The study provides the impact of social capital on credit choices and growth of household businesses in Vietnam by using a data sample of 3,813 observations. Social capital is considered at different levels: micro for human capital and macro for social networks. It concludes that although both levels of social capital influence credit choices of household businesses, the micro level of social capital plays an important role in improving the household business’s growth, including asset and income growth. The study develops a broader view about the use of resources and financing choices in household businesses in Vietnam. Accordingly, it highlights the importance of social capital from multiple aspects — the household business itself, human capital, social networks and government — on the development of Vietnamese household businesses.

Social media has become a vital source of communication for older adults, but its impact is still an ongoing debate. This study investigated the moderating effect of Line and Facebook use on social capital and loneliness in older adults, aged 55 or more, using data obtained from the 2018 Taiwan Communication Survey (TCS). Results from binary logistic regression indicated that older adult users of Line have a lower possibility of being lonely than those who do not use Line. Consistent with past studies, this study found that Line could be a form of social media that has a positive effect on the relationship between social capital and loneliness. Conversely, this article argues that Facebook does not have such a moderation effect. Overall, this study advances understanding of the impact of Facebook and Line on social capital and loneliness. The results are informative for future research on the effects of social media on the elderly.

Today, the main goal for any country is to ensure economic growth (quantitative changes) and economic development (qualitative changes). Based on the main macroeconomic identity, one of the most important factors of economic growth, GDP growth, is the size of consumption (C, consumption). Consumption directly depends on the amount of income, first of all, labor income, which is formed in the labor market. In turn, the amount of labor income is determined by the impact of a number of factors that affect the income of employees at the macro and micro levels. On the one hand, the size of a country's GDP is calculated as the sum of income from the use of various factors of production. But, on the other hand, the general state of the national economy is a significant factor in the amount of individual income. At the micro level of the economy, the individual income of employees highly depends on the significance of the profession and industry for the country's economy, the level of qualification of the employee, the experience and length of service in this profession, the position held, etc. A very important factor in an employee's career success and income is social capital accumulated by him or her. Let's look at how social capital "works" in the labor market: 1) What is social capital at the micro level? 2) How are social and human capitals linked? 3) How are social capital and information about the labor market situation related? 4) What are the most general trends in the development of the labor market and what is the role of social capital in the new conditions?

The paper provides a critical analysis of the idea of technological unemployment. The overview of the existing literature on the employment effects of technological change shows that on the micro-level there exists strong and positive relationship between innovations and employment growth in firms; on the sectoral level this correlation becomes ambiguous; on the macro-level the impact of new technologies seems to be positive or neutral. This implies that fears of explosive growth of technological unemployment in the foreseeable future are exaggerated. Our analysis further suggests that new technologies affect mostly the structure of employment rather than its level. Additionally we argue that automation and digitalisation would change mostly task sets within particular occupations rather than distribution of workers by occupations.

The paper deals with economics of social capital which is defined as the capacity of society for collective action in pursuit of common good. Particular attention is paid to the interaction between social capital and formal institutions, and the impact of social capital on government efficiency. Structure of social capital and the dichotomy between its bonding and bridging forms are analyzed. Social capital measurement, its economic payoff, and transmission channels between social capital and economic outcomes are discussed. In the concluding section of the paper we summarize the results of our analysis of the role of social capital in economic conditions and welfare of Russian cities.

<p><strong>A</strong><strong>bstract</strong><strong>. </strong>This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model to improve student learning outcomes. This research is important because the lecture learning model makes learning meaningless so it impacts on low learning outcomes. This research uses quasi experiment using control class and experimental class. Respondents in this study were students of class X SMK 8 Semarang Academic Year 2017/2018. Sample selection using random sampling, class X1 is <em>used</em> as a control class and X2 is an experimental class. The experimental class was given an intervention by learning Teams Games Tournaments (TGT), while the control class used lecture learning. The effectiveness of the model was measured by the student test analysis method. then analyzed by completeness test and average difference test.
