Understanding methods of vector control is essential to vector-borne disease (VBD) management. Vaccines or standard medical interventions for many VDBs do not exist or are poorly developed so disease control is focused on managing vector numbers and dynamics. This involves understanding not only the population dynamics but also the population genetics of vectors. Using mosquitoes as a case study, in this chapter, the modern genetics-based methods of vector control (self-limiting, self-sustaining) on mosquito population and disease suppression will be reviewed. These genetics-based methods highlight the importance of understanding the interplay between genetics and ecology to develop optimal, cost-effective solutions for control. The chapter focuses on how these genetics-based methods can be integrated with other interventions, and concludes with a summary of regulatory and policy perspectives about the use of these approaches in the management of VBDs.

This article explores the role of social media in facilitating women entrepreneurs in India. It adopts a case study approach to explore the effectiveness of social media platforms in supporting women entrepreneurs. PULA (Pune Ladies), a closed Facebook Group, set up in 2015 for women in Pune, was selected as a case study. Fifteen in-depth interviews were conducted among 15 active women entrepreneurs of this group to explore the benefits received in terms of visibility, marketing opportunities, revenue generation, psychological benefits (sense of belongingness, self-confidence, motivation), and counselling to name a few. Their responses were analyzed for commonalities and divergences. The article finds that PULA not only offers a cost-effective platform for women entrepreneurs to showcase their products/services but also helps them in enhancing the visibility and financial performance of their businesses. The findings of this study will guide women entrepreneurs in leveraging social media platforms through greater visibility, networking and marketing their products/ services more efficiently.

The criteria for selection of tubal blockage diagnosed in diagnostic laproscopy. Uttar basti was administered, after cessation of menstruation, to the screened patient through hematological, urinary and serological (HIV, VDRL, HBsAG) investigations. The result suggests that Uttar basti is a highly significant treatment for tubal blockage. Uttar basti is ideal local therapy is to be adopted in tubal block. Abstract Mass personalization has been an essential paradigm in the Industry 4.0 era. Mass personalization has long been a question of great interest in a wide range of industries. There is a recognized need for a cost-effective approach for dealing with a high number of unique products and services. There has been substantial research undertaken on the role of Industry 4.0 for mass customization. The contribution of Digital Twin (DT) has received little attention within mass personalization. No known empirical research has focused on exploring relationships between DT and mass personalization. The principal objective of this project was to utilize DT for a significant number of unique wetlands. In this study, a Digital Twin architecture was developed and applied to address challenges in regards to a massive number of distinct wetlands. This study is based on an industry-led case with significant value, including scheduled maintenance, real-time monitoring, remote controlling, and predicting functionalities. The findings indicated that there was a positive relationship between Digital Twin capabilities and mass personalization. The present results highlight the detrimental value that Digital Twin has on mass personalization. The results represent a further step towards developing Digital Twin research and development.

--- Processes to Minimize Raw Materials Inventory Level in the Supply Chain Producers are eager to implement their processes more effectively in order to minimize costs and to maximize profit. The primary purpose is to keep inventory value at the lowest possible rate to minimize costs. To this end, the investigated organization operates several processes. One of them is the so-called Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), in which the supplier manages the inventory of the customer and the second is the consignment inventory processing, in which suppliers store goods at the customer location. The principal goal of this paper is to examine whether the application of these methods may result in cost-effective savings for the examined organization and if yes, to what extent. Is the level of cost saving sufficient to enable future application or re-introduction? Research was carried out within the framework of a case study at a producing organization in the North-Great Plain Region taking into consideration the role of information technology systems.
