The purpose of this research is to identify the risks and deficiencies that affect the performance of companies that provide vehicle after-sales services. Thus, this paper highlights the results of a comparative study based on a questionnaire conducted at the level of six brands in the automotive industry. A model was developed to investigate the factors that affect the global performance of the after-sales sector and the authenticity of the information related to the issue studied. Moreover, based on the collected data, this study evaluates the strategies related to performance management used by the organizations studied. In the end, even if the results showed a score of 81% on the questionnaire, we found that companies that provide vehicle after-sales services have not implemented and do not maintain totally the strategies related to performance management. Consequently, the need for change can be emphasized. Based on the analyzed data in the second part of the paper, we identified deficiencies and risks in terms of the organization, operation and management of the service units. These results confirm that the vehicle repair service has a significant influence on employee and customer satisfaction, on the quality of the vehicles repaired and the repair completion time.

In recent years, performance management (PM) has become a buzzword in public sector organizations. Well-functioning PM systems rely on valid performance data, but critics point out that conflicting rationale or logic among professional staff in recording information can undermine the quality of the data. Based on a case study of social service staff members, the authors explore three recording logics. The findings reveal a complexity of recording behavior and show how frontline staff shift between recording logics according to the situation. The actual data recordings depend not only on the overall logic but also on factors such as attitudes, assumptions, and motives. The authors suggest that shifting recording logics weaken the validity of performance data. These shifts undermine the idea of PM as a trustworthy strategy to bridge the gap between professional and managerial staff, as well as the possibility of a well-informed management.

This study aims to look at the analysis of the influence of consumer perceptions of price, location, and modern market quality on consumer buying interest in PT. Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Padang Branch (case study at the Robinson Supermarket Padang Branch). The sample in this study was measured by distributing questionnaires to 100 consumers at the Padang branch of Robinson Supermarket so that there were 100 research samples. Based on the results of the partial t test it can be concluded that prices have a negative and significant effect on consumer buying interest because the significance value is 0.047 < 0.05 which is supported by the value of t count of -2,016 < t table of -1,983. Based on the partial t test it can be concluded that the location has a positive and significant influence on consumer buying interest because the significance value is 0.003 < 0.05 which is supported by the value of t count of 3.037 > t table of 1.983. Based on the partial t test it can be concluded that market quality has a positive and significant influence on consumer buying interest because the significance value is 0,000 <0,05 which is supported by the value of t count of 9,298 > t table of 1,983. Based on the simultaneous F test it can be concluded that the price, location and market quality together or simultaneously have an influence on consumer buying interest because the significance value for the simultaneous F test is 0,000 < 0,05 which is supported by the calculated F value of 68,843 > F table amounting to 2,462. The ability of the independent variable in this case is the price, location and market quality of the dependent variable in this case is the consumer buying interest of 67.3% while the remaining 33.7% is influenced by other variables other than variables not included in the research model such as promotion. Keywords: price, location, market quality, and consumer buying interest

This article is aimed to investigation of four different PVD coatings of STATON company in order to determine a wear behavior on twist drills when drilling C45 material. A pearlite-ferrite structure of C45 material is common material for automotive industry and highly abrasive to cutting tools. Our comparative study is focused on flank wear of the cutting wedge of observed drills deposited at STATON. The article shows differences in chemical composition and their effects on wear behavior at the corner of the drill and along the cutting edge. We also demonstrate that chemical composition has significant influence on the temperature of a build-up edge during cutting.

This study is related to a case study using a prioritization tool derived from the gravity, urgency and tendency (GUT) matrix, applied to a machining line in the automotive sector of a factory located in Vale do Paraíba - São Paulo (SP). This monograph addressed the implementation of a prioritization tool to aid in the definition of priorities to be work on with the aim of improving the indicators of quality of the group, reducing the rate of reworks and rejects. It is a qualitative exploratory study. The information was collected through documentary research. The information/data obtained were treated with data tabulation using spreadsheets developed in Excel Microsoft. It was found through the results that the rework index decreased 7.57% in the period from 2016 to 2019 and the reject index decreased by 3.74% in the same period. It was concluded that the objective of the general research was achieved through the validation of the priority analysis tool (derived from the GUT matrix) in a machining line as an efficient tool and which brought positive results in terms of reducing the rework and reject wastes of production.
