AbstractWith the growing amount of research projects in the field of interventional radiology, storing and organizing the patients' data and information effectively is becoming more difficult. Existing hospital electronic medical record and archiving systems store patient information in the form of reports which put the physicians and researchers in a situation where they have to use time-consuming manual search through reports for suitable patients for different clinical researches. Spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel® (Microsoft, Washington, USA) are often used as a data storage, which has limitations in both organization and the quality of the data. Higher risk of incorrect data entry and introducing duplicates are associated with data input and analysis without a database system. Furthermore, selection, as well as calculation of data, is time-consuming. This article aims to provide interventionists with an efficient data collection tool optimized for interventional oncology clinical research. The implementation of the current database and interface allows a much faster and more detailed retrospective analysis of patient cohorts. The database management system with an interface is a very time-efficient and robust tool that provides a significant edge over the manual retrieval of patient records by filtering data and assisting statistical analysis in a study-relevant fashion.

A database management system is a constant application of science that provides a platform for the creation, movement, and use of voluminous data. The area has witnessed a series of developments and technological advancements from its conventional structured database to the recent buzzword, bigdata. This paper aims to provide a complete model of a relational database that is still being widely used because of its well known ACID properties namely, atomicity, consistency, integrity and durability. Specifically, the objective of this paper is to highlight the adoption of relational model approaches by bigdata techniques. Towards addressing the reason for this in corporation, this paper qualitatively studied the advancements done over a while on the relational data model. First, the variations in the data storage layout are illustrated based on the needs of the application. Second, quick data retrieval techniques like indexing, query processing and concurrency control methods are revealed. The paper provides vital insights to appraise the efficiency of the structured database in the unstructured environment, particularly when both consistency and scalability become an issue in the working of the hybrid transactional and analytical database management system.

Abstract. Weather data in the form of air temperature, humidity, rainfall, and wind speed require a good storage process so that weather data can be recapitulated for one year. For this reason, it requires the process of storing data through a Database Management System (DBMS). DBMS can manage, store a collection of data well. DBMS users can create, search, maintain and have controlled access to data. Data storage in weather monitoring uses an external hard drive in Comma Separated Values (CSV) format, this kind of data storage is less efficient due to the data being recapitulated manually into a computer. Therefore, the author wants to analyze the performance of database synchronization on Oracle and MySQL DBMS by using Event-Driven and Time-Driven methods for monitoring weather data. As a result, when storing 100 data (records), MySQL has a faster capability of 166 seconds compared to Oracle in 188 seconds of execution time. When the storage process starts from 200 to 1000 data (records) the average execution time in Oracle is 203.56 seconds, while in MySQL the average execution time is 1163.89 seconds. So, the performance of the Oracle DBMS is better than the MySQL DBMS in the process of storing weather data, but the Oracle DBMS has not been able to store data directly from the microcontroller because no program supports it into the Oracle DBMS.
