Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which one consciously pays attention to being fully present in the moment. Research has shown that mindfulness can lower anxiety, stress, and hopelessness. This fact may also apply to people in special circumstances, such as those in the military. Therefore, we examined the relationship between perceived stress, mindfulness, and hopelessness among military soldiers. Specifically, we verified the moderating effect of mindfulness on the relationship between perceived stress and mindfulness. We surveyed 309 Korean military soldiers and a total of 257 data were analyzed through descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. Our results showed that perceived stress, mindfulness, and hopelessness are interrelated, and that mindfulness moderated the influence of perceived stress on hopelessness. In other words, the lower the level of mindfulness, the greater the hopelessness when the perceived stress increased. This study suggests that conducting mindfulness training for soldiers can benefit soldiers’ adaptation to military life.

Abstract Introduction South Korea maintains a mandatory military duty, and high percentage of conscript soldiers have difficulty adjusting to military life. The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of the stress response on the relationship between soldiers’ perceived stress and military life adjustment and to clarify the moderating effect of cohesion on this relationship. Materials and Methods The study’s participants were 285 Korean military soldiers who are obliged to serve in the military and they completed the Perceived Stress Scale, the Stress Response Scale, the Military Life Adjustment, and the Group Cohesion Scale. Analysis methods included descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, path analysis, bootstrapping, collinearity statistic, and hierarchical regression analysis. This research obtained the approval of the institutional review board of the university (HYI-18-229-1). Results First, a partial mediation effect of the stress response was found in the relationship between soldiers’ perceived stress and military life adjustment. That is, a high level of soldiers’ perceived stress was related to their military life maladjustment. Moreover, the greater the level of soldiers’ perceived stress, the greater the stress response, and, in turn, the greater the military life maladjustment. Second, we found the moderating effect of cohesion in the relationship between stress perception and military life adjustment. Conclusions The stress perceived by soldiers not only directly affects their military life adjustment but also indirectly affects their adjustment through the stress responses. In addition, soldiers’ levels of adjustment to military life change significantly based on cohesion levels only when they perceive less stress.

Select 45 pieces of silk, cotton and wool fabrics in total, with semi-circular skirt modeling as object of study, investigate the relationship between flare sagging in straight & inclined grains of skirt pieces and fabric types, analyze the influence of hem parameters on flare sagging of semi-circular skirt and obtain multiple linear regression equation by disposing the measured data with SPSS statistical analysis software. The study result shows that the skirt hem of silk fabric is sagging more significantly than that of cotton and wool fabrics and there is a multi-linear relationship between semi-circular flare sagging and parameters. The research of this subject has both theoretical value and practical value.

AbstractDrawing upon the resource-based and relational view, this study examines how the three types of IT competencies (i.e., IT objects, IT operations, and IT knowledge) differentially affect firm performance and how such effects are moderated by interorganizational communication (IOC). We test the hypotheses of interest with data collected from 258 firms in China. The results of hierarchical regression analysis reveal that IT operations and IT knowledge significantly improve firm performance, while IT objects are found to be insignificant. In addition, the moderating effect of IOC on the relationship between the three types of IT competencies and firm performance varies across diffenent types of IT competencies. Specifically, IOC positively moderates the relationship between both IT operations and IT knowledge and firm performance. However, the moderating effect of IOC on the relationship between IT objects and firm performance is not significant.

The main problem in this study is to determine the relationship between the educational contributions of parents and the learning outcomes of grade III students of SD Inpres Jongaya, Makassar City. This study aims to determine the extent of the relationship between the educational contributions of parents and the learning outcomes of class III SD Inpres Jongaya Makassar City. The type of research used is correlational, this study seeks to reveal the relationship between the educational contribution of parents and social studies learning outcomes of students at SD Inpres Jongaya, Makassar City. The subjects in this study were 31 class III students. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used to analyze the research data was inferential descriptive statistical analysis using product moment correlation analysis for hypothesis testing. The results in this study indicate that there is an educational contribution from parents to grade III SD Inpres Jongaya students in the medium category with average learning outcomes. -average 82.3. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between Parents' Educational Contribution and Learning Outcomes of Class III students of SD Inpres Jongaya Makassar City.

The purpose of this research is to find out how the effect implementation of Self Assessment System (SAS), Tax Payer Knowledge (PWP), Service Quality (KP) on Non-employee Personal Taxpayer Compliance at Tax Service Pratama Ciamis (KPP) in 2017. This study uses incidental sampling with a total sample of 99 non-employee Personal Taxpayers at KPP Pratama Ciamis. The analytical method in this study is descriptive statistical analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis analysis. This study shows that the implementation of SAS, PWP, and KP simultaneous affects the compliance of non-employee individual taxpayers at KPP Pratama Ciamis, and then the results of partial testing show that they are have a positive and significant effect on the compliance of non-employee Personal Taxpayers at KPP Pratama Ciamis. Keywords: Non-employee Personal Taxpayers, Self Assessment System, Service Quality, Taxpayer Knowledge, Taxpayer Compliance

The aims of this study were: to describe farm rice cultivation with tapin and tabela systems practiced by subak and non-subak farmers; to find out the efficiency of farm rice cultivation with tapin and tabela systems on subak and non-subak farmers; to establish the relationship between socio-cultural subak and the efficiency of farm rice cultivation. The study was conducted from June to December 2016. Objects of the study were subak and non-subak farmers who adopted tapin and tabela systems. Data were collected using observation, interview, and study of literature. A total of 60 samples/respondents which were determined purposively and randomly. A descriptive statistical analysis and R/C ratio analysis were used to analyze data. Results of the study showed that: farm rice cultivation by subak farmers who adopted tapin and tabela system was different from that of non-subak farmers, particularly in social and religious aspects; the productivity and efficiency value of subak farmers was higher than that of non-subak farmers, with the subak farmers using tapin and tabela system gained a total of productivity value of Rp 20.741.945,-/hectare and those adopting tabela system reached Rp 20.493.410,-/hectare, and the efficiency value of tapin and tabela was 2.23 and 2.56 respectively. The productivity value of non-subak farmers was lower, with Rp 15.972.705,-/hectare and Rp 15.050.000,-/hectare gained by tapin system and tabela system respectively; it was found from a cross table analysis that the mean score of technology applied by subak farmers per respondent was higher than that of non-subak farmers, which was 12: 9.5 in the tapin system, and 11.27:9 in the tabela system. Based on the score of technology and R/C values, it could be established that there was no relationship between R/C both subak and non-subak.  Keywords: socio-cultural; subak; tapin, tabela; productivity; efficiency.
