottom unexpectedly followed the style of Mongolian words.

Earth is continents, seas, the developing countries, the developed countries, the centers and the borders is the One Belt-One Road initiative. On the other hand, the Sea “Silk Road” is called the “Economic Belt of the Silk Road” as a way of “New Belt and Road” for China's new long-term development strategy. "Silk Road" refers to the ancient land-based commercial trade route that originated in ancient China and connected to Asia, Africa and Europe.In order to benefit from the “Economic Belt of the Silk Road” initiative, China has partnered with other Asian countries and created two important financial development institutions, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the Silk Road Fund.The main objective of the initiative is to create an Eurasian trade economic integration space and cross-border transport corridors, that is, to strengthen the links between government policies and national development strategies along the route, promote international cooperation, and promote the development of joint ventures. For this purpose, the following tasks have been set: 1. Development of regional economic integration method; 2. Create an integrated transportation design for Asian transportation, connect communication networks, and develop pipeline systems; 3. Switch back to investment and trade barriers and create a good investment environment; 4.Strengthen national currency; 5.Deepening cooperation in the humanitarian field; 6.Expanding China's exports and domestic power growth will be concentrated in the western provinces (steel, lead, photovoltaic equipment, wind turbines).The “One Belt and One Road” is a new starting point for China-global relations and human development. Utilize the geographical advantages of Mongolia, China and Russia to increase cross-border trade between Mongolia, Russia and China, creating opportunities for logistics and transportation. China is one of the Mongolia's largest sources of foreign direct investment and is seen as a huge market for Mongolia to provide services and products.Mongolia hopes to unite its “Steppe Road” initiative with China’s “One Belt and One Road” initiative. The goal of the “Steppe Road” initiative aims to expand the Mongolian economy through cross-border transportation, strengthen the road line connecting Russia and China, transform and extend the current railway line in Mongolia, and build oil and gas between Russia and China. The pipeline improves the infrastructure of Mongolia. Mongolia and other Asian countries are actively participating in the “One Belt and One Road” initiative implemented in China to reduce risks and threats and gain new opportunities and advantages in regional cooperation.

Purpose of the study: This study sought to establish the possible financial or economic benefits that could be derived from the Silk Road Economic Belt project. Emphasis was laid on the perceptions of citizens of the nations of Afghanistan and China on how the project will impact them as a nation, organizations, and individuals. Methodology: The study took a mixed approach with the main focus being on a qualitative approach with some aspect of quantitative analysis. Results: It was found that the respondents perceived the project to be of great importance that would have financial impacts on both Afghanistan and China, with conditions of good governance being prominent. Applications of this study: This research can be used for the universities, teachers, and students. Novelty/Originality of this study: In this paper, for the first time impacts of the Chinese Serb on Afghanistan has been studied.

In recent years, the strategic development concept of “the Belt and Road Initiative” has been put forward in China, which brought new significance and connotation to the development of “Silk Road” in this era of globalization, digitalization and knowledge. As the starting point of the Silk Road, Xi 'an is also an international cultural metropolis that is further building and promoting economic prosperity and development. This special location has entrusted its unusual historical task. As the campus of Xi 'an Jiaotong University, the scientific and Technological Innovation Port in western China, located in Xi 'an, needs the rendering and influence of Silk Road culture. Therefore, in order to make teachers and students consciously inherit and appreciate the Silk Road culture, it is of great significance to make the diversity of the Silk Road culture reflect on the campus and create a unique campus landscape. The paper is divided into five chapters. Firstly, it summarises the development of Silk Road culture from different dimensions such as era, level and region, extracts different categories of elements, summarises them with the analysis of the research of Suzhou Silk Museum, and discusses how to apply these elements to campus landscape design. Take the landscape of the green space in the east part of the Innovation Port as a design sample, combine with the field investigation and analysis, further outline the shape, path, colour, material and plant elements, follow the principles and principles of campus landscape design, enumerate the plant elements with data, explore new application methods, define the design concept with characteristics, from the road, culture and ecological landscape configuration, characteristic silk road culture elements in the whole site. In this way, the Silk Road culture can be inherited, history can embrace the future, and a distinctive campus landscape can be created that adapts to the new trends of the times.

The Silk Road, a major traffic route across the Eurasia continent, has been a convergence for the exchange, communication and dissemination of various cultures such as nations, materials, religions and arts for more than two thousand years. And the cultural heritage along the long and complicate route has been also attractive. In recent years, the Silk Road – the Road Network along the Chang’an-Tianshan Mountain has been listed in the Directory of World Cultural Heritage. The rare and rich cultural resources along the Silk Road, especially those in the territory of China, have attracted attentions of the world. <br><br> This article describes the research ideas, methods, processes and results of the planning design on the internet-based dissemination services platform system for cultural heritage resources. First of all, it has defined the targeting for dissemination services and the research methods applied for the Silk Road heritage resources, based on scientific and objective spatial measurement and research on history and geography, to carry on the excavation of values of cultural resource for the target users. Then, with the front-end art exhibit by means of innovative IT, time and space maps of cultural heritage resources, interactive graphics display, panoramic three-dimensional virtual tour, and the Silk Road topics as the main features, a comprehensive and multi-angle cultural resources dissemination services platform is built. The research core of the platform is a demand-oriented system design on the basis of cultural resources and features as the fundamental, the value of contemporary manifestation as the foundation, and cultural dissemination and service as a starting point. This platform has achieved, temporal context generalization, interest profiles extension, online and offline adaptation, and other prominent innovations. On the basis of routes heritage resource protection and dissemination services with complex relationship between time and space, and the Silk Road as the representative, practice and research of the platform in the internet context help to provide an application reference and theoretical basis.

The purpose of the article reveals the conceptual statements of the artistic personality in the XXI century by studying and generalizing humanitarian study theses. The research methodology: the biographic, analytical, historical, hermeneutic, systemic approaches were applied, which enabled the complex review of the aforementioned question. The scientific novelty. For the first time ever, the specifics of an artist’s chronicles under nowadays’ civilization conditions were rendered within the national art history framework. Conclusions. On the boundary of the XX – XXI centuries, an outstanding profile’s biography experienced considerable transformations referring to epoch changes and filled with new philosophic senses having reflected the trans-modern atmosphere. The contemporary chronicle is a complex dialectic phenomenon. It is culture-centered, contextual (aspiring after involving the novel character in human civilization continuum), and trying to solve current anthropological issues, as well as to regard the agent as the universal ontological codes bearer, and to declare the value of an artistic individual, etc. Meanwhile, the abovementioned genre reveals the epoch controversy being manifested via lack of moral ideals, ethics, and aesthetic canons, and personified leaders. The consequence of the situation is the fact of the chronicles being not necessarily identical to its actual prototype, but rather suggesting a possible variant of interpreting its essence.  Their author provides an original vision of facts and phenomena of the artist’s being, constructs, and represents the subject’s model in the available form reflecting the following: the master’s image; the concrete epoch’s portrait; the researcher’s autobiography. From this information source, the recipient builds his own history of the novel character. The methodology of rendering an artistic personality’s biography is based on the integration of humanitarian study advances, as well as an interdisciplinary approach, the interaction of various science discourses, contexts, senses, etc. Keywords: biography; master; art history; culture; humanitarian study.

International collaborations among higher education institutions have existed along the Silk Road for a long time. With the initiative of the Belt and Road, it is believed that cooperation among universities and colleges may be influenced in various respects. In this study, seventeen university consortia that have been formed in the last thirty years along the Silk Road were investigated, including the membership structure, their starting point, goals and developments of these consortia, and the roles of world-class universities. The findings showed: 1) these consortia share the similar goals of multinational collaboration to foster solutions to new global challenges; 2) the thirty-year development of these consortia was divided into three phases, and most of the member universities are from the EU, China, and the US; 3) world-class universities were, are and will be playing the leading roles in these consortia continuously.

The Silk Road as an image is a relatively new one for Afghanistan. It appeals to both the pre-Islamic and the perceived Islamic past, thus offering an Islamic balance to previous identities linked to Bamiyan or to the Kushans. It also appeals to a broader and more international image, one that has been taken up by many other countries. This paper traces the rise of the image of the Silk Road and its use as a metaphor for ancient trade to encompass all contacts throughout Eurasia, prehistoric, ancient and modern, but also how the image has been adopted and expanded into many other areas: politics, tourism and academia. It is argued here that the origin and popularity of the term lies in late 20th century (and increasingly 21st century) politics rather than any reality of ancient trade. Its consequent validity as a metaphor in academic discussion is questioned
