This article investigates German-speaking scholarship’s reception of the programme of scientific sociology that Durkheim presented in The Rules of Sociological Method. It highlights intra-European historical dynamics and academic hierarchies. References to national, cultural, disciplinary and theoretical frames of reference are clearly discernible in the ways the Rules have been read and Durkheim has been mapped. First, his reception was embedded in a complex geometry of power between two nation states during a historical period of competitive nationalism. Second, it was affected by the way he was perceived within networks of academics who occupied unequal geo-cultural positions inside and across nation states. At times, the special location assigned to him as a Jewish intellectual played an important role. Third, his positioning as a positivist within the specific epistemological structuring of sociology is key to understanding how he was perceived east of the Rhine.

AbstractThe current research was carried out in Wadi Elkor, one of the Sarawat Mountains regions, which is a special location from an environmental standpoint and one of the only places in Saudi Arabia where a range of Palaearctic flora co-exists with Afrotropical species. The study aimed to determine the floristic composition as well as the effects of slope aspect and elevation on species, life forms, and phytogeographical elements distribution. The study area is located in Wadi Elkor, a valley in the Sarawat Mountains that cuts off the Al-Hada escarpment, 47 km southeast of Makkah City, Saudi Arabia. We conducted the research at three different locations, each with a different elevation and slope aspect. Based on floristic composition, Ward classification moreover Jaccard comparisons were performed. A total of 189 species was discovered, divided into 131 genera and 43 families. The current study identified Argyrolobium rarum Dumme as a new vascular plant in Saudi Arabia's terrestrial flora. In the current study, the Gramineae, Leguminosae, and Compositae families contributed 29% of the total plant species, whereas 14 families were represented by one species each. Solanum was the most numerous genus, with seven species, followed by Acacia and Pulicaria, each with six species, while Commicarpos and Euphorbia, each with four species. At an elevation of 1060 m above sea level, the north facing slope had the most plants, genera, and families. Therophytes had the most species, accounting for 44%, followed by Chamaephytes, which accounted for 26%. Hemicryptophytes accounted for 12% of the total, while phanerophytes accounted for 10%. In the studied area, the bioregional Saharo-Sindian and Sudano-Zambesian groups were the most well-represented (41%). The floristic composition, as well as the distribution of life forms and phytogeographical components, were found to be significantly affected by the elevation and slope aspects. The study showed that slope aspect and elevation both affected the distribution of plant species, with elevation being the most influential of the two variables.

With the development of radiography, especially digital subtraction cerebrovascular angiography, which is widely used in clinical practice, interventional embolization of intracranial aneurysms has become more and more popular due to its advantages of minimal invasiveness, high efficiency, and rapid postoperative recovery. The choice of patients, often we have to formulate an unconventional and individualized treatment plan based on the specific conditions of each patient’s blood vessel. This case is a segment A1 aneurysm of the right anterior cerebral artery. Due to its special location and wide diameter, in order to reduce the difficulty and risk of the operation during the operation, a bilateral internal carotid artery approach was developed to complete the stent-assisted procedure and special treatment plan for aneurysm embolization.

The article presents the issue of the powers of the president of the court in relation to professional probation officers who form the probation officer service in the area of jurisdiction of the district court. Due to the special location of court guardianship at the level of a district court and a regional court, the author focuses on the powers of presidents of regional courts and presidents of district courts, arising directly from the Act on probation officers or directly related to it. The aim of the study was to collect, systematize and organize the powers of court presidents under the Act on probation officers in such a way that it was possible to indicate which of these powers belong to the president of the regional court, and which belong to the president of the district court. The variety and specificity of the tasks entrusted to probation officers, the related task-related working time and the statutory self-government of this professional group may cause doubts as to the bodies authorized to exercise powers in relation to this professional group. Taking into account the organizational distinctness of the probation service in terms of supervision entrusted to the district probation officer, the author indicates the powers that the presidents of the district and regional courts have in relation to probation officers.

In recent years, the strategic development concept of “the Belt and Road Initiative” has been put forward in China, which brought new significance and connotation to the development of “Silk Road” in this era of globalization, digitalization and knowledge. As the starting point of the Silk Road, Xi 'an is also an international cultural metropolis that is further building and promoting economic prosperity and development. This special location has entrusted its unusual historical task. As the campus of Xi 'an Jiaotong University, the scientific and Technological Innovation Port in western China, located in Xi 'an, needs the rendering and influence of Silk Road culture. Therefore, in order to make teachers and students consciously inherit and appreciate the Silk Road culture, it is of great significance to make the diversity of the Silk Road culture reflect on the campus and create a unique campus landscape. The paper is divided into five chapters. Firstly, it summarises the development of Silk Road culture from different dimensions such as era, level and region, extracts different categories of elements, summarises them with the analysis of the research of Suzhou Silk Museum, and discusses how to apply these elements to campus landscape design. Take the landscape of the green space in the east part of the Innovation Port as a design sample, combine with the field investigation and analysis, further outline the shape, path, colour, material and plant elements, follow the principles and principles of campus landscape design, enumerate the plant elements with data, explore new application methods, define the design concept with characteristics, from the road, culture and ecological landscape configuration, characteristic silk road culture elements in the whole site. In this way, the Silk Road culture can be inherited, history can embrace the future, and a distinctive campus landscape can be created that adapts to the new trends of the times.

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge(HZMB) project, which has just been opened to traffic in 2018. The special location, construction conditions, quality requirements and multiple functions of HZMB brought many challenges, such as management, technology, safety and environmental protection. To meet these challenges and ensure the achievement of high quality and 120 years design service life, the HZMB project first introduced the completely new concept of "Large size, Factory production, Standardization and Assembly", which was fundamental to the design and construction. This was developed in consideration of the difficulties of the offshore environment. The core idea was Prefabrication and Assembly, which was to change this HZMB project into onshore work as much as possible by cutting this mega sea-crossing into large sized components, which could be prefabricated on land and then transported to the offshore site for assembly. The success of the HZMB undoubtedly has led the technology of prefabrication and assembly to a new height and recognized scale. This paper describes the implementation process of the concept; "Large size, Factory production, Standardization andAssembly" (LFSA) to the HZMB.

Abstract Purpose: The retroperitoneal robotic assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) is suitable for tumors locating on the posterior side of the kidney. However, the posterior hilar tumor poses additional surgical challenge due to the special location and poor tumor exposure. A novel kidney ventrally rotation technique to overcome this difficulty during retroperitoneal RAPN was developed, and its efficacy was assessed in a consecutive case series. Methods: From April 2017 to April 2019, a total of 24 patients with posterior renal hilar tumor underwent retroperitoneal RAPN. The kidney ventrally rotation technique was applied in all these cases, which specialized in improving the exposure of posterior hilar tumor by rotating the kidney ventrally. Perioperative data was analyzed to evaluate the efficacy of this technique. Results: The mean tumor size was 4.3 ± 1.7 cm (range 2.5-8 cm), and the median R.E.N.A.L score was 9 (range 7-12). All the 24 patients underwent RAPN successfully without converting to open surgery or radical nephrectomy. The mean operation time was 80 ± 24 min, the mean estimated blood loss was 104 ± 65 ml, and the warm ischemia time was 17.4 ± 6.6 min. No sever complications occurred, and no positive surgical margin was found in all the malignant cases. After 14 months follow-up, no recurrence or metastasis occurred in all cases. Conclusion: Kidney ventrally rotation technique is safe and feasible for improving the exposure of posterior renal hilar tumor during retroperitoneal RAPN. It could be regarded as an efficient method for the management of posterior hilar tumor.KEYWORDS: robotic surgery; partial nephrectomy; posterior hilar tumor; retroperitoneal approach; kidney rotation

AbstractIn its seventy-fifth year, the UN needs to reflect more seriously on its value in the current global scenario, the current flow of ideas, and the current flow of power that is prevalent in the world. It is important to recall that the UN was founded after World War II as a way of addressing conflict at the negotiating table rather than on the battlefield. Negotiating peace, attempting to provide some form of justice, and affirmation of human rights seemed to be the aspiration. It is within this context that women engaged in affirming their own special location in society and economy. However, over the years the UN has revealed its inability to fulfill these goals. Perhaps in the midst of all these failures, the only category of people that has drawn strength from the UN, but now has to leave it behind, are women. Scattered as they were across a world of distances, women of different cultures and classes found strength in numbers and, through the UN system and the conferences they convened, became a power of their own. As part of the special issue on “The United Nations at Seventy-Five: Looking Back to Look Forward,” this essay argues that today, however, women do not need and cannot have their aspirations be facilitated by the UN, because in their engagement with one another they have also recognized their differences. Being of similar gender does not necessarily overcome other oppressive differences.

Abstract Background Intraventricular silicone oil is a relatively rare complication resulted from silicone oil tamponade to treat retinal detachment. It is occasionally reported in previous literature. To the best of our knowledge, the long-term longitudinal comparisons of silicone oil both in the brain and in the postoperative eyeball based on CT/MRI were lacking, and intraventricular silicone oil accumulation beside lesions has been reported rarely. Case presentation A 63-year-old male patient underwent an intraocular tamponade with silicone oil in June 2009. Eight CT examinations and 2 MRI examinations were acquired between 2011 and 2018.The changes of silicone oil in the brain in CT/MRI as below: Silicone oil initially migration to bilateral lateral ventricular anterior horn was found in November 2011, it was aslo found at right side of suprasellar cisterna, and there was no change in location 6 h later; Silicone oil at the anterior horn of right lateral ventricle disappeared but remained at left lateral ventricle and right side of suprasellar cisterna in July 2014, and there was no change in location in a short-term reexamination. It was found at the middle of left lateral ventricle (adjacent to the real cause) in march 2018, but disappeared 3 months later, while remained at anterior horn of left lateral ventricular and right side of suprasellar cisterna all the time. There was no change in location in the next 2 follow-up (September and October in 2018). The CT values of silicone oil distributed throughout the brain were dynamically changed with time. Conclusion It is important to recognize intraventricular silicone oil in a particular location.More important is to discover “the real murderer”, which is the main cause of symptoms in the vicinity of special location. Moreover, the migration of silicone oil between eyeball and brain may not be always in a single direction.
