A striking characteristic of Songs of the Sabbath Sacrifice is the lack of clarity as to when the participants are human and when angelic. Scholarly opinion has been divided on the question. Fletcher-Louis, for instance, argued for an “angelomorphic” theology in Songs of the Sabbath Sacrifice. Scholars regard this text as an example of mysticism at Qumran, but the root of the term “mystic” (to conceal) warns of the difficulties inherent in any analysis of mystical texts because such texts arise from religious experience of a transcendent divine presence only accessible subjectively. In a previous article on ambiguity in the First Song it was argued in support of Fletcher-Louis that the text was deliberately constructed to create ambiguity between angelic agents and sectarian participants for rhetorical purposes. This article resorts to insights from cognitive neuroscience in order to reconsider current scholarly opinion on this matter.

There seems to have been little change in financial statements from Grammateus to 1911. This article contains a 1911 practice set which was used to teach transaction accounting as well as trial balance and statement preparation along the lines described in the previous article.

The necessity of explicating metatheoretical assumptions regarding the view on reality in cientific practical theological research This article is the second in the research project “Metatheoretical assumptions in Practical Theology”. In this project – as indicated in the previous article − a group of reformed theologians is elucidating and discussing their metatheoretical and other perspectives regarding research in Practical Theology. In this article the necessity to explain metatheoretical assumptions concerning a view on reality, is discussed from a reformed perspective. The practical theological implications of a view on reality with its roots in the sixteenth-century protestant Reformation are critically compared with an alternative view on reality in the contemporary context which focuses more on the horizontal dimension of the action events taking place in praxis. This comparison is done with a view to responding to this alternative view in a responsible way. Essential characteristics of the sixteenth-century reformed view on reality seem to be its Scripture-determined vision and theocentric focus as well as the way in which human life and actions are represented as reflections of the “imago Dei”. The need to critically reflect on these characteristics and to newly align this view on reality with respect to challenges posed in the contemporary context, is explored.

In this article, we present the numerical analysis of a Free Standing Riser. The numerical simulation was carried out using a commercial riser analysis software suit. The numerical model’s dimensions were the same of a 1/70 reduced scale model deployed in a previous experiment. The numerical results were compared with experimental results presented in a previous article [1]. Discussion about the model and limitations of the numerical analysis is included.

Since over 80 new ministers have entered French cabinets subsequent to the period covered in a previous article in this REVIEW, the figures supplied therein may well be brought down more closely to date. During the 805 months between February 19, 1871, and March 13, 1938, 434 persons, under-secretaries excluded, have formed the 106 separately appointed or reappointed councils of ministers. The question as to how many different cabinets France has had under the Third Republic may be left to metaphysicians. Almost every newly-appointed Conseil contains a large percentage of those who served in its predecessor. Cabinets which resign upon the election of a new president of the Republic are frequently reappointed in toto. Some cabinets have served for only a few days.

We present a short history of the Ermakov equation with an emphasis on its discovery by thewest and the subsequent boost to research into invariants for nonlinear systems although recognizing some of the significant developments in the east. We present the modern context of the Ermakov equation in the algebraic and singularity theory of ordinary differential equations and applications to more divers fields. The reader is referred to the previous article (Appl. Anal. Discrete math., 2 (2008), 123-145) for an english translation of Ermakov's original paper.

A Previous article in this journal gave some account of Terence quotations in Priscian. A similar account for Servius is necessary. Umpf en bach's summary is far from accurate; and it has the serious defect that no distinction is made between Servius proper and the material peculiar to the enlarged Commentary. With Thilo's warning that the evidence is all against the assumption that the enlarged Commentary is a truer representation of what Servius himself wrote, we should, in any problem relating to Servius, confine ourselves strictly to what we know to be his work.

In the previous article, we examined the rules for the initial measurement of property, plant and equipment established by the new Federal Accounting Standards (FAS) for non-public sector organizations, including healthcare organizations. This article analyzes the regulations for the subsequent measurement of these assets contained in the new FAS 6/2020 “Property, plant and equipment” and coming into force from 2022. At the same time, the article examines the most important innovations of this FAS in the field of subsequent measurement of property, plant and equipment in the accounting of non-public sector organizations (including healthcare organizations), identifies problematic issues in this area and provides recommendations for their solution.

Acute pulmonary embolism (PE) is a common presentation on the acute medical take. In our previous article in Vol 6 issue 1 we discussed the diagnostic approach to this condition. This article concentrates on the treatment of PE, including guidance for treatment of PE in pregnancy and cancer. This article also discusses the role of alternative anticoagulants, thrombolysis, surgery and inferior vena caval filters.
