In order to solve the problem of vigorous vibration of agricultural machinery frames, taking a vegetable precision seeder as an example, the concept of vibration reduction was proposed. The modal analysis of the frame was carried out, and the accuracy of the finite element model was verified by comparing the modal test of multipoint input and multipoint output (MIMO) and simulation results. Additionally, the main frequency of engine vibration was the main excitation source of frame resonance. According to the modal shapes, it was proposed to increase the fixed beam structure and to carry out simulation tests. The time-domain signal of the maximum deformation position in the first-order vibration mode was measured, and the vibration spectrum analysis maps before and after optimization were obtained by Fourier transform. A field experiment showed that the seeding quality of the whole machine was significantly improved after optimization. This study provides a reference for the analysis of vibration characteristics and the vibration reduction design of the agricultural machinery equipment.

In order to get the load spectrum that reflects the actual operation condition of agricultural machinery, this paper proposes to compile the load spectrum of frame by combining the method of load mileage extrapolation and percentile extrapolation. In this paper, the research object was carried out in the frame of vegetable tool carrier to study load spectrum and fatigue life. The finite element analysis of the frame is carried out, and a set of stress load test system is established based on the analysis results, and the stress time course is obtained under typical working conditions. The time domain signal is converted into frequency domain signal by rainflow counting method, and frequency statistics are carried out. According to the “From-to” matrix, the “Mean based ellipse” kernel function is used for non-parametric rainflow matrix extrapolation, considering the influence of different drivers in the actual operation, the load of three conditions is extrapolated by percentile. According to wave center method, developing eight two-dimensional load spectrum of the vegetable tool carrier frame and one-dimensional load spectrum that reflects of actual loading situation, which provides a reference for the compilation of load spectrum in agricultural machinery.

Some controllable process parameters in the riveting process such as the gap between sheets, have an important impact on the quality of a riveted butt joint. In this paper, the finite element model of a riveted single-strap butt joint is established with the help of ABAQUS analysis software, and the riveting process is simulated under five kinds of gaps between sheets. From the perspectives of rivet upsetting size, rivet interference, radial deformation of sheet, and analysis of residual stress around the hole of sheet, the influence of the gap between sheets on the connection quality of the riveted butt joint is summarized. The results show that the left and right sheets will contact each other and there is extrusion stress between the sheets when the gap is zero. When the applied tensile load continues to increase, due to the influence of the secondary bending, the strap sheet responsible for the connection produces warping deformation, and there will be no further contact between the sheets. When the gap between sheets increases from 0 to 2 mm, the maximum deformation of strap sheets increases from 0.876 to 0.927 mm, which proves that the gap between sheets have no significant effect on the deformation of the strap sheet.

Abstract In recent years, the awareness of environmental protection has risen, and modern people’s quality of life has improved. Bicycles are no longer just general transportation and carrying tools, but evolved into the need to emphasize comfortable riding, energy-saving and carbon reduction, and physical fitness. In this study, the different vehicle-to-weight ratio and road bumpiness before and after designing the bicycle frame’s damping and stiffness parameters were considered. The simulation results designate that the seat acceleration in both the y and z-axis is adequate constant, and the seat velocity gradually increases, whereas the vertical seat displacement of damped has significantly reduced compared with undamped.

Dynamic response of pavement provides service condition information and helps with damage prediction, while limited research is available with the simulation of pavement vibration response for evaluating roadway service condition. This paper presents a numerical model for the analysis of the pavement vibration due to the dynamic load created by a passing vehicle. A quarter vehicle model was used for the determination of the vehicle moving load. Both random and spatial characteristics of the load were considered. The random nonuniform moving load was then introduced in a 3D finite element model for the determination of the traffic-induced pavement vibration. The validated numerical model was used to assess the effects of dynamic load, material properties, and pavement structures on pavement vibration response. Numerical analyses showed that the vibration modes changed considerably for the different roadway service conditions. The vibration signals reflect the level of road roughness, the stiffness of the pavement materials, and the integrity of pavement structure. The acceleration extrema, the time-domain signal waveform, the frequency distribution, and the sum of squares of Fourier amplitude can be potential indexes for evaluating roadway service condition. This provides recommendations for the application of pavement vibration response in early-warning and timely maintenance of road.

The purpose of this study is (1) to analyze public perception on urban services before and after the expansion of the region, (2) analyze the level of people's satisfaction with urban services, and (3) analyze the determinants of the variables that determine what level of people's satisfaction urban services. This study concluded that first, after the expansion, the quality of urban services in South Tangerang City is better than before. Secondly, however, public satisfaction with the services only reached 48.53% (poor scale). Third, by using a Cartesian Diagram, the second priority that must be addressed are: (1) clarity of service personnel, (2) the discipline of service personnel, (3) responsibility for care workers; (4) the speed of service, (5) the ability of officers services, (6) obtain justice services, and (7) the courtesy and hospitality workers.

Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam which has a function of faith, social and economic functions. Muslims who can pay zakat are required to give at least 2.5 per cent of their wealth. The problem of poverty prevalent in disadvantaged regions because of the difficulty of access to information and communication led to a gap that is so high in wealth and resources. The instrument of zakat provides a paradigm in the achievement of equitable wealth distribution and healthy circulation. Zakat potentially offers a better life and improves the quality of human being. There is a human quality improvement not only in economic terms but also in spiritual terms such as improving religiousity. This study aims to examine the role of zakat to alleviate humanitarian issues in disadvantaged regions such as Sijunjung, one of zakat beneficiaries and impoverished areas in Indonesia. The researcher attempted a Cibest method to capture the impact of zakat beneficiaries before and after becoming a member of Zakat Community Development (ZCD) Program in material and spiritual value. The overall analysis shows that zakat has a positive impact on disadvantaged regions development and enhance the quality of life of the community. There is an improvement in the average of mustahik household incomes after becoming a member of ZCD Program. Cibest model demonstrates that material, spiritual, and absolute poverty index decreased by 10, 5, and 6 per cent. Meanwhile, the welfare index is increased by 21 per cent. These findings have significant implications for developing the quality of life in disadvantaged regions in Sijunjung. Therefore, zakat is one of the instruments to change the status of disadvantaged areas to be equivalent to other areas.

Introduction: There is a decline in male fertility thus new treatments are needed. Aims: To test the efficacy of a new dietary supplement developed in the USA and registered as a curing drug in Hungary (OGYI). Methods: In a clinical trial 100 men with low sperm quality (spermium count 5–20 M/ml, good motility 10–40%, and adverse shape 30–50%) were examined. Results: Sperm parameters were measured before and after a 3-month treatment and after another 3-month without treatment. This dietary supplement statistically and clinically significantly improved sperm count and motility. In 74 cases this dietary supplement demonstrated a beneficial effect on sperm quality (more than 10% increase in sperm count, or quality of motility, or shape); in 16 cases the improvement exceeded 30%. No adverse effect could be accounted for this treatment. Conclusions: This new dietary supplement may contribute to the treatment of male infertility. Orv. Hetil., 2012, 153, 1787–1792.
